It’s so sad how people can’t do the simple task of packing out their garbage. I was raised differently and over the year, so much publicly available land has been made private or illegal to be on because of stuff like this. Really just pathetic on what this country has come to
It isn't difficult to consider that in 1950 a grandfather took his son and grandson, 40 years later that son has a son and grandson and takes them in 1990. 34 years later that son takes the 7th generation for a boat ride I been to this island many times. It was pretty clean when I was there in the 90s
The island is sinking , and the shore is disapearing , compare the pics in ladt 10 years its gonna need a barrier wall and drainage for bathroom , and a water filtration system , but its all doable
Gotta love how the current own thinks a high rise could be developed there. Wasn’t it flooded like a year ago? No one will be building anything there. That’s why your building aren’t there anymore
Those early moments had to be awkward, going to a party place you and your family and friends have gone to for generation after generation, to have a homeless looking guy come wandering out of the mangroves say "hey if you want to party here it'll cost you $5"
It’s called that because all the trashy people go there with beer and leave the cans . So they don’t get dwi for boating while drunk . Clean the trash up and make sure drunks can’t go back . Then it might be worth owning a piece
@@DaDogDefender approximately, to actually fit 7 generations going to that place would mean each generation would have to have kids at 12 years of age, then again its florida
Why does she call it "infamous" at the end? There's nothing in the video that justifies calling it "infamous". I'll bet she uses inappropriate apostrophes, question marks at the ends of statements and doesn't know the difference between "there", "their", and "they're" Maybe they've changed the definition of "infamous" like so many other words have been conveniently changed to push ass- backward narratives.
We have a "Beer Can Island here in Miami. It's the island just inside Haulover Inlet. We been calling it Beer Can Island as far back as the 60's
I went there in 1812, it was great, we got wasted
Liar.
@@Bay510Area I’m not a liar, I’m just really old
Ok vampire
He's not lying, he went with James Madison.
Arggg me too with Ponce
I love how he was like i was just chilling there, then people come by we party, they leave, im all alone 😆
I'm pretty sure no great×4 grandparents went there if it's only been used since the 40's, maybe grandparents but that's it
My great grandma would have been in her 30s in the 1940s. I am in my mid 30s
Yeah see
Classic salesman pitch… You could tell literally one of the owners is the one who made that statement that was 90% fabricated!
7 generations? C'mon man
7 generations is 140 years, the island is only 80 years old.
That's my pontoon and wife on the blue mat at 1:32 lol
Lol
Rad bro 👋🏻😎👍🏻 looks like a fun place. 😊

Cool concept
7 generations. Is that possible?
No, 7 generations is 140 years, the island is only 80 years old.
I have been there! Miss living in Tampa!
Beer Can Island, Tampa Bat was my life for decades! ❤

Just trying to keep my house right now.😂
Why don’t you get roommates
If you boat breaks down, you're trapped.
So what’s the problem?
That's basically any small island 😂
The water around the island is shallow. Many people actually walk there instead of sail.
apparently have never heard of paddles?
It's not that far from the mainland the best place to experience a ship wreck vs your boat sinking.
Place has no bathroom
Love BCI! My usual weekend spot 🍻
Can't wait for how it's called in GTA VI😃😁

You can tell this guy did way to much drugs on his BCI 😂
Been once to McDill AFB when I was in the Air National Guard in late 1970's.

Personally I don’t think it was ever designed to last this long in the first place
It's dissolving, it's just made up of silt, no foundations, nothing. Next couple of storm surges will whittle it down even more.
i went there 935 B.C.
BEER CAN ISLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!
7 generations in 80 years makes sense :D Even an idiot can make better math
It sounded lit before they bought it
The anchor says that ppl have been going there since the 1950s. And this guys says 7 generations. I highly doubt that was a spot in 1874. Lmao.
its a community of drinkers of course its been 7 generations lol
man that looks fun af. Just get drunk everyday and party YEEE
Very smart ideal
The Chinese will buy it...being its so close to the air base 😮
They could have explained this in 2 mins
So for $1000 dollars can be the proud owner of a 1 Sq ft of an island you will never have any control over.
It was for sale a year ago, not that much time has passed 😂😂😭😭
Gotta love how the current own thinks a high rise could be developed there. Wasn’t it flooded like a year ago? No one will be building anything there. That’s why your building aren’t there anymore
Nice scam
That’s exactly what I thought. 😂😂
Democracy always ends in dictatorship and dilapidation. keep it a private ownership

I wish I was 6’7.😂😂
It was never a party island, and those of us who went their always cleaned up others mess. Not its not worth going To.
what about the "Toilets" where does that stuff goes 🙄
I would think a septic tank system.
Boats
Environmentalists 😢
He's single ☺️❤
He seems nice, cute, and fun, so he should be able to easily find a wife.
I guess what you should ask the owners before you invest is:
Should I invest in crypto, or should I buy into the island?
right now is the worst time to buy crypto. everything is at its peak

7 generations, so 1820

I somehow feel that spending thousands for something that will disappear in 10-20 years isn't worth it.
