My go-to moisturizer is riceberry litllexttra. I picked up my 3 tubes a few months ago, and I’ve been using it for 4 months. I have combination skin, and it feels like it’s made for my skin. It completely stops my skin from drying out all day. It’s non-greasy, doesn't have fragrance, this moisturizer feels great on a rainy or chilly weather. Maintains beautiful hydration. You can absolutely trust this brand.
Currently, I’m using the vitamin c serum from riceberry, and it’s working well for my skin. I received the moisturizer today, and it looks promising so far
Tip for the Cerave cream: (If you have dry skin) Apply cream to wet face. It traps the water in your skin and hydrates better! Sounds crazy...but try it! 🙃
Team Cetaphil! I tried to love cerave but it always burned my face and wasn’t thick enough for my dry skin. I have been using the cetaphil very dry sensitive skin cream and I love it!
I’ve tried both and CeraVe broke me out and I started getting a stinging feeling after a week. I’ve been using Cetaphil for a week now and I love it! I haven’t had any issues at all or stinging or any redness. (I have very very dry sensitive and dry skin, I also live in very dry and cold climate)
Oh, I live in a rainy, regular environment and I have sensitive combination skin. I’m trying out CeraVe right now do you think it’ll work for my skin type
Donna I have severe eczema that used to flare up my entire body and face. I’d have a constant bleeding and raw skin patch that was near my shoulder to the start of my arms for months. For me, cerave helped me a lot compared to cetaphil. Although I use cetaphil face wash because it’s very gentle but cleans very well, I love using cerave on my body because I feel like and smooth. It truly depends on the person, but I would definitely say cerave helped me a lot with daily full-body moisturizing.
Cerave cream made me feel like a fool! I’ve been used to using expensive moisturizers like Skinceuticals, Dermalogica, Kiehl’s - and Cerave performs just the same if not better. You can use it on face or body, so you don’t need dedicated ones for certain areas. And it’s formula is simple, simple, simple but still very moisturizing. I actually learned from my dermatologist that a lot of the fragrance/essential oils that expensive stuff claims as beneficial can eventually cause your skin to develop an allergy. You’re better at putting your money towards good quality sunscreens, Vitamin C antioxidants, and retinol.
I just bought that same Cetaphil cream - it looks like they have updated the container. Mine now says it can also be used as a great overnight cream for your face. I love it!
Ronika Rai yes that’s very true. I mainly wanted to test out the textures of each and how they set in my skin. Those two things don’t require a week long review to figure out.
I think for better results you should use the Cetaphil LOTION... in the video you used the CREAM.. I have very oily acne prone skin and the Cetaphil lotion has been working great on my skin. The lotion has a thinner and more smooth consistency and it is definitely easier to apply as well
Enaisha Gomes which of the Cetaphil lotions do you use?! I know that's probably a funny question since I think only 1 actually states on the bottle that it's for face AND body (not including their actual facial moisturizers, but I've seen several reviews on people using different ones from cetaphil on their face, other than the ones that are actually meant for the face... just curious to know which one you've been using that works well for your acne prone skin?!
Hey Audrey, Cerave irritates my skin and face that I had to go to the ER. I am #teamCetaphil which works wonders with me face and body ☺️😊!! I have oily skin. Thanks for sharing both Cerave vs. Cetaphil 💕❤️!!
the cetaphil is really thick and i love that...but for the body only. also, try to apply moisturizer to damp skin instead of dry skin! it’ll glide on way easier!
Beth Lovett for face it’s probably better to use something without fragrance. Vanicream has a shampoo and a soap bar with Zinc Pyrithione that are going to be way gentler and better for the face.
Petrolatum is the No. 1 most recommended ingredient by dermatologists. Cetaphil has a higher percentage if petrolatum than CeraVe. Cetaphil also has fewer ingredients that can cause irritation than CeraVe.
