I think the first time I noticed this was watching Fighting Youth, even though the story focused on the women. Peter Ho was a CEO, older, but sometimes his character acted younger.

I think the ending was meant and to show that he wanted to save both woman and the only way to do so was to choose the bad girl outright and use his life to save the one he loved. As far as him being still dressed in a suit after being shot???? Maybe he was shot with a blank, and the shock made him pass out?
I'm surprised everyone was upset that he used the line "sleep with me and I'll save your dad" ( although he said it, but that is not why they slept together) and completely ignored the fact that he raped her and did physical damage to her that required her to have minor surgery to repair her. Gotta love a man that would do that.....if she didn't run far away from him after that, then she really is rather dumb.
I'm going to have to go back and rewatch a portion of this. I did not have the same take on her need for surgery that you did. Got to rewatch it and see what I missed

Great drama with non-stop action. No excessive abuse or betrayal by the Ml. Attractive cast, great acting and good storylines. It amazed me that the Fl's boyfriend of 4 years decided to marry the wealthy other woman but wanted her to be his mistress. I admired that she refused to be a mistress to this cheating ex-boyfriend who then relentlessly pursued her using her need for money as a way to control her. I was impressed with the tall, maturely dashing and handsome Ml, Shaoting, who had amazing chemistry with the petite, inexperienced, self-reliant and pretty Fl,Wen Man. Misunderstandings, misinterpretations, jealousy and outside interferences threatened to sabotage Shaoting and WenMan's relationship, but their love remained strong. Well-worth watching.
In the end he still didn’t choose her..he hesitated for many minutes…he only jumped in front of a gun…he would have done same for other girl…he didn’t choose….he is a loser of a man!
Ex purposely targeted her financially and emotionally by freezing her family asset, framing her father and getting her fired from the job. I don't get why ML was acting as if it doesn't effect his own family's interest and his sister's future as well.
"No excessive abuse from ML". Maybe you have been desensitised. He raped her and she needed surgery? What is that? Love. This story tried to make ML less 1 dimensional but he was a jerk. He also controlled her by "her terms". Gross 2:59:35.

I want to clear up some misconceptions, she doesn't have a one night stand with him. He never tells her to sleep with him and then he'll help her father. He wants her to fall in love with him and not just be with him because he can help her father.
Does he say and do some rather awful things along the way....oh yeah, absolutely...but he didn't hold her father's case hostage to make her sleep with him.

Yeah I LOVE both these actors but the writers wrote them so bad. Hardly any sweet moments. Then when they finally take it to the next level there was no build up and we dont even know it happened until they mention it in the next scene. Also they cut out the 1st two minutes of the drama when they 1st meet eachother in the road.

Gostei da série é muito boa mesmo. A história é muito interessante tem tramas conspiração romance e conspiração a violência é moderada. O casal protagonista é fantástico lindos demais talentosos fofos profissionais adoráveis o ator é muito talentoso e já vi outras vezes em outras séries a atriz também já vi e sou fã dos dois o elenco é fantástico lindos demais talentosos fofos profissionais adoráveis que são excelentes. I loved this version of the plot. ML is gorgeous and a great actor. FL is a super star in these dramas. This drama had you all in your feelings. You wanted the FL to win and you wanted the ML to be her ally in winning. She stood strong even when she was weak, and ML decided he wasn't going to let her go. Even though he broke her heart repeatedly. For it to be a high quality production, not sure why they were laying in street clothes in the hospital bed after said operation. Anyhoo 3+ hrs and an abrupt incomplete ending...on to the next!!!

It's still stupid that the ML is not more interested in taking the case up. His sister is engaged to the villain. Villain framed the father to blackmail FL to be his mistress. But he keeps acting up and thinks telling the girl to not get involved would be enough.
It directly affects ML's sister's interest. What was he even playing at? He should have looked at the case and told villain to quit in instantly or forget the marriage. She got hurt by the villain and already pushed down the stairs.

I really enjoyed this drama right up until the Male Lead assaulted the Female Lead, which was so severe that she required surgery. He also told her that she was not allowed to end the relationship. Basically, he treated her exactly the same way the evil Second Male Lead did.
The ML is very attractive, so i had overlooked other issues with his behavior until that moment. But that scene totally ruined his character for me. He gets no second chance from me after that. Very disappointed.

I read a lot of reviews and had to see it for myself! The suit tie and glasses in the hospital bed was just too much! How did he still have the necklace in his coat pocket? Loved the fact that like a lot of other people have said the handsome ML looks the part of a high flying lawyer and the FL was beautiful but my lord between the phone ringing or people walking in at the most awkward time this might have been two hours long. It does end abruptly and left a lot of questions making me think there might be more. I enjoyed the acting and styling but the script needed reworking especially the end.

1. How is the result of wen man's dad? As i remember, the court is just suspend her dad case.
2. How about manman's ex? He did many evil things to manman. I wanna see how he will end seriously!!
3. The last is how manman and huo shaoting hv a happy life?? I wanna see manman live a happy life with the man she love.
Btw i am kinda shocked when shaoting threatening manman with her dad's case. How can he turn to be this kind of man?? In that moment, i saw him is no different with gu chanqing. Poor manman..

These short dramas spend so much time with same meaningless monologue in the middle that it leaves no time for a good ending. They're always like 5 minutes for rush ending.
