I cant forget how I was leveling my mage, swimming around, killing murlocs. I was running away from the mob and ended up on this Isle when I was finally out of combat. I turned around with intent to explore this little place when THIS music, THIS pure piece of art, starts playing. Eversince, even when I was at max level, I just had to come by and just sit there in silence, enjoying the haunting otherwise heart warming tunes of this isle...pure magic. Lovely experience. I felt like I was the only person around, experiencing something so extraordinary without anyone to share...It was my safe space I guess. Its funny to look back then, just sitting there or slowly pacing with the high end gear, not caring about raids or pvp...just rushing back to this place and feel the ,,home, sweet home" vibes.
I was playing on my Belf Paladin the day the prepatch came out, got to this island and felt an insane wave of nostalgia. Two of my favorite zones are Suramar and Aszuna and I recognized this tune instantly. Had no clue it had its origins all the way at this obscure island from TBC all those years ago.
As a blood elf I never felt so bad of slaughtering alliance npc. Since i heard this song for the very first time i can not complete the quest wich involves killing the night elves of this island.
Sounds like one of the Suramar Soundtracks. Crazy that one random island in a low level zone had a unique soundtrack that was reused/updated 10 years later for a new zone.
@@joelswatten9611 I know the druid area plays full orchestra versions of the originally digital Teldrasil/Ashenvale music, but I feel like somehow the originals still hold a weird magic, despite being just programmed work and not performed.
While ago I was so angry for some stuff stuff that happened and I was listening wow ost also but when I heard this song...I just became so relax inside me =/ Its amazing how music can change my feelings =/ and this one...was for me something magic.. Sadly but so much peaceful....I love those elves..amazing
Recently heard this while questing. Actually hadn't heard this properly before but it's a very nice touch to the Night Elf island, and sort of saddening in a way if you're slaughtering the Night Elves.

This song is the only reason I could stay hours and hours on my garrison ♥
I kinda go here everyday just to listen to the music...Its so beautiful. Everyone of my friends ask why I go here. I tell them go to the Isle and disable everything except game music, and you'll see why...They fell in love with it just as I did.
This music also plays in the temple of the moon in Darnassus. It's also, by leaps and bounds, the most haunting and spine-tingly track in the whole soundtrack.
"Its just a small island that players will spend probably 15mins on during levelling, don't go to hard on this one" "Aight" *Creates iconic theme for a fan favourite race*
Crazy.. though there are no lyrics, this reminds me so much of The Lament of the Highborne in its story-telling, this sounds exactly like something that would be played around a night elven campfire.
@AwFiles Sadness is a relative thing. This piece reflects the conflict between the elves and how there is no going back to the way things were before the Sin'Dorei left/were banished.
i know they were spying, but as you can see, I'm a night elf sympathizer and USUALLY whenever druids are around, they're there to heal. Nagrand, Felwood, and Plaguelands come into mind.
it's funny because the only time you heard this music was while you were killing the night elves who, in my opinion, were trying to heal the land. Anywho, they now expanded this music to several other places
Hey there, I recently made a lore video on my channel about the Ghostlands and featured your comment in my lore theory! Thanks a lot for your insight, and my credit to you as the comment creator is both in the video and my description. :)
@PbatAndSlyForTheWin Aye, and this plays on an island that has a Night Elf(or Keldorei) scouting party on it that you visit during a quest in the Ghostlands as a Blood Elf. at or around level 14.
@solol What? No. Maeiv was helping kael'thas as well as Tyrande. But that is all. Also, Kael left the Alliance entirely because the Alliance didn't help them when Arthas destroyed Quel'Thalas but, the High Elves helped them retake Stormwind. So they left the Alliance. Kael became king and called everyone blood elves. He leaves with burning legion and promises many things to his people. They Blood Elves join the Horde and go through the portal to find Kaelthas has gone crazy with Fel Energy.
Are your serious? Why should the Night Elves, who hate Blood Elves, try to help them and heal their land? All the quests in the Ghostlands and Eversong Woods tell you that the Night Elves want to spy out the Blood Elves with the help of a dwarf and genereally cause the Blood Elves harm.
@TheDenisMonster dunno why you said "No." Are you not agreeing with me? Because most of your reply is just fleshing out details and confirming what I said 1 year ago.
The nightelves helped kaelthas through the plaguelands and they sort of had a good alliance going. and yes, they were spying on the bloodelves, but that's because bloodelves started tampering with demon magic and allying with the horde.
Elves have been arrogant ever since Tolkien reinvented them. Night Elves used to be much more conceited before the Sundering, what with the Highborne. Although with the continuation of the Warcraft story such as WoW, they're much more open than before. Obviously there are a couple Night Elves that harbor the stereotypical ignorance (Staghelm), but they are in the minority.
Lol all companies are greedy that's what makes them successful. As far as blizzard goes their games have provided priceless entertainment for me and I've met people and created wonderful relationships from them so I am thankful.
Of course but Blizzard is greedy to a greater degree, that's what I'm trying to say. Every company is greedy obviously but Blizzard sold out and blatantly disrespected their fanbase to the point they lost the majority of them and started to pander to an entirely different audience. Change is fine but Blizzard is a sell out hoe. Early Blizzard was great but it was obvious at which point the company (including the staff) changed.
Whenever they established their partnership with Activision, some time in the 2nd half of Burning Crusade. An example of this change is whenever they turned the Arena into an "Esport" in spite of balance being all over the place and revolving around PvE. From that point on it was kinda downhill. It was tolerable up to Wrath but after that it wasn't even Wow anymore.

