@@bjarnyg I don't agree at all that someone is wasting talent if they do covers , or sing other people's songs . I am sure there are some great singers who don't write songs . I love to hear good singers , and I was never concerned about who's song it is .

Even P!NK herself watched Davina sing it in a cover and said she sang it better then she did. And P!NK did it pretty damn good. So that's saying something. Especially when you get to sing at her Beautifull Trauma Tour. The range she has is exceptional and powerfull.

Queen is the greatest band ever because he knew that he had bandmates that could contribute to his singing and he knew exactly where and he knew what else they had to contribute. Having an ego of "I am the greatest and no one can improve on what I am doing" is the first step to failure.

Everyone is talking about Davina Michelle, but we are forgetting the backing vocalist. In the last part of this video she is rocking it with the harmony in the chorus! AMAZING!
I totally agree with you. I know the backing vocal personally. She is incredibly musical, can sing many genres fantastically and her pronunciation is amazing. Without wanting to criticize Davina, I am often disturbed by her pronunciation (which could be just me). Musically and lyrically Davina is certainly very good. But I'm not really a fan to be honest.

@@johnwuyts Eva draait al een dikke 20 jaar mee in de muziekwereld heeft vele bekende Nederlandse en Belgische artiesten mogen ondersteunen als backing, meerdere keren op grote podia gestaan en is een veel gevraagde en door de muziekwereld gewaardeerde backing. Als je maar 1 liedje kijkt zijn het idd "maar" 30 seconden. Maar denk eens alle backings weg, dan wordt een lied vaak echt veel kaler. Dat is ten minste hoe ik het beluister. Ik wil u niet overtuigen van de kwaliteiten van Eva-Jane. Ik WEET wat ze kan. Hoe ze liedjes naar een hoger plan kan trekken. Daarvoor hoeft het niet perse iemands ambitie te zijn om front te gaan zingen als bekende zanger. Ik heb haar vaak genoeg in een front rol mogen zien en iedere keer genoten. Ik zeg verder niks over of Davina haar "nodig" heeft. Ik spreek enkel mijn waardering uit voor wat hier gebeurde. That's all.

Incredible! She's no longer singing a cover, she finally made this her song. She reinvented this song with her essence! Love it! Phenomenal!
I dare to go even further, Pink might have written this, but when she realized Davina did a better job vocally then herself, the thought must've crossed her mind like; "Shit! I've wrote this, but this girl is acing this track, I might aswell give it to her". Pink will never admit this statement, (Nor should she) but deep down she realizes it's the truth. I don't want to take anything away from Pink, as she's a class singer/songwriter, but especially in this performance, she got outdone by Davina.

Just everything about this performance is so perfect, her beauty, her presence, makeup, jewelry, hair, outfit, shoes, the lighting, the camera work, the editing, musicians, the reaction shots, her dynamics, and her movement -- such a natural performer, so much ease, yet so much emotion. Whoever engineered this arrangement is a rockstar. Her voice on its own is amazing and bringing in only one other harmony at the end could only work if the solo backup artist is also an amazing singer. Powerful and stuck on the brain.

Zoals het Nieuwsblad het schreef de Nederlandse nachtegaal prachtig dit is er boenk op zeggen ze in Vlaanderen. Een ontzettend mooie uitvoering van dit fantastische nummer.
Inderdaad kan deze zangeres de Nederlandse taal ook perfect ten tonele opvoeren en is dat steeds met de juiste stemperfonmance!!! Van deze dame gaan we in Vlaanderen nog meer horen!

I wish Pink could see this particular performance. Davina really has made the song her own, and I think Pink would love it even more than the performance she saw before. Had I written this song, I would be in tears of awe and joy. Actually, I am anyway. As Pink once said: "Now I know how this song is supposed to sound!" I’ve never heard anyone do a song better than the original yet sound like the original voice and sound so effortless. Her voice is so powerful and so effortlessly done in this song. Each word is so eloquently pronounced and cleanly pronounced too. The original isn’t the same, it seems like the artist has to put her all in to get it out and this artist doesn’t have the problem: I’ve never seen someone do this with a song

I just watched the first version that Pink watched and it was good really really good and emotional. This is one is another lever, very beautiful and deep. I believe there is 5 years of difference between them and you can hear the hard work of the singer, her voice sounds different, more mature and professional. I loved it.

Echt niet, ze komt net kijken. Er is meer voor nodig om de titel "De Beste" te krijgen. Echter, Davina is wel hard op weg om die titel te veroveren, ware het niet dat er nog minimaal 3 Nederlandse zangeressen boven haar staan, te weten; 3. Sharon den Adel (Within Temptation), 2. Simone Simons (Epica) en de onbetwiste nummer 1 is de meest veelzijdige zangeres ter wereld op dit moment, Floor Jansen (Nightwish, ReVamp, Northward en After Forever). Sharon en Simone kan ze hebben, maar Floor is echt nog wel een maatje te groot voor Davina. De tijd zal het leren.
