Our first-ever location in Scotland! And our first location immediately was one to remember. We never thought we would ever encounter an abandoned Sea World were once people came for entertainment and joy. But as you can tell during the video the only thing that is left were the last remains of this recreational place. Hope you will enjoy the video.

We are sorry the video is slightly later than expected! Despite that, we hope it was worth the waiting and you will all enjoy it.
Stay safe and lots of love from us. Maureno & Remon :-)
Explomo you guys are always worth the wait.
Explomo always the best chanel for me
Thanks so much Angela! :-)
That’s amazing to hear Bokak! Thank you :D
@@Explomo welcome guys
We have never had a SeaWorld here in the UK. The place your exploring was a SeaLife. VERY different company. Animals aren't trained for entertainment at SeaLife
Tomboy Natzz the evidence in the video would suggest otherwise... considering there was a pool with bleachers and a hoop.
@@neesan9962 can you give me the time stamp please
Tomboy Natzz 3:27 to 3:44. You must not have watched much.
Also 19:47 a wheel of fortune to play with the seals. For tricks.
@@neesan9962 okay fair do's, they trained sea lions 👍 I don't agree that they should have, but not every SeaLife in the country had that, I've been to a number of SeaLife that only have fish aquariums and rock pools. In fact, this is literally the ONLY seaLife I've seen that has this
SeaLife not Seaworld....do not confuse the 2! They are both very different companies
Fringey I was wondering why it looked so outdated!! I live down the street from the park in Orlando. I was so surprised. 🤣Thank you for clearing it up.
Does sea life have any other locations?
JustWowNick up and down the UK as well as abroad
@@JustWowNick There are several in Australia
Thank you because I was really confused for a minute
This was a Sea Life Sanctuary Not a Sea World Attraction. Please do not confuse the two. This sanctuary was taking care of injured and abandoned Seals and Otters and with the attempt to rehabilitate the animals that were rescued. None of the animals were made to preform tricks...like they do at Sea World, visitors could come an watch the Seals and Otters during feeding times.
Thank god! I was a little lost! Thats great, much better than sea world.
Pretty much everything they said in this video other than “abandoned aquarium “ was completely incorrect 😂
Scott King honestly though if you are doing a video on something atleast do research about it and put in an effort
Mildly concerned that they don’t know sharks aren’t all great whites. Or that they get so excited over seeing the top of fish tanks.
@@moonflower1219 exactly. First video of theirs I've watched and the last!
Scott King “in a part of the uk” im pretty sure Scotland isnt apart of the uk :/
edit i was thinking of Sweden XD
@@moonflower1219 →f our guides were not able to find anything on the Aquarium or listened to what misinformed people told them or were unable to find reliable information, should you really be so mean? Stop and think before you open your moth please. Give them some kudos for going there, do not see you going or doing research to help get the facts straight. Be kind not so critical unless you have been there yourself and know ALL the facts regarding the aquarium
I visited this place as a child in the 1980's then brought my own children regularly. It was great and I'm sad to see it has closed. Watching the otters and seals was amazing. There were some huge tanks with cod and manta rays. It was really great.
Great job guys! It's sad it had to close because of lack of funding🙁 Especially when it was a place to help rehabilitate the sea life😥 We need more of that on this earth..God's wonderful creatures 🥰
Hey Debby, this is a sad fact that it got closed because of this reason wish we all could still send some money to make it running again...
The fact the got the name wrong shows how little research they did.
There are 5 kinds of Jellyfish that are not harmful, you can swim among them even.
Amazing fact👏
#amazingfacts
I wanna do that
Woah thanks! Ive always been deathly afraid of them so its nice to know theres a few non threatening ones
@@ReyhaofMidgard the stings still feel a little bit an they are itchy so just wear a wetsuit and you should be good to swim with them and touch them (i’m referring to moon jelly’s)
What’s sad is that SO MUCH of this stuff could of been donated to rescues when they closed, tanks, the freezers, equipment but it’s all just been left to rot
Totally agree Melissa, it should have been donated way earlier when it was not in a decaying state yet. It's a shame but unfortunately becoming a part of the reality of this modern world we're living in.
A lot of the equipment that could be saved was given to other sea lifes
The “African themed exhibit” was definitely supposed to be Mayan themed
You guys dont know what the heck youre talking about lol. WOW LOOK AT THESE ARTIFACTS *picks up a cheap heater and calls it a filter*
I know exactly what I thought xxxx
No harm, no foul.
