How much do you think you spent?😪. Ps I forgot to include bill which were £600 a year for year 2&3 so add £1.2k onto the total🤯🤯🤯
I bought like 6 textbooks for like £200 and didn’t even look at them
😂😂😂😂
Dude, the cost for Education in some countries is just really inflated. I just calculated the cost for my bachelors degree based on your calculation. I am also studying economics like you (although without the finance stuff, i specialized in statistics and econometrics instead) and i'll finish (hopefully) this summer after 3 years time. I'm studying at a popular german university and my calculated costs for those 3 years accumulate to roughly 12,290 Euros, which is about 11,000 pounds.
Three years of uni set me back £48,500. It’s mad
Love love love these types of informative videos!!!!
A limb on the black market isn’t actually worth that much because there’s a lot of limbs from dead bodies being sold there
This acc makes a lot of sense. Thank you😂😂
Did you get a economic degree or a video production degree. Sick video
tom111 ayyy my g thank you so much👌
Mad one I live at home so saved alot and got a job at Aldi. I invested my maintenance loan in a lifetime ISA and making a fair income. Total expenditure for three years probably comes to around 33/35k thanks for the videos love the vlogs
That’s actually a really good idea tbh
Joe Parikh where and what did you study?
@@zetch972 university of Liverpool studying accounting and finance mate
57k for a four year degree + tuition + all summers and all expenses. i set up a spreadsheet to work it all out at the start of my first year (lived in halls 3 years and at home 1 year + between 5/6K rend for halls and £15 a week food. the rest was probs alcohol)
Hahahah yeh that’s not to bad bro
July 2022. Living costs have rocketed since this vid was made in May 2020. If you study a degree plus a masters and also factored in wages what you could have earned working full time during those 4 years to compare it against somebody who didn't go to Uni you would be £200k worse off. So it would take around another 5 years to recoup that and then you would be starting at £0 whilst your comparative would have earned say another £175 gross during those 5 years. Depending on your career it could potentially take 12 years after your degree to gain the advantage and that is startling!
Just finished my BSc Geography. Because I’m from NI, the tuition fees at only £4K so in total I only have about 16k debt for the same length of degree. Going to Oxford guy postgrad tho, so that’s about to double.
Education is worth it though. It’s not even classed as a debt!
I'm just blessed I get YT ad revenue to help with uni costs
Wait, you actually posted the megalovania music? Wow
@@Sammm30 yeah lol
hi mate this is very useful to know well i havent been to university yet i am just starting to studying in college and then maybe university aswell this is very gd to watch thanks for the other vids for tips aswell
Thank you for the support Daniel bro
Imagine being an international student🥴🥴.. Anyway, please don’t cut that hair😂
Iknowwwwww and I won’t hahahaha
I'd say I'll spent .. under 40k over three years. Don't drink or party so save a lot of money on alcohol. Main expenditure is accommodation, food and train tickets back home..
Yeh you probably saved a lot then!
Of course you vastly underestimated it, did you never spend any money on your phone? Never money on miscellaneous goods, e.g. from amazon? What about transport? Bed linen? CLOTHES? Why even estimate anyway, why not crack open a bank statement?
I'm so glad I don't drink. All that money on alcohol to me is no thanks.
Yeh you save so much money!
You must be great fun
Serina T How is £100 a lot
@@spencerlancaster357 you don't have to drink alcohol to be fun lmao
I don’t even want to look at how much I spent in the first year 😂 onto the 2nd year
Loool I feel that
I wish the replacement year thing was still available. I dont want to spend another year at uni just to study abroad. 😥
You back again brooooo
My g Roy!!
Hey, I am a student of Economics from Thailand.
Heya from Malaysia here! Looking forward to ask from a neighbour 🙏🏻
if ive got 6years of med school🥴🥴😭
Leah Rebecca wowowowow. Long term it’ll be worth it tho!!
Student Vlogs - Dylan yess🙏🏿😭
Thanks for the video, I am going this year and I wasn't sure how much I would have to spend
I think what this video really showed me is just how expensive uni is over here in the States. I'm about to drop 74,000 for one year over here 🤯🤯Respect to you, though, for being somewhat frugal honestly; I know a lot of kids go buckwild on going out in the UK, but you restrained yourself. Love the vids btw!
Wowwww and hahahahaha thank you!
