    Do you know why the wasserstein solar panel does not charge a Bluetooth speaker when you connect it? The red light on the speaker does not go on showing that it's being charged

      @TeachMe101  Рік тому

      Humm... It doesn't have the correct power requirements. Check the amp output on the solar panel and the input requirements on the speaker. The solar panel may not be releasing enough power.

    Greetings
    I am very happy I find this video because I have to be buying so much battery. Question just wondering if by chance if they have a solar panel that supply more than on cameras. I have 8 on my property so that's a lot of battery to keep purchasing

    • @TeachMe101
      @TeachMe101  Рік тому

      Hi Cedrick! That's a great question. Most solar panels of this sort, are sold as individual units. But you can buy a 2 or 3 pack on Amazon. A solar unit that would supply enough power for multiple camera would cost significantly more cash.
      Thanks for the great question!
      Be safe.

    High quality video, informative. Three questions. 1. Does the mount feel sturdy to stand up to wind? 2. Some plastics get very brittle out in the sun. Is the bracket/solar panel UV protected? We just got a whole Blink system, three reg cameras and one doorbell camera. We live on a busy street close to a school so the doorbell camera takes a lot of video draining batteries. 3. Will the solar panel work with the doorbell camera?

      Hi Mike. Great question!
      Answers:
      1. The mount is sturdy. But just make sure you use long screws when mounting it.
      2. I'm not sure about the UV protection. I've had mine for a couple of years in the sun with no issues.
      3. The solar panel may work but I don't think it would be your best option. I would use direct power.

    Question:
    Does solar panel energy help the caneras connect to Live View quicker? Currently it takes 8-10 seconds which is useless.

    • @TeachMe101
      @TeachMe101  Рік тому +1

      Hi Robert! Once again you've got a great point. But unfortunately the solar panels will have little effect on Live streaming. However 8-10 seconds is alot faster than many others I've heard about. Blink is slow. 😏
      Wired camera systems are best for high speed connections.
      Stay safe out there. 👍

    Do you know of any hacks or an adapter that would allow one to use a solar panal with the Blink Video Doorbell?

    • @TeachMe101
      @TeachMe101  2 роки тому

      Great question! I don't think the solar panel would work. The batteries wouldn't supply enough power. Sorry. But... It appears this product can be powered by either batteries or existing chime wiring: 16-24 VAC. Using the old door bell wiring maybe the best way. If that is not an option, then take a look at this link on Amazon:

    Is there a way to connect 2 cameras?

    • @TeachMe101
      @TeachMe101  2 роки тому

      Hi Casey! That's a great question. But unfortunately the battery life on the solar panel will only power one camera at a time. It just doesn't have enough power to support 2 cameras at the same time. Buying more than one panel would be best.
      Thanks again for the question. 👏👏👍

    FLAW: The internal battery is not replaceable making this solar panel a disposable item because its lifespan is determined by the life of the internal battery. In other words, once the internal rechargeable battery dies, maybe a year or two, you'll have to throw away the panel and buy a new one or go back to changing the camera batteries every 6 months or so.

    • @TeachMe101
      @TeachMe101  2 роки тому +4

      Hi Frank! Thanks for the comment!
      You make an excellent point. I guess it all comes down to changing the batteries every 6 months or possibility 2 to 5 years (depending on use). Granted, if the camera is in a high traffic area, it will require more power. However, in a low to moderate use area, you should be worry free for years to come. I just don't know how many years.
      And you are soooo correct! This is not a perfect solution - by far. However, it should keep us from climbing the latter for a while. :-)
      Thanks again for the wonderful comment!

      @@stabbyronnie UPDATE: My battery died after 10 months of use. I researched this and some geeks say that the rare battery (INR18650 2500mAh 3.7) can be replaced but it requires some experience. The battery, however, costs just as much or more than a whole new solar panel.
