hi. my gcse are finished now but i just wanted to drop by and say thank you so much for all the help you have me in my gcse additional science. from the videos to the revision cards on your website, i managed to achieve an A* in Additional Science (my only A*) and an certificate in Outstanding Achievement in Additional Science. it was all down to your help. thank you so much!
Hi. Thanks for the comment, which I appreciate. I'm very impressed by your Additional Science grade. I don't know anyone who has been awarded a certificate in Outstanding Achievement, so well done for that and thanks again for letting me know your grade. Best wishes for your future studies.

hey freesciencelessons. would just like to say, thanks so much for your videos. find them so helpful! i only have 2 more science exams left and your videos have definitely been the structure to my revision! they have helped so much. thankyou!!
Hello, my gcses have finished too. Just Wanted to say thank you for your time and effort in producing top guides in science , because of you i was able to get 2Bs in bio n chem and C in physics, thanks alot! :-) , if you ever wanted an editor for your videos i could do that for you !
hello! i managed to ace my chemistry exam thanks to you! i didnt understand anything before i started watching your videos, but now i understand everything. thank you so much ☺
i thought you were kidnapped by gremlins and disappeared from the surface of the earth, only to return because u forgot to upload more gcse vids. thanks and cheers
I know my grade isn’t that impressive but I got a 5 overall in my science mocks. I got a 7 in physics, a 4 in biology and I did awful in chemistry and got a 2 but that isn’t surprising when I didn’t have a chemistry teacher for two years. However, I truly believe I can pass science purely because of your amazing videos I got two grades above my target:) Thank you,
Anyone else here for 2024 exams?? Just did my mocks and got a 54 in science but got a whole year to improve so I started early. Plus can someone ask how my gcse's went 3 years from now and I will try to answer
Thank you for making these videos Sir. They are concise yet comprehensive. However you didn't mention locating agents. It is mentioned in the IGCSE syllabus but perhaps not in the GCSE syllabus. Thank you again Sir.
I read on Khan Academy that the spot that travels farthest was most attracted to the mobile phase, because the different substances in the mixture’s composition are attracted to the stationary and mobile phases in different proportions, causing them to move at different rates up through the paper. That's different to what you said just before 2:46 . I'm a bit confused, could you explain please?
I'm using this to make flashcards that are due in tomorrow at 9 o'clock, it's 11:40 now, so I think Instead of making flashcards, I should probably be working on time management...
hi, i have 2 questions and btw i have a bio and chem assesment in a week (im a gcse student) and ur videos are really helping, thanks. 1- when will the gcse videos be finished. 2- when are the revision guides coming out. 3- are the revision guides for new gcses. 4- when will all gcse videos be up. thanks in an advance
Thanks for the comment. Here's the answers to your questions. 1. All the GCSE videos for the current (outgoing) spec are finished. The videos for the new specification will be finished over the next twelve months. I think that answers question 4 as well. 2. The revision guides link to the videos so I'll roll them out every few months (the first one should be around Christmas). They won't be free but they won't be expensive. 3. The revision guides will be for the new specification. Hope that's ok. Good luck with your assessments.
Hi sir, I am currently in y11 and am trying to revise for paper 2. I am trying to write a method for this practical, and I was wondering whether I need to specify how to find the midpoint of each spot (i.e do you specify to find half of the spot’s vertical height using a ruler). Thanks for all of your videos, they have really helped me revise.
I cannot predict exactly what the examiners will accept but I would say that it's worth specifying how to determine the midpoint (at least that way, you've been specific). Best wishes for paper 2.
THE PERSON ACTUALLY SMILED... THANK YOU FOR THE HELP ON CHROMATOGRAPHY BY THE WAY, I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT THE EFFECT OF GEAT WOUKD BE ON THIS METHOD OF SEPARATION... JUST OUT OF INTEREST?😃😃😃
Hello, love your videos they are a really big help! I'm currently in my last year for GCSE's and I was wondering does this still relate to the old GCSE spectrum or is there another video? :)
Hi and thanks for the comment. You'll find videos covering all of the topics in the old GCSE spec (around 300 videos). Look through the playlists on my channel and you'll find what you need. If anything says 9-1, then that's for the new spec but there are only about 20 videos for that.
Thanks for the comment. There's really no easy way to identify this from the structure of the dyes (you could but that's probably pushing it even for A level).
It depends on the solvent being used. For example, If a substance is not soluble in water(solvent) It wouldn't move up because it doesn't dissolve in water, trying with another solvent may work!
Hi, you said you had to divide the distance moved by the solvent (75mm) by the distance moved by the substance (44mm). But when you divided it, shouldn't it be 0.58(no units) and not 0.57?? 44÷75=0.58666666666666

Hope you passed the paper tho.

Thanks for the comment. There's really no easy way to identify this from the structure of the dyes (you could but that's probably pushing it even for A level).
I just wanted to know that when measuring the distance travelled by substance, which spot do we measure till.
We measure until the last spot
Thanks bro best teacher

I don't think it's out yet :)
do we realy need chromatography paper and solvent to seprerate substances
exactly.....
I just had a look at a practice test and the mark scheme showed that you measure the solvent distance from the bottom of the paper????
I wonder How do we ask doubts here ?

Why is it higher the solubility the further it moves up the paper?
It depends on the solvent being used. For example, If a substance is not soluble in water(solvent) It wouldn't move up because it doesn't dissolve in water, trying with another solvent may work!
What is there are several chemicals on an unknown substance like different spots what does we measure then
