Loosen the bass strings... i mean loosen them until they flutter then tighten them until they make a note then tune it as best you can... Suddenly Bang... It will sound proper.. But the strings need to be loose enough so they stumble just a little.. The bass here sounds clean because the strings are tight.. which is proper for other styles of music and is how it should be.. But punk is supposed to be... And i say this in a loving way .... sloppy... It's what gives it that free spirited bad ass sound

Como siempre: lo que se pueda, que somos muchos. Pero te aconsejo oírlos porque tienen algunos temas muy wapos y este, en particular, yo creo que mola mucho, mucho, mucho. Not very much... unless you like 5 strings and you get it for a low price. I don't like 5 strings, I don't use them and it's not very confortable for a novice like me. Anyway is a cheap bass, don't expect very much, it's just playable.
It's a good pack for a beginner (to play at home), cheap brands but fair price I guess (if hard case is in good condition, very good price, although bag will be enough). Anyway I recommend a 4th string bass, unless you have the illusion to play a 5th string bass, then go for a 5th string bass from the beginning, and you will hardly find a better offer. 5th is useful to rest the thumb if you play with fingers, if you play with pick is almost useless for a beginner and standard songs. If you don't matter the number of strings, try to find a entry level 4 string bass of a decent brand (yamaha, cort, ltd, Ibanez), with 22 or 24 freets, but it can cost 100-150$ (second hand), and 8" speaker amp 15-20w rms 50-60$ (second hand).