Chelsey Kihneman even if they didn’t know what a heater was there were lots of other things that were clearly wrong but could of been straightened out if they actually did any research on the place. Also the fact that he tried so hard to block out the name of the place he didn’t pay enough attention because it was everywhere
pleco652 as long as they don’t have a fish tank it’s okay 🤣
Chelsey Kihneman you managed to write a wall of text with almost no meaning or cohesion to it. im impressed
Looks like its been abandoned for way longer than a year.....that place looks so rundown i thought it looked like 10years abandoned eaily. I love when people go to abandoned places and walk around it brings me so much joy thanks guys👍👍
I visited this aquarium in 2018, it must have been shortly before it shut. I remember it being amazing, the sealions were looked after very well and the place was kept very clean! Shame it had to close!
The wasn’t ever sea lions here, it have been seals
not seaworld. Not even close, I grew up going to this place and eventually did work experience there in high school, Probably my main inspiration in choosing to study marine biology. Very sad to see the place like this, but it was looking rather tired on my last visit in 2016
“is that a shrimp?”
lmao no that is most definitely not
It’s a lobster
They were too busy holding hands to do any research.
I remember going there as a kid, and it's really weird, sad and nostalgic seeing it in this state.
Funny how people will pay a lot of money to those who mistreat animals, but won’t give a penny to those trying to actually help them.
👏
People are really greedy and will only give money if they get a show out of it
this is sea life not sea world. they only take in rescue mammels. they focus a lot on conservation
As a fish keeper I'd like to keep some of the random stuffs I'd see there XD
Same 😂😂
try and find out where this is and help yourself
Same i wanna sneak in and steal it
4:00 - It's a standard fish tank heater for a very small tank, probably a 20L hospital / quarantine tank for small and very small fish. - There is no way in a cold day in hell that would heat anything they have on display, serios, you would need about 200 of them all around the tank for even the smallest 1000L tank. - Hope this info helps, good video's too, keep up the good work. Respect from England.
Thank you so much for sharing this interesting information with us. Sounds like you have a lot of knowledge about this topic. All the best from the Netherlands and hope to see you at the next one again!
12:07 it's not an african style. this is south american mayan style. This probably didn't hold all sorts of species but rather species found in south america.
TheDeluche inca
Gracie Wass Inca is different. That was Mayan and Aztec. Pretty sure that “cave room” was representative of cenotes in Mexico and Central America.
Oh yeah yeah I think I was thinking of Aztec when I said Inca tbf 😂😂😂
Honestly how little attention to the history of this place of just simple history things like calling it “African style” made me stop watching this and def not going to watch any more of their videos
Late.. but I used to come here as a kid at 13:41 that cylinder tank had a massive Japanese spider crab in it. Didn’t know this place was closed and was actually planning on taking a visit with my partner back to here
Much respect for these people catching these seals and giving them a better life. “Shows picture of seal getting released”
I wish I could post pictures on here of our family trips to this place. I visited as a child and took my children there too many times. My grandmother loved close by and so it was a place often visited by us. You could watch the otters play, see the seals being fed, view huge cod swimming, and handle some creatures like star fish. Some weird looking sea life in there too! A magical place.
Me: Oh an aquarium heater.
Explomo: *Picks up the aquarium heater* This is a filter or uh something to measure.
SquishyBites was thinking the same lol
I think you will find this is 1 of many heaters on the market I use 3 of these for my fish tanks
I went here when I was younger it was a great place in its prime
That was a lobster lol...not a large shrimp!! So fun watching you guys!! Very interesting place.
This is one of the perks of sitting back and watching you guys; there's no smell-a-vision! Fish smell-Igitt!
That fish smell in the fridge is one of the worst smells we've ever experienced Sandy! And trust us, we have smelled a lot of filthy odors inside of fridges of abandoned homes.
Haha I could still smell it through the screen! 🤣
Very interesting. Its makes me wonder how many children were there & having such fond memories & just being in awe of the experience. I'm certain the fish, turtles, seals, & aquatic species are living healthy happy lives elsewhere. Thanks for the trip to Scotland men. It was undeniably interesting & entertaining. As always Stay encouraged my friends. Explore on. I ALWAYS hit like 👍🏻. You're beginning to be my fav channel.✌
Breaks my heart that places like this close, and that they have to close so fast.
