This song was played every where in Tokyo and one of my uncles was crazy about it. I fell in love with the song and to this day I think it is one of the most beautiful songs we hear. Patty Page's unique style of singing and skillfully use her voice to make it so special. The concert she had after 80 years old her voice was just as beautiful, she was truly an amazing artist.
My grandmas father used to love this song, she broke down when she heard it for the first time in years on the tv. She's usually so strong and never cries (she's been through a lot of pain), so it was a big surprise to see her so vulnerable. This was one of my beautiful in wife's favorite songs. I used to love listening to her sing it, she had a beautiful voice. Now it just brings me tears whenever I hear it. It is now almost seven years since I lost her and it doesn't get any easier. We were together for 30 years and I miss her so much

This was my grandmothers favorite song. She only had one CD with this song on burned on it so that she could listen to it whenever she wanted. I can vividly remember dancing to it with her to it when I was 5 and it was played at her 90th and 95th birthday party. She died at 97 and this was the song she was lowered down to. Brings back great memories.

This song was released while my mother was pregnant with my eldest brother. She adapted the song with some nonsense lyrics to use as a lullaby (so she wouldn't have to think of real words at 2:00 am...) It became her Go-to lullaby for four sons, three grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. Not to mention the uncountable kittens, puppies, that need cuddling and lullabying... etc, etc etc,,,

This song is my earliest memory of a song. I remember my mother playing it on a little record player in my bedroom. Born in 1947, it was probably when I was 3 years old when the song first came out and, as I now know, was extremely popular. I have no memory of the lyrics, just the mournful sound of the music.