Mini review from someone with intensely dry, acne prone, textured skin: (Used for three months each) Cetaphil Pros: - Glides on the skin easily and can be layered with no problems - Leaves skin glowing - Works well with other products - Helped remove flakes - Gives you an instantly hydrated appearance Cetaphil Cons: - Highly greasy - Seemed to cause an increase in acne or in the very least didn’t help - Unable to place very close to eyes as a result of its greasiness - Needed to be reapplied throughout the day - Gave little indication of long term hydration CeraVe Pro: - Non greasy - Thick but not overly thick - Improved acne, texture and overall hydration - Needs to be applied less - Saw an improvement in how my skin looked overall - Adds a slight luminous glow to the skin CeraVe Cons - Balls up if too much is used - Can not be used under makeup due to its thick nature Overall, the CeraVe cream wins. Not only did the overall hydration of my skin improve, but so did my redness and acne. The CeraVe cream is definitely a slow build for results but it actually repaired my highly damaged moisture barrier. I found myself applying it way less than the Cetaphil cream and found that my skin still looked and felt hydrated even if I applied it once only during the day. This is a great cream if you’re looking for something thick to put on as a final layer to your skincare. The Cetaphil cream provides a more instant result but provides no long term results. The CeraVe really locks in any moisture so it’s great for layering. If anyone wants to know my full routine, let me know (:
I was one of those people who SWORE by cerave, and I used this moisturizer for months and loved how hydrating it is, but gradually I started to notice that it started to clog my pores and it just kept getting worse, it says it’s “non comedogenic” on the back, but I honestly don’t think it is. Be careful, I have so many bumps now, basically clusters of closed/clogged pores, and the texture is horrible :(
me too, i will now try cetaphil pro itch control moisturizer, it is the only not comedogen cream from cetaphil. all creams from cerave have comedogen ingridiens sadly...
Cerave is my favorite skin care brand. I’ve been using their moisturizing lotion for years now. I’ve been wanting to try the cream considering it’s thicker and a little heavier because my skin has been drier than usual because of the cold weather.
I would try Vanicream I used to have dry skin badly and little bumps on my face it sucked. I started watching Dr Dray on UA-cam she’s amazing, also she says after washing your face DO NOT dry your face just put your moisturizer on let that lock in and air dry girl my skin has never looked so good!
CeraVe I find is slightly gummy. Of course, because it has gum in its ingredient list. I still like it but it's not enough moisture for my dry face. Be warned that vanicream cream feels SUPER gummy on the face. Please try and report back.
I've been using Cetaphil on my face for many years. It works well under make-up. Despite Cerave's hyaluronic acid, ceramides and its intended use as a facial moisturizer, I didn't find moisturizing on my face. It also caused several foundations to pill. Cetaphil is my daily moisturizer of choice. I use it in the am/pm. I don't find it too thick or greasy. Cerave works great as a body moisturizer and for hands as well. I never use Cetaphil on my body. I prefer Cerave for that purpose. You can get a pump for the Cerave which makes for more hygienic dispensing of products. Fingers in a tub? Yuck. I also use a special applicator and keep it near the jarred creams I use. Both last a long time. Even using Cerave on my body and hands, a jar will last several months.
Because I have psoriasis, I know every cream, moisturizer , oil, etc. on the market and let me tell you, my choice is Cetafil. I used Cerave for sometime and I returned to Cetafil. Is my moisturizer during the day and I use the night cream and the eye cream, amazing!
Cetaphil is 100 % Better then CeraVa cream with my experience having very dry skin and very dry skin on my hand that crack from being dry from weather and washing my hands all day long . I have very sensitive skin and Cetaphil moisturizing cream is the best product I ever used and will keep using. From head to toe !
Just adding a note here for someone because there aren’t many in depth reviews on the Cetaphil cream: I have combination skin with rosacea and am using tretinoin every 3rd night. I LOVE the Cetaphil cream. Try it out :)
I just purchased CeraVe moisturizing cream and I am so disappointed. It makes my skin, which is normal to dry, feel extremely tight; after application. It is the first time in my life that a cream that is meant to moisturize, makes my skin feel so tight.