I can remember coming hear when we where just in 1st year
@@thomasmcdougall8059 here*
this abandoned place are different than another place that you're explore before,this place is good to education children about sea,fish,turtle,shark,shrimp,etc all about sea world..but once again so sad that there are closed for so many reason,,ok good job explomo,succsess and be safe and enjoy life
Hey Amira, good to see which perspective you have on our video! People can learn a lot from this and especially children. Hope we will entertain and learn more to everyone in the future!
Stay safe
Hey guys-this was fantastic. Behind the scenes at an aquarium. I’ve been to a lot of aquariums but my favorite is One in Virginia Beach Virginia. They’re more of a science aquarium and don’t make the animals do tricks but you get to see them in almost a natural habitat. And they also have otters. Sharks guys, not just a tropical fish. Haven’t you ever watched Jaws
Anyway, go watch Jaws, the first one. As always you are worth the wait! Travel safely and watch out for coronavirus!
~~~Your Virginia Granny
Cool to see something from my country!
That was a huge place at one time. That was a lot fish to re home. Nice find
It truly was Jo. Thank you so much for watching again and glad you enjoyed it :-)
Was very busy! Always went as a child
A mega location wow. What was just left behind. Two thumbs up and congratulations for the first 40 k. On the next 40 k. All the best Marcus
Hey Marcus, thanks the location was amazing to explore! Wish you the best and hopefully we see each other in the future.
So excited for more Scotland!!!!! Thanks for your hard work guys.
Oh my!! This is our old local sea life center!!!!
Feels weird that I remember the time that it was open, the time where I saw them feeding the seals and a really weird looking stingray smiling at me.
Sorry but y’all need to go back to school! Until today I would have not guessed that someone couldn’t identify a lobster tail, clams, and crab shells!
Makes me sad to see so many tanks abandoned! Would kill for the massive cylinder tank!
3:48 sea lion and sea turtle? Dead ones or what?? You did not make it clear
Very interesting explore and how the fish and sealife were looked after, thank you :)
Thank you so much Wendy! We truly enjoyed exploring this place - it was something completely different compared with the places we normally visit!
Impressive location but the route through the forest to get there and the surroundings are fairytale! Congratulations and as many explorations as possible! Remon and Maureno success strength and inspiration !! 🤗
What a great outro shot. I can still smell the seal poo on maureno after he slipped 😂
ZIP IT 😂😂😂
Damm i visited here years ago, i never knew it closed. So sad..:(..shared
@tom jagger err can't remember actually, it may tell you in the video, i visited about 8 years ago
Watching Die Antwoord stomp around “Sea World” is honestly amazing.
👍👍😂😂i fink you finky, lol
The "Mull Aquarium" tags you were finding, I think, simply showed who the creatures in those tanks went to. After a quick search for more information I found that they were a catch and release aquarium that permanently closed to move to a new location which is supposed to open in 2025. You will likely not find the original creatures from this place there once it opens, but you would at least be able to see who these creatures went to I believe.
(I am not 100% certain that they attained the sea life from here, but I believe that is what the tags indicate.)
Aight alright. I'ma hate getting over this one today but def, got to see it.
You Both ALWAYs make me LAUGH !!! So CUTE !!!
Hi guys! This was a really different place compared to where you go. Strange that there is still electricity. Hugs young friends!
Thank you so much Celso! Might not be the most interesting place for you to see as a professor in architecture, but is was definitely a completely different place compared with places we normally visit, and that made it very special for us. Take a lot of care and hope your students can learn something from our videos! :-)
So sad and so fascinating at the same time.
Great fine guys. I am so glad you didn't encounter any dead animals. Muck love and always be Safe💙💙
Great find and video!
Don’t hate me, but I’m not sad that it closed down, I think fish (and animals) are better off in their natural environments - and if people really want to see them, there is lots of modern technology available to see things in the wild without harming them.
(...and I came home from a fairly long holiday once and I think my refrigerator smelt the same!)
I agree
I concur
Thank you so much! No hate at all, we completely understand your point of view.
Certainly not all, but some may have been saved & unable to be set back into their natural habitat. It is sad when this occurs. I hope they went somewhere they are being well cared for. One good thing to take from this is there are many children who would never had the chance to see such beautiful creatures on our planet, and learn from them as well as to respect them. Absolutely best place is the freedom of the ocean & seas of course. I was lucky enough to have a father who took us to the ocean many times, as I then took mine, who are now taking theirs, & yes, to see dolphins, shark, starfish, the mana rays, etc. was just beautiful & so exciting everytime. Peace & love to all. Let's keep exploring with Explomo. Very respectful men & I appreciate them for that and sharing their excursions. ✌💗😄to all.
