You can really see just how emotionally neglected he is in his marriage. The fact that he mentioned that it's nice to hear someone agreeing with him for once makes me so sad. He seems like such a sweet guy who is undermined by an emotionally unstable wife. Not saying his wife is a villain but they clearly don't function well as a couple. Him and Flor had undeniable chemistry and most importantly a deep understanding of one another. Most people search their entire lives for such strong compatibility.
@@KayKay114 I read the other day that if couples want to settle instead of searching for the most compatible one, both of them should be willing to continuously build the relationship stronger. Because if you just choose to settle in an incomplete home, you’ll just see it as a broken home which, like you said, ends up in divorce. People today don’t really want to focus on building. They want to believe they’ve found the perfect match and end up finding out later on it’s not perfect, and not willing to build/fix on from there.
@@kubo6978 for sure! I don't know why people settle and then get unhappy later on. You can settle and still be happy, you just have to work harder at it. I agree what your saying mate. I was in the same spot, my future ex wife and I are not the same. Her raised spoiled, and I, raised as trash. He and his wife are not compatible. I wish I had a wife as great as Flor, but now I don't trust women anymore to be in a relationship of any kind, physically and emotionally. Flor is about family, commitment, being humble. The best line in the movie: "...nothing is going to change that heart." This is perhaps the only movie where the male protagonist falls in love with a woman and her beauty is like #4 on the list for reasons why.
All the things she does and says in her role… match her physical aesthetic: which is what makes her that much more beautiful. She hides nothing emotionally, she says everything she’s thinking about. How rare is that in ANY human being these days? And even more rare for someone else to acknowledge, appreciate, and admire it at face value… that’s a flower (flor) no one person can grow instantly to. A beautiful, and rare flower must be nurtured and raised and appreciated to really show its beauty. It’s in all of us, but until we learn as a society to do these things, we won’t see such beauty in any of it.
This scene made me laugh so hard! Lol I loved this movie. So true to life and how we meet people for a reason. The stronger people are there to help guide us and this woman was strong to not ruin his marriage by falling for him too. They had so much respect and admiration, if he didn't have kids or was still with his wife, he would be with her. I was rooting for them actually from how he was being treated by his wife, but knew when a marriage falls apart and your kids see this, it's your duty to pick up the pieces again and not leave them behind. I'm glad to see the strength in him too.
shan4883 She actually did fall in love with him. That’s what so heart breaking. She gave him up. Remember, she said “there are some mistakes you can’t make when you have children”.

Adam sandler is a hell of an actor we all know that, the problem is he makes a perfonce like this once in 15 years an then does 5 zohan movies in a row
Nah you missed the point. When her husband left, she made her very life about her kid. She met a man was in a similar situation with his wife, although his wife hadn't left, she was just crazy and cheating on him. Rather than get involved in a scandal she stifled her romantic feelings in an effort to keep his family from breaking apart, and she refocused her life back on her daughter. That's why this movie is narrated by her daughter; because the daughters success was a result of her heroic mother doing the right thing when it would have been so easy to have done the wrong thing, justified though it may have been. They both deserved the love they had for each other, but it would've damaged the children. So they put their kids first instead. Rare good message from Hollywood. Take them as they come.
