he was made skate at 4, or even if let's say he choose it himself of course he wasn't thinking so far ahead when he was 4, he just happened to start skating very young, you didn't, and its no one's fault. also know its ok for one to still be figuring out life at their 20-30 or trying to change it at even 80, but being a professional athlete is a job that starts exceptionally early- and ends early as well, same as the entertainment industry i think? because people start practicing these jobs during school years, while most other jobs start after schooling is done so don't feel bad if you haven't yet done anything big at your age(?) +most of these people who start their careers very early kinda despise people who didn't and wish that they had enjoyed their childhood laying around instead.. I'm not trying to criticise any lifestyle, I'm just saying don't feel bad for decisions you didn't even make.. and sorry for my bad English

Aw, re-watching this makes me feel so nostalgic. I know, there's no chance of Dai coming back, but boy do I miss him! He was such a beautiful, versatile skater and a gracious, complimentary senpai as well. Had he stayed competitive just a little bit longer, Shoma's wish of competing against his idol could've come true.

he wasn't lying when he said that he was thinking takahashi created a very interesting atmosphere, tho. he just phrased it very nicely. and they all got what he meant because they actually said what hanyu was too polite to (it's amazing how he phrased it too, because it was the truth without being hurtful at all) right after. takahashi even laughed at himself for it. i like how these guys are able to be objective even about themselves. ^_^
