- An adventure vlog!!! YAY! Join me in this week's video as we explore the South Island of New Zealand. We take adventure to a whole new level with a BUNCH of different hikes, a boat ride to see dolphins, canyoning, and a helicopter glacier adventure. SO excited to share this first vlog since the PCT. Wow, this is now a bucket-list trip for me. Looks like everyone had a blast. I was grinning ear to ear during most of this video, just watching how fun it looked. Another great adventure!

So have you ever thought of hiking Te Araroa since you are in love with NZ...? Quite a lot go straight from the PCT to TA as the timings for the trail work with each other well being in different hemispheres.
If you have thought of it and are undecided then definitely do it, it is still relatively new in terms of trails and is always changing as permissions keep being granted by land owners.
I hiked Te Araroa in 2017/2018 after I missed my pass for the PCT, the annoyance of missing out on the PCT was quickly dimished by thru hiking NZ..! It is definitely in my top hikes....

Did a circumnavigation of South Island on a motorcycle. Memorable places Queenstown rode to far end of lake ate super at the bank in a vault. Invercargill with ride on beach and The Worlds Fastest Indian museum. The wineries up by Nelson. Franz Josef remind me of Switzerland. Dunedin wish I had gone to college there. Christchurch with its River district. Loved everyday as we were on the coast and a few hours later in the mountains. Not a place for a novice rider however. If it wasn’t such a tortuous plane trip I’d go back. Hope all is well with you and Sam. Did you catch Nan and Corey there.
