Full coverage of the first round of the men's 400m event from the Olympic Stadium at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Since 1896, athletics has been on the programme of each edition of the Games of the Olympiad. Its presence on the Games programme has allowed its popularity to increase across the world. This popularity was also strengthened by the creation of the IAAF in 1912. Women's events appeared for the first time at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam, while the men's programme was standardised as of the 1932 Games in Los Angeles. Although at the beginning women were authorised to participate in only some events, today their programme is almost identical to that of the men.

Thank you for posting this!
lucky pistorius dosent have to deal with shin splints
And if you cant have shin splints you can choose prison time instead
LaShawn Merritt was the number one qualifier at the 2012 Olympic Trials. Two weeks before the track and field events at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Merritt tweaked his hamstring in the Herculis meet in Monaco. As a result of this injury he pulled up in a qualifying heat of the 400m at the London Olympics and did not finish.

The blade runner, Oscar Pistorius, and his crew chief, John Smith drew lane 6.

He 360 no scoped his wife - rip in piece
Is 79 seconds a good time? That was my first time for the 400m. I am 6'3 160lbs, pretty fit, but I have never ran before lol./
Thats alright for a first run tbf, 400m is one of the hardest events bcus it’s a sprint all out the whole way, develop your speed and fitness more and your time will drop massively bro 💪🏼
It's alright for a 12 year old.

Isn't Pistorious the one who murdered his girlfriend?
Not at the time of the race!
Sagrika Chahal oh
Why does everybody remember this terrible thing? Look, I've seen mr Pistorius run the 400 meters at the Paralympic Games in London with a Paralympic Games record on TV! He's the one who motivated me to start chasing my Paralympic dream and I won't stop until I get there!
Indrit Gjonku I think it’s because even though it happened back in 2013 murdering someone is very serious especially if it’s your girlfriend. Nobody would have forgotten something like that.
Also what disability classification are you?
I have spastic diplegia and I am into wheelchair fencing, category B sabre! Mr Pistorius is the one who made me think about my disability and made me say: "If he can do these things, then so can I".
Is this the Paralympic or olympics ? Cause why is Oscar p here ?
He took a part in normal olympics
He qualified for the “regular” Olympics once prior but wasn’t allowed to partake due to his prostethics being considered to give him an advantage. He fought that , qualified again, and this was the first time he was allowed to partake. I’m pretty sure he was the first amputee sprinter to participate in the “regular” Olympics. To bad that he ended up murdering his wife.