Thats a silly thing to say as this is also for education purposes. If everyone thought like that we would not know what creatures are dangerous and no anti venoms etc.
The list is endless
I’ve never been here, but this is crazy to me. Just looking at everything I can almost see what it once was.
the fact that they didnt care about anything other than views and clout to the point of not bothering to learn the actual name of the place is somehow both shocking and completely expected, as is the fact that they put the name sea life in the thumbnail but not in the title so when people search for seaworld it still comes up
this brings back my childhood here, its kind of sad actually
BUT how cool that silver care was for loading that shark in GAH this is like German Ruins time frame CAN YOU UMAGINE HOW BEAST.!.!!!!
I was thinking it closed due to public opinion of how the creatures are treated. Here in the U.S. public outcry has caused the Sea World to stop taking Orcas from the wild.
I love that you have two videos a week now, great job guys!
Except, Sea World has not taken Orca from the wild since the 1960s at the latest. Stop spewing PETA propaganda, it simply isn't true. PETA is made up of uneducated Marxist professional activists and aggitators.
No this was a sanctuary to rehabilitate the seals and re release into the wild, nothing like SeaWorld. This just had a lack of funding sadly
So I was wrong. They stopped breeding Orca.
This is not a SeaWorld though. They got the name wrong. This is a SeaLife. A completely different company. They don't train animals to perform
This place was a sanctuary, it mainly rescued and rehabilitated injured and abandoned seals and otters. Most of the information in this video is inaccurate. It was own by a company called Sea Life nothing to do with Sea World and nothing like Sea World. They did not make the animals preform tricks or were used to entertain visitors. Although visitors could come and view the animals...and they had time slots for people to come and watch the animals at feeding times.
Hi, thanks for uploading this explore, i have vivid memories of being here on a primary school trip, shame to see it abandoned. but still awsome to watch.
Really enjoyed your video. I can't believe they had that place running so long.
Thank you Kimberly, we neither! So glad you enjoyed our video. Hope to see you at the next one again! :-)
I'm just now seeing this video I thought I have seen all your videos
The jellyfish stickers I think are labels with the aquarium that the fish in the tanks went to when the place shut down rather than stating what's in there as they all said Mull aquarium
Hi guys I've only been watching you for the last few few days and it's so refreshing that you have respect for all the places that you go and also your not swearing like a lot of others that i used to watch, keep up the good work, the main farm was excellent.
The reason why i am watching this is i am making a spooky game that has a room where an abandoned aquarium is...looks like i need to do more then i expected
This is like the best place to set up a super hero hideout
Different but still good x
Thank you so much Jean. Exactly like you say, completely different from places we normally visit. But that made it such a great experience for us to explore this place and share it with you!
watching from❤ 🇵🇭 ❤
I never realized how i always watch things about the wildlife such as "surviving paradise" on netflix which is an animal documentary and yes ima just leave a like on this vid bc yes why not
Wouldn't mind going Scotland have some amazing places that way
I ran across a video on youtube with a abandoned restaurant that had a shark. When the restaurant was closed down, they all just left it to die in it's tank, today, it is still there, this massive dead shark, rotting. They didn't even bother to turn it loose back in the ocean. They left it to die.
Do you have link to the video?
@@GayBirdHere I did a up to date search on what happened, it turns out it was a taxidermy shark in a tank. UA-camrs didn't exactly say anything, it looks like it was left for dead. Story has it, after the video went viral someone had come to take the shark and restore it. I have never heard of such a thing, I suppose someone out there taxidermies sharks. When you see it, you assume it was left for dead, no back story, you assume the worst.
Sounds like Rosie the Shark. She was already dead when she was put on display. When the aquarium or marine park closed, Rosie was left in her deteriorating tank full of formaldehyde!
Omg I went there as a kid I was so sad when it closed.
Sad to see this abandonned…
Guys, put the union Jack away lol 😂
🌺 Aloha!! Guys, I enjoy your great place you found at the Sea world. Keep up the great work. 😍🌺🤙
I live in Scotland and I remember when I use to go to sea World
Would love to see this place bought and revived!
