ISO 31000 What is Risk Management?

Having a clear understanding in your own mind what risk management is, should not be overlooked.
If you asked 20 H&S, Security, Quality, or Environmental manager / practitioners, I very much doubt you would get consistent answers.
You would very often get the default 'likelihood x severity' and 'mitigations' response, but in my experience, rarely would someone refer to 'coordinated activities' or mention 'opportunities'.
Being able to articulate a cohesive and repeatable response to this question, is for me, what starts the initial separation of whether someone truly understands the context of risk management.

Risk management: 'Coordinated activities to direct and control an organisation with regard to risk'