Finally, someone with combination skin! I watch a lot of beauty UA-camrs and somehow most of them have dry skin, a couple have very oily skin. I've subscribed to your channel and looking forward to seeing more videos!
Yan Luo Yes that’s correct, products will say “fragrance free” or “unscented”, you do want to look for a product to say “fragrance free” But, the Cerave is legit fragrance free and unscented.
@Yan Luo technically both terms are unregulated, so a product could be “fragrance free” but still have something like lavender oil. Things like the National Eczema Association stamp are what you should look for. Also read the ingredients.
Cetaphil night cream is the best thing ever tbh....not thick, feels like a gel, works as a primer. Cetaphil Cream isn’t designed for your face aha and that’ll have something to do with it xx
There is no sunscreen in those so maybe use them at night. I’m cerave all the way. I use the daytime moisturizer with sunscreen and the cream at night. My skin has changed. Dr.Dray is a skin saver
18 minutes on and on with no decision made-Jeez waste of time-She basically ends up not being able to decide which product to choose-why bother filming this?
It's because she is trying to copy another smaller youtuber who started the cetaphil vs hype! She is just doing it for views and copying smaller youtubers to get that money up!!!
The cerave moisturizing cream is more for your body. It can clog pores since it's pretty thick, but the cerave moisturizing lotion is clearing my skin so fast. (Along with dove soap)
I have been wanting to try CeraVe products, especially their Hydrating cleanser and the moisturizer but unfortunately they are not readily available here in India 🙁. So, for now I am using the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. So far it's been working great. In fact my skin actually feels really nice. I had this dry rash and the Cetaphil really helped. But in future I'll be switching to CeraVe
I enjoy the cerave because it almost feels like a primer if that makes sense. It keeps my face from being dry and it seems to keep my tinted sunscreen on all day.🤷🏼♀️ that being said I’ve never tried the cetaphil cream and maybe I should. Lol
Cerave is way better than Cetaphil!! Ceramides and hyaluronic acid for the win ❤️ it’s totally changed my skin... I love the Cerave PM moisturizer, it’s much lighter and has niacinamide which really good for inflammation and discoloration from acne
It does that to me too, so I put on a bit of coconut oil after the cerave and that eliminates the tightness. I have eczema, and that combination works for me, at least.
This video helps me a lot, thank you so much! I’m Japanese and I’m going to move to the Netherlands at the end of this year. I have eczema, sensitive dry skin and I was not sure which moisturizer to pick. Because air dryness is different from Japan, I don’t wanna make my skin worse than now🥲anyways this video is 4years ago surprisingly, but it’s still helpful video!
I use to like cerave back in 2013 it was the perfect cream but then they changed it and now it doesn’t even feel moisturizing and dries matte. Cetaphil feels greasier for me and I like that better
Alyssa Zapata if she knew that then there was no point in making the video because it’s not a fair comparison lol what’s designed for the body is not for the face and all Lucy did was leave a helpful comment so relax
Katrina Roc you’re telling me to relax? when all I said was that she already mentioned it in the video and to watch before commenting.. make your own video on it or don’t watch if you think it’s an unfair example
Alyssa Zapata yes you do need to relax because your comment was unnecessary lol all that energy and for what? Trust me I stopped watching but I always scroll through comments for tips
I truely don’t know what you’re talking about now.. “all that energy” I said nothing bad and you’re trying to twist my words as if I have. The initial commenter was unaware that the person in the video knew it was for her body and it was mentioned. Her comment was clearly written before she had seen the video fully. My comment literally was just to tell her that it was mentioned. Now, don’t know what energy your talking about but I’m gonna leave it at that because ur attacking me for no reason. Have a nice day ☺️
Sarahhh Beth aww man yea different skin types I’m dryer , there’s a better moisturizer I use too called ultra repair cream from first aid beauty that one more expensive but helps with redness
It's my first day using the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and the daily facial moisturizer with spf 15 in it and it's so good but that's my oppinion (they are both meant for combination skin)
Omg the artwork moved ... spooky. Seriously though, really appreciated your review, super thorough 👍 I’m glad to hear your thoughts since I’ve been using a cetaphil moisturiser and had been curious about the ceravé 😁
I have been using the Cetafil body cream on my face for forever now lol. And I have oily skin! Surprise! It's a great base especially if you use other skin care treatments.