You're the best when it comes to exploring abandoned places❤️👍Love from Philippines🇵🇭
I'm so confused how they got so much, correction, EVERYTHING wrong. The only correct thing they said was "abandoned aquarium"
The larger aquariums, with the Aztec(?) ruins decor, probably held turtles. The tank with all of the shells, held a lobster, not a huge shrimp....but it was a cool explore! :)
That place can be turned into a marine life sanctuary and rehabilitation center for various types of sea life and could even allow tours to the public...
Eh it was and had to close cause of funding.
We used to live just up the way in Dunfermline and used to take our son there every weekend to visit. We all loved it and I'm shocked and saddened to hear it's been shut down. It was an amazing place... 🙁
Btw I'm not sure if anyone has said, but it was called Deep Sea World, and was also a sanctuary for animals and sealife. Such a shame it's gone bc we were going to take our little daughter there at some point for a visit.
Hope you enjoyed your Scotland trip. Great find. Love from Northumberland just south of the Scottish border ❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋
Berwick-upon-tweed?
Very nice amazing video
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😍😍😍😍
Thank you so much Parri! Glad you've enjoyed it and hope to see you at the next one again :D
Great video and worth the wait!
I miss this place when I was a kid
it’s called sea life in the uk btw
I used to go here as a child and my was always a great visit, so sad its closed
I really don't understand why modern society would just abandon these places without any thought. There's so many things left there that can be recycled, reused, repurposed for other uses.
The best youtubers for going to abandoned places will be (the Proper People) please Iook them up
Shut the fuck up
Very interesting thank you.xxx😁
You are so welcome Shirley! Glad you've enjoyed it :-)
I've been to Seaworld in florida. Sad to this this one went out of buisness. Sorry guys I had to laugh when you open the refrigerator lol. Nice video 🙂 Can't wait to see what's next. Take care 💖💖💖💖
Just to let you know, this isn't a SeaWorld. It's a SeaLife which is a very different company 👍 the guys got the name wrong
Shame SeaWorld still in business. Orcas travel 100s of miles a day in the wild. Check out Taiji...ripping young dolphins from their mothers and selling them to SeaWorld. I’d never take my children to these places.
#Blackfish
#emptythetanks
Seaworld in the US does not have any locations in other countries. Sea World (2 separate words), possibly but not the same company.
very interesting place
Thank you Elmin! :)
I hate it when you open refrigerators I’m always eating a snack when I watch your videos and you make me gag, lol 😂 that sure is a creepy place to explore, I wouldn’t want to go there even if it was open still
Well we're sorry XD might consider for the future to wait with your snack if you start watching a video from us. Because there's a lot of dirty fridges in these places, but this one was on the top list. The smell of abandoned fish was truly irresistible.
I could smell it through the screen! 🤣
Me too🤣
Hi guys, what a cool find. A real shame it had to shut down as it's a great way to educate children about different types of sea life. Thank you for sharing. x
As always you are so welcome Sue. We want to thank you for all your support!!! It truly is a shame and must’ve been a great place to go back in the days when it was still open and running :(
@@Explomo you both put a lot of work into the channel and show great respect for other people's property, that is what sets you apart from other channels, plus you both are great in front of a camera, it's not you just showing us somewhere, you bring the place to life. ❤❤xx
I like the video very cool 😀
Nice explore guys ❤️❤️❤️ your explores!
I have been there once before when i was little it’s creepy to see it abandoned. I could be wrong though since i was 7 or 8 when i went there but I’m Pretty sure that that was the place.
Yeh we went hear back in school years I'm sure 1998-2000
The Mesoamerican styled exhibit was likely full of air; it was most likely for amphibious creatures.
14:38 Lobster.
That was great,guys...was interesting to see the tanks...Wonder why they closed down...Did they get shut because of government or some other reason....
Thanks so much Marilyn for your support like always! They closed down due too financial issues, they did not have sufficient customers anymore to keep it affordable for the place to keep active and running.
Hey guys! I really enjoyed this video. How awesome was it to get in there and explore?
Hi there Renee, we are happy you enjoyed our explore! It was truly fascinating to explore this place, as it was completely different from the places we normally visit.
Can someone help me out here? I thought this was the sea life centre at north queensferry in Edinburgh but I don’t think it is and I’m struggling to remember where this one is? Help?
It' was the centre near Oban.
Pleasant distraction. Thank you.
