Have you moved from a warm climate to a cold climate? How did you cope?
This past week it still hasn’t got as cold as it usually does, but we had the most snow for a November since they started recording 100 years ago. Usually in November the temperature drops a lot but no snow. We don’t usually see snow until late December, or sometimes, even later.

I actually thought of you when I was watching the news the other day. That was a pretty good dump of snow you got. Lol.
Here in Alberta Canada, we are used to winters like that. It’s a normal for us but when you don’t usually get that much, it can be a bit of a problem.
    Good to see you.
stay warm just remember summer is only around the corner. L O L.

Thank you for answering my question! I hope you are all enjoying the winter there.
It was really unseasonably warm here for the longest time this year, then about a week or two ago it started getting really cold. But not much snow, yet! Nothing accumulated on the ground, anyway.

The kitchen set is cute, I've actually been hunting one for a few days for my todler. Hopefully she'll play with her pots and give mine a bit of a rest😅.
Regarding temperatures we live in Romania and winters are a lot similar, we already have an average of 5°C and lemme tell you, the kid is getting lonely at the park. There's this other todler with a foreign parent that became friends with my baby girl but romanian parents especially here in the rural area seem to keep their kids away from cold at all costs😅

The weather in my State is a lot like Korea's winters. Don't apologize, North America should be getting on board with the metric system, like ages ago. I hope we actually get more snow this year, than our most recent years. I am so NOT looking forward to the cold, although our weather is just starting to go that direction, we have been warmer for longer.

Oh this video felt so upside down. I'm from Finland and have lived in Korea. Now living in Finland I long for Korea's short and mild winters. Even my Korean husband nowadays says about the Finnish winter "this winter is so mild" when it's -5°C. Last winter -35°C lasted for a week. I long for those Korean winters with lots of light and having the hope that in a few months it's over. Here in Finland you know that you can feel the warmth of the sun on your skin earliest in May, in Korea it's like February.

I am from Michigan, USA, a place that has snow on the ground all winter and is colder than Korea. Korean winters were harder for me. Michigan has snow but actually it's very dry outside. A dry cold. Korea is humid in the winter. That cold humidity was harder for me because it chilled me to the bone and I couldn't shake it all night. I'd come home and lay on the floor to have the ondol thaw me. 🤣
Also, where I'm from, we drive everywhere so less exposure to the cold. Korea I'd have to walk to stations and wait in the cold for the bus or taxi. So more exposure to the cold.
It was interesting to me to see the difference!

Yes, that is a good point! In Korea it's normal to walk around in the cold. The markets and everything are still open even when it's -15.

I have never visited South Korea, in winter. But then again my father in law lives in Cheorwon😅.
The Netherlands, where I grew up we used to wear long underwear. Kids would also wear these hats where you can also only eyes. Now we live in London, we still wear it to baseball practice of our son.
    Still love your videos.

I am Korean, but live in Queensland Australia where it is not too cold even in winter. I do miss Korea for many reasons, but I DO NOT miss the cold winter weather in Korea. But in some ways, winter in Sydney was worse, because it was colder inside the house than the outside in winter. My whole body got so tensed from the cold environment.

I absolutely agree, Sydney winter is awful! So cold inside.

I don't look forward to having to bundle up so much, before going outside. No more just putting shoes on and out the door for a few months. Long johns, snow pants, coat, hat, mittens, boots. Sometimes I layer under my coat instead of long johns.

You can tell you are in a different tax bracket! Summer clothes inside?!? 13th year living in Korea. We can only afford the ondol on v v low. And only in one room. We are like the family in Australia. All huddled in one room fully clothed. My husband sleeps in a coat.
In summer we can run the air con, and it makes no dent in our bill. But using gas, we cannot afford those high bills. Unfortunately more and more people in Korea are living like this these days