Norma Karina Hey Sis, there are 3 kinds. Blue lid for dry skin, pink lid for dark marks, and red and gray for wrinkles! I use the pink ponds and I love it!!!
CeraVe is amazing and helped me clear my acne. However, I do have very dry skin and CeraVe isn’t the most moisturizing, so I combine it with squalene oil and it works wonders
Thank you so much for this review, extremely helpful because I have combination skin. I love the fact that you’re using drugstore products but also using it with makeup.
Hello, I have been using Cetaphil for a very long time and which i used to order from canada ,Galderma company through online seller. Then i got to know about the Nestle one is less costly, tried them, was so surprised that it was a dissater. I even compared the ingredients from previous bottle which is made in canada, they are different. Yes. And apparently the nestle one is comdegenic on my face . So please review and try to diffrentiate between this two product because i again purchased the canada one and its working magic unlike the nestle version
I agree. I literally just used it and I’m wondering why my skin feels dry still. I have combination skin. I think I’m going to go back to Vanicream. You should try it!
My dermatologist said cetaphil is and dove moisture bar is recommended if use anything and cetaphil has been around much longer so you do you it is 100% by so many by far better that physoderm ,neutrogena , ect ,
@@normakarina5123 I wouldn't because it is soap so it can be quite stripping. If you do, use a ph balancing toner after. If you want a bar try the Cerave hydrating one.

If you develop pimple over night, it’s more likely an allergic reaction than breakout, as pore clogging dose not happen after just one use.

Mini review from someone with intensely dry, acne prone, textured skin:
(Used for three months each)
Cetaphil Pros:
- Glides on the skin easily and can be layered with no problems
- Leaves skin glowing
- Works well with other products
- Helped remove flakes
- Gives you an instantly hydrated appearance
Cetaphil Cons:
- Highly greasy
- Seemed to cause an increase in acne or in the very least didn’t help
- Unable to place very close to eyes as a result of its greasiness
- Needed to be reapplied throughout the day
- Gave little indication of long term hydration
CeraVe Pro:
- Non greasy
- Thick but not overly thick
- Improved acne, texture and overall hydration
- Needs to be applied less
- Saw an improvement in how my skin looked overall
- Adds a slight luminous glow to the skin
CeraVe Cons
- Balls up if too much is used
- Can not be used under makeup due to its thick nature
Overall, the CeraVe cream wins.

Why bother writing this comment
@@daisytorres1614 Exactly.
It's because she is trying to copy another smaller youtuber who started the cetaphil vs hype! She is just doing it for views and copying smaller youtubers to get that money up!!!
@@swtnc0 stop being toxic and stfu
As someone with dry skin, Cetaphil is far better at moisturising than Cerave, Cerave feels like a thick mask with no actual visible benefits
does it feel waxy? like petroleum jelly?
because im planning on switching to Cerave from Cetaphil
CeraVe for eczema! It’s my go-to everyday right now for managing painful facial/chest eczema. Prevents flareups really well.
is it just me or audrey looks extra beautiful in this video?
Awww thank you☺️❣️
I think that too
The cerave moisturizing cream is more for your body. It can clog pores since it's pretty thick, but the cerave moisturizing lotion is clearing my skin so fast. (Along with dove soap)
This can be used for face too, I use it and it has helped my face immensely, if applied correctly and not too much it doesn't clog pores....