Wait so if you spent £17k in first yr, does student finance cover all of that
Yeh :)
The 9250 he never actually spent on tuition as it is paid directly from the gov to the uni. Maintance for 2020 is Up to £12,010 so more than covers living if your not wasting money buying books new or out every night.
@@stephenc6110 only if you live in london everyone else has a max of £9,203
Depends how much your parents earn, mine comes no way near to covering it 🤣
First year I prop spent around 21k+ when u go out like 4/5 times a week and spend £20 each night gets expensive 😂😂
Looool yes defo agree
The money you spent on nights out is mad, especially the club drinks. It's probably cos you were drinking VKs. They've got no alcohol in them. Glad you were honest though I could never reveal them figures.
😂😂😂😂😂the figures are too high
I went uni twice and both times I dropped out during the first 6 months so I end up with like £27k included accommodation cost etc so not worth it but Im doing a Degree Apprenticeship now and it's been over a year now, have my part time degree paid for by the company and I have had a payrise of a good amount so it's way better for career prospects 👏 but I guess I don't regret first year uni which was great
Worked out good In the end then
May I ask what your degree apprentiship was in? I'm still first year but I may regret doing this degree
that's fine if you get the full loan
Lottie Martin true!! Do you not think the system is fair then?
That awkward moment when you realise that interest rate of 5.4% has pushed it to £70000 in three years and by 10 years it'll be at £150000.
wowwwwww
Got my master of finance for free.
When 18,110 is still less than room and board at my uni 😭😭😭. Thank god for scholarships
Wowwww what uni you at! Oxbridge?
@@lifewithdylan oh hell no. I'm in the u.s. But I go to one of the cheaper school. Still 22k full price
Which university you're in
I hope you get useful knowledge, so that it supports your successful future, thanks to the knowledge you gain, you will become equipped to face challenges in the future. Good luck, friend
In 2nd and 3rd year when he lived for himself and payed rent, would bills be included in that too or not?
Damnnn, £51 million.
😳🤣😂😂😂😂
yoooo you said 51 k but put 51 million???????????????????
Did you get a maintenaince loan or did you not get one? In which case if you got the maximum maintenaince loan, as well as tuition fees, each student would be in 18k of debt - 54K at the end of the 3 years.
I put half of my maintenance loans into savings, so around 13k off of 54k, leaving me with £41,000 worth of debt
Kai Johnson yeh bro! First 2 years I did have max. And yeh your calculations are right
Fuck its looking deep for my life I only get 4250 for the maintenance loan accommodation already is 6500 and my parents aren't minted so its deep
Yeh I feel that g :(
I'm in the same position, was trying to find ways to make it work. Just found this video and I'm like uhhh I guess it's not possible lol
@@bananabrain2996 what did you end up doing? Was you not able to get the full £9000 loan?
@@annceiq Hasn't come to it yet, I'm taking my exams next yeat but yeah I won't be able to get the full loan
@@annceiq I'll either have to try and find a cash in hand job part time or I won't be able to go
Which uni did you go to?
What do u do after uni tho? I’m baffled about that
Soon to be revealed bro
don't mean to piss people off but uni where I live is free and housing for uni students is also basically free, 2 euro for meals at the cafeteria as many times as u want. and the government actually pays us couple hundred a month for being students. standard socialism flex:-)
Wow that is so lucky! Where you from bro
Student Vlogs - Dylan Finland haha pretty sure sweden and norway have the same
That’s great tbh
And nobody is going to help you pay it off.
Least covids saving me money 😂🙄
Hi mate do you any good alternatives to University
Drugs
Looooooooooooooool alternative bro maybe an apprenticeship
wat do u mean cost u mate, u mean cost ur parents
my own debt bro
jheeeeeez
Leah Rebecca 🤯🤯
Sup Dylan a kidney is usually £10k depending on the health and age u know smoker and old folks less wongo. Your looking at 3 kidneys to cover tuition fee.
Now the next big thing is a liver. Man these can sell high £25k but I'm guessing much less for u as a student alcohol and shit food🥑.
Meh £8K I would say
Your best bet is your heart 30-70k probably won't cover the full debt of being a student but definitely worth a go mate 👍 .
Let me know how it goes if you sell your heart.
i am an international student so i am paying 23k a year only on tuition lol
whaaat, isn’t it only £15,000 v
heyy, im from Peru and i want to study economics in UK
but my parents can only pay 18 000 euros at maximmum
which university do you suggest me
Did you have a part time job ?
