Erosion can work wonders, layering with white noise is cool too! Depends on what sound you are looking for. Try to copy and shift the Synth 1 or more octaves down/up. If you're using a Plugin also try changing the phase (or simply the Waveforms) on that part, listen carefully for phase issues though!!! Hope that helped a bit :)