Elizabeth Raven it does. its comedogen
I.agree with you
Why not try for a week straight js
That is coming soon☺️
I have been wanting to try CeraVe products, especially their Hydrating cleanser and the moisturizer but unfortunately they are not readily available here in India 🙁. So, for now I am using the Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. So far it's been working great. In fact my skin actually feels really nice. I had this dry rash and the Cetaphil really helped. But in future I'll be switching to CeraVe
i use the certaphil, i have dry skin and in the winter time especially it helps so much!! and makes my skin glow
Yay :) I love Cetaphil too.
Absolutely true i use that too.
Agree perfect for the winter cetaphil
I enjoy the cerave because it almost feels like a primer if that makes sense. It keeps my face from being dry and it seems to keep my tinted sunscreen on all day.🤷🏼♀️ that being said I’ve never tried the cetaphil cream and maybe I should. Lol
I use most Cetaphil products the best!!!
Cerave is way better than Cetaphil!! Ceramides and hyaluronic acid for the win ❤️ it’s totally changed my skin... I love the Cerave PM moisturizer, it’s much lighter and has niacinamide which really good for inflammation and discoloration from acne
The cerave moisturizing cream makes my face feels so tight even when I put it while my face is a little wet
It does that to me too, so I put on a bit of coconut oil after the cerave and that eliminates the tightness. I have eczema, and that combination works for me, at least.
Thank you. I stopped using though because I started getting comedones
@@melodymontilla7586 Ah, okay. Hopefully you find something that works for you, or already have.
cerave always! I’ve tried to use cetaphil moisturisers so many times but they all for some reason have made my skin irritated and made my skin sting 😔
For me is the opposite 😯
What type of skin type do u have again?
I totally agree I use both but Cetaphil for my makeup makes it look sooo good!
This video helps me a lot, thank you so much! I’m Japanese and I’m going to move to the Netherlands at the end of this year. I have eczema, sensitive dry skin and I was not sure which moisturizer to pick. Because air dryness is different from Japan, I don’t wanna make my skin worse than now🥲anyways this video is 4years ago surprisingly, but it’s still helpful video!
your eyebrows are so perfect like every 12sec i look at them and im like uh how
I use to like cerave back in 2013 it was the perfect cream but then they changed it and now it doesn’t even feel moisturizing and dries matte. Cetaphil feels greasier for me and I like that better
I started using dove soap on my face for like a week now and my skin has never looked better so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!
Mia Walsh the bar soap kind?
Catie Daniels yeah the sensitive one
Y'all still use bar soap on face so play out not good at all 😂
Cetaphil is much better than Cerave for moisturizing IMO.
Team cerave also, haven't actúally tried cetafil ha
ThisYellow Flower Yea I have it and it broke out my skin (bumps all over my head)
Its thicker yes because its for the body and the skin on the body is completely thicker as opposed to face skin is more delicate and thiner
the cetaphil lotion you used is made for your body.. they have one that’s made for your face and it’s really good it has a pump.
Lucy Mcbride she already mentioned that in the video. Watch before u comment
Have a nice day ☺️
The cetaphil daily hydrating lotion is my favorite it has hyaluronic acid too 💕
I think I actually bought that one for the weekly review video I'll be doing with Cetaphil!
Audrey Victoria nice hope u like it , it got rid of my dry patches :)
I wanted to love it so much but for some reason it made my face so red!😭
Sarahhh Beth aww man yea different skin types I’m dryer , there’s a better moisturizer I use too called ultra repair cream from first aid beauty that one more expensive but helps with redness
Nicolette Hernandez cerave has hylauronic cermaides and niacinamide
It's my first day using the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and the daily facial moisturizer with spf 15 in it and it's so good but that's my oppinion (they are both meant for combination skin)
Awesome!
i used ceraVe and my skin broke out so i’m trying cetaphil. update: i’m using cetaphil is soo good !!
which products? i broke out too from cerave.. so horrible :(
Omg the artwork moved ... spooky.
Seriously though, really appreciated your review, super thorough 👍 I’m glad to hear your thoughts since I’ve been using a cetaphil moisturiser and had been curious about the ceravé 😁
Both are good! Cerave after the shower for the hyaluronic and cetaphil for reapplications/ before bed !
