The stand 2 animation for Quan chi is literally the very reason why I don’t play him anymore. Lost many matches when I kept thinking it was a mid and wondered how I whiffed on a ducking enemy
It’s one of those moves that you constantly have to deal with in order of getting out of the habit of falling for it, just like the Sindel moves and nitara, I lose to them more because they have those goofy looking moves it’s crazy.
My buddy mains him and that gets me every time. I sometimes have a Baraka drill where I have one do that mid low kick and I punish optimally. The closest I can get out in an actual match is uppercutting the douche after that.
ok i might be a Erron main, but I think it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to keep your balance while crouching if someone did a running drop kick at you.

I remember when the game got live…Barakas double kick was a OVERHEAD into a LOW. So glad they fix that with the first patch to make it mid and then low.
all highs should be duckable, unless they are in the middle of a string and the preceding hit jails on block I actually cover every duck punishable high string in each characters punish video
mk definitely randomly applies the logic of "if youre crouch blocking this would totally smack you right in the face/knock you off balance, so lets make it an overhead" its just not very consistent with applying that logic

it’s weird cuz in the day 0 build of the game a lot of animations were fixed. if it looked like a low, it was a low. they like fixed it out of fear for a fun game, but now we’re left with this fucking animation mess
