I remember months ago when that steer spindle flopped out. Andy saw it and says “oooh”. I am glad you are fixing it and not sending it to the hedge row.
Seeing the crack in the plastic engine side cover at 0:37 reminds me of having good luck with a Hot Plastic repair kit that uses a heat gun with staples the heat up and melt into the plastic. I was impressed at how quick and how well these repairs have held up and stop cracking more. 800PCS Hot Stapler Plastic Repair Kit amazon.
Reminds me of Pakistan videos. These super "high skilled professionals"™ dismantle entire trucks and engines using only sledgehammers. And even reassemble them using only sledgehammers. Miraculously, they manage that the tolerances are usually less than 2 fingers. They are so proud of their work, they give you a taillight warranty on their repairs (as long as they can see the taillight, the warranty applies).
I’m a retired car hauler my last tractor and trailer had 42 hydraulic cylinders and 1300 feet of hose most were 6-1 and 6-2 a few feet of 8-2 telescop were more trouble but with the right tools everything was easy I used 32 weight oil I think some guys used 68 weight I think I’m forgetful sometimes. Enjoy your videos. God bless.
Forklift forks without a hole in the end of them are like a day without sunshine. I'm surprised that you didn't cut the holes in the forks as soon as you brought it home.😊
Hey Andy, You left us hanging for 10 minutes watching the cylinder drain out. I quit counting at 50 drips! I was afraid the picture would sweep away to someone power washing the forklift. I know how you like to wash equipment after you fix it! lol! Still a cool video--thanks!🚲
Many, many years ago, I did a VERY similar repair on an ( I think Allis Chalmers ) narrow-aisle lift. The repair lasted about 30 years, ... until the company went belly up. The machine was still going strong when the new owner hauled it away .....
Always enjoy your videos, Andy... I was curious at to the capacity of your forklifts. I pretty much drove forklift all through the 70's in a warehouse environment. Unloading and loading box cars and 40 ft. semi's. Only drove Hyster brand... 5 yrs on a LP truck and 5 more yrs on electric units. It was a great job for me. Thanks for all your efforts to bring us these videos. Russ
I would feel the forklift tires with foam. Your tire dealer do it for you. Cost about $250 a tire. They're very heavy and don't go flat. Farm'in&fix'in
Andy, love to have the money you shell out on expenses, I know it's part of the business and upkeep on equipment. Nothing last forever!! Andy where do you get your hand towels? Great content as always. Thanks again!!
Another great video andy keep them coming here's 1 for nate to tell the keyboard cretins the foot prints in the sands of time are not made by sitting on your arse like i said keep it coming enjoy it all
WHAT ABOUT MACHING THAT SPINDLE SO IS TRUE AND SHIM IT UP WITH SOME HARDED SPACERS ? KEEP IT GREASED GOOD. OR WELD IT UP AND MACHINE IT BACK DOWN. DO YOU FOLKS HAVE A MILLING MACHINE OR LATHE OR OTHER MACHINES ?
Love all videos. I have a question. You mentioned that you like the Red Paper Towels better. What is the brand name. I live in Texas and would like to try and find them. Thanks.
I would fill the fork lift tires up with foam. Get tire dealer can do it for you. Couldn't cost about 250.00a tire. Make it very heavy and you don't get flats....farm'in&fix'in.
There really is no reason for OSHA or EPA.!! It's called just having common sense.!! Unfortunately there are many people lacking in that area in today's society....😇😇✌💛🗽💯
@FarmingFixingFabricating I saw that as you did it. Been there and done that. I had a badly worn right spindle on a 12,000 lb Clark forklift, when I was mechanic at a machine shop. But we had an 8,000 lb. that was pretty much junk engine wise. I had the same spindle, so I stole it and took care of the 12,000 lb. unit.
Why dont you by some electric lift (column electric) at the aunction, that will be a lot easier to reech some part of youre équipement instead of rolling around on the ground in all these dirt, you are no longer young and it will protect your knees. Exemple for your lift 3 columns would have bien necessary to work in complete safety and comfort, don't forget you still important for your children, they whill still need you for a very long time. Be wise to stay healty Andrew by the right tool.
The kind i talk about are mobile, the only thing you need is 600volt outlet connection, and i think you have some of them around the shop. only need is 4 columns , they are like wheel lift, you can use it outside in the summer, wach the under of youre truck or small tractor, use it anaywhere in the shop, when youre not use it live them along the wall. Very very handy tool. You can lift up a pickup whit only two of them, anyway you know what you need youre te boss.
Not sure why anyone felt the need to disrespect Nate, he’s a decent and nice young man. Love the channel
People disrespect others because they add little or no value themselves and are gelatinous of the value the other person adds.