I mix my cerave with a little bit of rose hip oil and girrrrllll!! Your skin will be glowing
Omg that sounds amazing ! I need to try it.
Audrey Victoria lmk what you think of it !
YAYYY I’VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR YOU TO TRY THIS
:D Yayyy!
the cerave is also for your body
Good to know!
I’m obsessed with this channel
I have eczema and I use cetaphil product for 8 yrs now. That cetaphil moisturizing cream is really thick and mostly it is use for the body only.
I have been using the Cetafil body cream on my face for forever now lol. And I have oily skin! Surprise! It's a great base especially if you use other skin care treatments.
I’ve been waiting for a UA-camr to do this .THANK U SO MUCH😘!!!
No problem!!
Your lashes look AMAZING!!💛
Thank you! It was absolute hell getting it done, but I’m pleased with the results lol.
I use Cetaphil with no issues, but I use the one in a pump bottle. The one I use is for your face and body and is not thick. It's very lightweight.
I prefer aveeno compared to cerave. Their oily moisture is the best
This video is exactly what I needed didn’t know which one to buy
:D
Cetaphil feels good, but after an hour or so, my skin becomes very oily
That's what happened to me, too. But I kind of liked that better than the Cerave.
You should try Ponds moisturizer for a week! Its super hydrating and cheap!
Yess I definitely need to try that!
Can you please tell me which ponds because they have different ones please
Norma Karina Hey Sis, there are 3 kinds. Blue lid for dry skin, pink lid for dark marks, and red and gray for wrinkles! I use the pink ponds and I love it!!!
@@jasminemoore2610 you use it morning and night? And you use any sunscreen? Please
Norma Karina I only use it at night. I always use a sunscreen moisturizer in the morning.
I’m a Cetaphil user more than a decade👍🏻🤩😊
I’m so proud of how far your channel has come!! ❤️
Thank you so much
I love cerave, especially the daily moisturizing lotion. The hydrating cleanser stings, that's the only cerave product I don't like.
Ayesha King it does on me to, I thought something was wrong. Lol
I've been using Cerave for years and i have ALWAYS had a good outcome on it!
Yes Cerave is great!
Cerave is better. I’ve tried both.
I LOVE Cerave! I use it as a body moisturizer but was wondering if I could use it on my face. Thanks!! Winter is a skin destroyer!!
Unfortunately CeraVe gave me cystic acne and redness. Cetaphil was a lifesaver - especially their products with hyaluronic acid 🙏🏻
whats ur skin type?
Which CeraVe products
i have both and recently haven’t decided which i’m gonna stick with so can’t wait to watch this
How was your experience with ceraVe moisturising cream
Hello, I have been using Cetaphil for a very long time and which i used to order from canada ,Galderma company through online seller. Then i got to know about the Nestle one is less costly, tried them, was so surprised that it was a dissater. I even compared the ingredients from previous bottle which is made in canada, they are different. Yes. And apparently the nestle one is comdegenic on my face . So please review and try to diffrentiate between this two product because i again purchased the canada one and its working magic unlike the nestle version
I picked up the cerave one my skin feels dry after 5 minutes! (I have oily acne prone skin)
I agree. I literally just used it and I’m wondering why my skin feels dry still. I have combination skin. I think I’m going to go back to Vanicream. You should try it!
I've dry skin should i buy it or not?
i use the cerave cream and rosehip oil on top it works sooo ngood! also, you need to try products longer to know with skincare 24h isn't enough
Same here !!!
My dermatologist said cetaphil is and dove moisture bar is recommended if use anything and cetaphil has been around much longer so you do you it is 100% by so many by far better that physoderm ,neutrogena , ect ,
Yess I love Cetaphil and Dove!
Dove bar soap to wash the face? Please reply
@@normakarina5123 I wouldn't because it is soap so it can be quite stripping. If you do, use a ph balancing toner after. If you want a bar try the Cerave hydrating one.
