@@beertje6394 er zijn zeer concrete aanwijzingen voor het bestaan van Jezus en z'n directe volgelingen, door diverse seculiere historici UIT DIE TIJD. Denk aan Tacitus, Flavius Josephus, en anderen. De vraag is, wil je het zien? Veruit de meeste SECULIERE geleerden op het gebied van de oudheid zijn van mening dat er wel een Jezus geweest moest zijn, die de directe aanstichter was van de geruchten. De effecten die we zien en de historische verslagen zijn gewoonweg niet anders te plaatsen. Ook de Joden en de Moslims erkennen z'n bestaan, terwijl ze er baat bij hebben om dat niet te doen.

Uiteindelijk komt het op geloof neer. Maar zeker geen blind geloof. De werken van God zijn te zien in de schoonheid van de Schepping, in het mysterie van de liefde die we onderling hebben, in de geotdendheid van de natuur (denk aan de guldensnede dat overal in de natuur terugkomt), en ga zo maar door.
Natuurlijk valt alles weg te redeneren dmv een naturalistisch wereldbeeld. Maar ook dat is geloof. Ik zie alleen genoeg concrete aanwijzingen - los van m'n eigen ervaringen - voor het bestaan van God.
Ik zou zeggen: geef Jezus de kans. Pak eens een Bijbel en lees eens het evangelie van Johannes (ong. op 3/4e deel). En vraag aan God om zichzelf te openbaren als hij echt bestaat. Hij wil zichzelf niet aan ons opdringen. God is liefde, en echte liefde laat ruimte voor keuze. Maar vraag Hem, en je zult je antwoord krijgen.

Er is geen bewijs voor hem. Niets is volmaakt. Als God alles geschapen had was hij zeer incompetent geweest voor iets dat omnipotent is. Neem het DNA voor het synthetiseren van vitamine C. De mens heeft het, het is kei handig en had vele mensen levens kunnen redden. Maar het is uitgeschakeld bij de mens, een inactief gen. Dat getuigd niet van een alwetend genie. Als een perfect iets zo'n imperfecte wereld kan schapen geloof ik niet dat het perfect is. God is een vaag concept en een slecht wetenschappelijk model. Je kunt er geen voorspellingen meedoen en in de zoektocht naar de waarheid is dat belangrijk.
Het feit dat je zegt dat je geloof nodig hebt om een naturalistisch wereldbeeld zegt dat je te weinig weet van de wetenschappelijke metbode om hier iets over te zeggen. Geloven is gedefinieerd in het woordenboek als ' vertrouwen in of op' met als synoniem aannemen. Wiskundig gezien is aannemen hetzelfde als postuleren, wat gebruikt wordt als je anders geen oplossingen kan vinden. Dit gaat buiten bewijzen om en wordt gedaan omdat ze het anders niet weten. Een zet uit onwetendheid. Wetenschappelijke verklaringen komen niet voort uit onwetenheid en aannames. Ze komen voort uit analyses en experimenten. God spreekt zichzelf tegen in de Bijbel en is inconsistent van nature. De christelijke God is zo gedefinieerd dat dit beide onmogelijk zou moeten zijn.
Ik vind God ook op basis van mijn morele kompas immoreel. Richting homo's, richting vrouwen, etc en een immorele God zal ik niet volgen of hij bestaat of niet.
Gedachten experiment: als de wetenschap morgen bewijst dat God niet bestaat. Ga je dan mensen vermoorden en verkrachten aangezien je toch niet naar de hel gaat? Zo niet, waar haal je dan je morele kompas vandaan want van God kan niet meer. Als wetenschap morgen bewijst dat God wel bestaat verander ik niets aan mijn doen en laten. Ik brand liever in de hel dan dat ik homo's stenig en forceer mijn dochter te trouwen met haar verkrachter.