This has played in Darnassus in temple of the moon as well since BC
@@katm8128 Really? That’s pretty cool, I never played Nelf :( Now I wish I did so I could hear this song more
Always have tears when listen to this song. When play WoW sometimes just meditate on this isle about 30 min. Very sweet and peaceful song
As a blood elf I never felt so bad of slaughtering alliance npc. Since i heard this song for the very first time i can not complete the quest wich involves killing the night elves of this island.
It's like a sad lullaby, almost.

such beautiful music for such tiny meaningless island
It also played in Darnassus in Tyrande's room

thank you so much for adding this....
this is my favorite place in all of WoW i go there all the time only to listen to this.
I too go to this isle, to listen and meditate, when play
This song feels so different from all the other soundtracks in the game. Gorgeous, never have stopped listening to this to calm down

I can imagine this music playing right after the sundering.
Good eye on the ship's design. It does look similar to the nightelf fishing boats in WC3.
I believe they also used the music in the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus.
Music from 4:05 was used when you entered a Night Elven city. :)
the music gives the feeling as if everything went lost.
feels verry dramatic
Moon Rising OST in Legion is a remix of this beautiful theme
you mean temple of the moon remixed.
I totally forgot about that one ! Yes, indeed, you're right !
hnnnnng best bgm ever. so whimsical but sad
This reminds me somewhat of Zelda. :O

no, it was used in the temple of the moon i think in darnassus.
Isn't this just Whisperwind lullaby and that one track in Teldrassil and Ashenvale forest?
This is so very true. The first time I went to Shalandis Isle to kill those poor druids, I got completely lost in the music.
Pro-hordes like us would not know but I figured it was something like that, it dose have an alliance feel to it.
@solol What? No. Maeiv was helping kael'thas as well as Tyrande. But that is all. I go there as An alliance player tot just listen tot the music
Maybe there still is hope for us...Blizzard...Why did you let us down so many times!
Sadly this song was only used in Shalandis Isle in the Ghostlands, I wished they used it in more places.
Peacefull....
Nobody rememers this and this makes feel sad
I thought they added it so that it plays after the main theme in Elune's Temple, or wahtever it's called.
3:13-3:30
When i had quest to slay evryone on the isle,i have died twice beacose i have listened the music, not fighting the druids and other mobs. :)
@GreatSilverDragon Being an blood elf rogue, I could just simply kill all the mobs on that tiny island, and then listen to the music.
*I meant "Are you", not "your", sory... :)
hey, this music is not from TEMPLE OF THE MOON in darnasus? or what?