That’s a lot of stuff
I was thinking one day that this forklift was about the only piece of equipment that you hadn’t worked on but that’s what I get for thinking!
Always love your videos, “my favorite is the clean to operate, not work on” and the reverse trolling of the keyboard quarterbacks.
I think that's the longest I've ever watched hydraulic cylinder casing in my entire life
Sorry didn’t realize that I hadn’t deleted that clip
we got to watch it drip!🤠
@@FarmingFixingFabricating hi
@@FarmingFixingFabricatingdon’t apologize. The viewer can fast forward

Andy, whoever said that about Nate probably shouldn’t poke a grizzly bear? You’ve got a great crew working for you .

You'd think nate would do 5 mins of research on witty lines of the day to steal the show haha
No interest I suppose
Thanks for the shout out to Kurtis.
CEE is brilliant 👍
@@rosonoftom1655 He is one of my very favorites.
That is a lot of work. Maybe start looking for complete newer unit Keep the 83 as spare

Glad you found an axle. Still a good needed forklift.
The forklifts are an expensive must have tool. They do however have a life span as well. Good job at making another working unit out of the old girl.
When I saw that “hammer” shaft rolling off the table I had to grimace ,almost feeling the pain of the iron hitting your foot 😮😮😂
Nice work Andy. The rest of you great job. Have a good day.
Thanks for sharing, Andy.
You got a great crew.

Giving the old forklift some love great video
Hi Andy !
Good video and good job !
Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day at the farm ! 🙋♂️
You did well Andy, lots of patience 👍
Another good one Andy KEEP THEM COMING 🐄 🚜 🇺🇲 👍
Great video Andy thank you!
Thank you for another great video. Cheers
You should splash a little of that special green paint on the fork lifts. It will make them run better
Andy another great video.

That fork lift has served you well just due a bit of TLC.
You made me think of something andy! Thought for the day, I see said the blind man as he picked up his hammer and saw
Great video. Getting those small shop jobs knocked out.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ANDY 😊
Glad to see the shop mule get some TLC
You get 20 years out of it 👍🚜
All looking good! I only have 1 question….what is a pail? We use buckets in KY!!! Lol
I don’t know why they disrespected Nate. As you said Andy that guy who said that was a moron.
Andy now the rollers wont get oiled anymore.
I bought a forklift that set idle for a couple yrs, and had to replace several cylinder seals
Did you check the chains for stretch and fork thickness??
You don’t get much warning when they decide to give it up.
Next time when you work on the steering part, it's much easier to remove it. Where I worked they would repair any brand that the company owned.
Here is a thought for the day for Nathan. “every day is an IQ test”. Tell him to use that one next time.👍

Gone? That forklift bearing is BEYOND gone!
Is there no cardboard around to put on the floor before you clean the concrete with your nice pullover?
Knee pads too!

The only thing i would call considering how big he is would be SIR.
I’ ve yet to see a set of forks without a hole in at least one fork. Some of these even passed an osha inspection.
Have a new John Deere SK d with fork attachment that I refuse do
I think the forklift would look cool with a Blackand Red paint job. Just saying. Lol
The girls could probably do a really good pain job.
Clark do a nice tricycle forklift,,There also about 30 years old ,,but much better suited to your shop than the 4 wheelers,,
Dam Andy u can come get me cuz my bday is the 10th of April, then we can celebrate them together. I'm gonna be 67
Dont forget the caution tape also. Gotta be extra careful so the little pansies wont tell on you. Lol. Great video as always!

I wondered what happened to sand truck
Show it - otherwise we do not believe it got done. Good one. 🙂

I know a guy that has worked on them a lot of years he’s retired now Jim hotaling
Throw the pin in some liquid nitrogen (which I'm sure you have in a Seman Tank) n it will slip right in
We have a liquid nitrogen tank in the shop at work for that purpose.
I would have said Nate looks more like Jason Momoa than Sasquatch
Andy Was wondering why you guys don't wear mechanics Coveralls ?
Just one more item to wash,s as dirty as I get I’m not going to wear a pair of two days in a row without washing
Nathen is just getting primed for a (hot one)
Why didn’t you run beads of weld on it then grind it smooth
Because he's a farmer with a farmer mentality…
Better be careful with the torch on the forklift you could start a grease fire
Do you give your guys off on weekends.
Everybody get one day off a week
There really is no reason for OSHA or EPA.!! It's called just having common sense.!! Unfortunately there are many people lacking in that area in today's society....😇😇✌💛🗽💯
Aren’t those single acting hydraulic cylinders ? They shouldn’t have oil in the top ?
That's why he rebuilt them
naw Grizz , Grizzly Adams maybe
I love your 10 lb hammers around !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I wonder just how old that forklift is? I am guessing 40 plus years old.
1983
Press the pin out of the spindle
We did

That one clip was greasy

Hammer mechanic. SMH He's got three tools in the toolbox, and they're all hammers
Where have you been boy?i miss your intelligent comments
No way you would say that stuff to him in person.
I really like your videos but I will be honest if it’s over 35 minutes I skip over it. Sorry
