there are 30 Negrito tribes throughout the Philippines and they're called different things depending on the region- Ati, Dumagat, Agta, Mamanwa, etc. They number over 400,000 total according to the census. And the majority of Filipinos have Negrito admixture according to the PNAS genetic study. So they're not a separate people. They are part of our heritage.
Also according to the study Philippine Ayta possess the highest level of Denisovan ancestry in the world Summary Multiple lines of evidence show that modern humans interbred with archaic Denisovans. Here, we report an account of shared demographic history between Australasians and Denisovans distinctively in Island Southeast Asia. Our analyses are based on ∼2.3 million genotypes from 118 ethnic groups of the Philippines, including 25 diverse self-identified Negrito populations, along with high-coverage genomes of Australopapuans and Ayta Magbukon Negritos. We show that Ayta Magbukon possess the highest level of Denisovan ancestry in the world-∼30%-40% greater than that of Australians and Papuans-consistent with an independent admixture event into Negritos from Denisovans. Together with the recently described Homo luzonensis, we suggest that there were multiple archaic species that inhabited the Philippines prior to the arrival of modern humans and that these archaic groups may have been genetically related. Altogether, our findings unveil a complex intertwined history of modern and archaic humans in the Asia-Pacific region, where distinct Islander Denisovan populations differentially admixed with incoming Australasians across multiple locations and at various points in time.

Haha you and Lola are funny and have a good vibes. Welcome to Philippines 🇵🇭. They're Indigenous people of the islands and being protected by the government like the Indigenous native American Indians. But there's a 100+ tribal groups all over our islands. In history they said there were already 5 million people in the islands when Magellan found us. With your vlog hope the politicians wake up and put electricity, build roads, bridges and yes toilets for schools and community. For private houses all they do is dig a hole in their backyards. God bless and have a happy, safety new year to you.
They may be black but they’re not African, “Australo-Melanesians” is probably the correct term for them unless I’m mistaken. Calling them Afro-Filipinos makes no sense given that they’re indigenous to that land and came to the islands before the austronesian peoples(the majority ethnic group of the Philippines). Imagine calling the Inuit peoples of Canada and other native Americans Asian-Canadian or Asian -Americans🤦🏾♂️and it might be even be worse cuz the Aeta have been there (🇵🇭)for longer than the Inuit in Canada and USA. Putting “black Filipinos” in the title might be more appropriate but then again idk.
@@DianahDaisy yes no problem, it’s all about learning more everyday. From my understanding it’s the difference between race and ethnicity. Racially we’re both consider“black” but ethnically were African whilst they’re Australo-Melanesian. Also if the populations like the Amazigh of Algeria are considered to be indigenous to Africa then that would mean that not all Africans are black, however since we are the majority racial group in Africa then it makes sense as to why these words are used interchangeably.
They are the native peoples of the Phillipines & Luzon before modern day Filipinos arrived. Aeta or Agta people are part of Austronesian people which include Melanesian people.
I have a lot of Filipino friends and they tell me that I look like the negritos who live in the mountains and usually only come into town on Saturday’s. Just curious if there is any interest in solar energy? I think that would help immensely.
They're not necessarily "Afro" (in the "Sub-Saharan African and those closely related to them" sense) They're actually most closely related to other Negrito/Melanesian/Papuan ethnic groups and Sub-Saharan Africans are actually one of the most genetically distant from these groups, in fact, a Chinese person would be more closely related to an Aeta than a Kenyan person The pinned comment also says this but there's arguments going on in the reply section so I'll clear things up 1. No, it's not "colonial education" genetic testing has proved that the 2 are very distinct groups 2. They look similar due to something called "convergent evolution" they stayed long enough in a certain environment where these features were best suitable to survive 3. To state these facts is not hatred towards Africa, different does not equal bad, we're all brothers and sisters of humanity, it's not forbidden to bond and love them just because they're different!
Please stop it. This is not convergent evolution. These people had those traits when they migrated from Africa. They are connected to some of the first people who migrated out of Africa to populate the rest of the Earth. The environment did not change their genetics much as those who migrated to colder climates.
@@DianahDaisy I am from America and have a tribe and language culture and it's not African. Do you know that many indigenous tribes got reclassified as negroes. It is only one landmass. Have a good one.
Their lifestyle is similar to many parts of some provinces where there is no electricity or running water for plumbing. Things get real when you leave any part of one of the major cities in the Philippines. My in-laws live in one of the provinces so coming from the West it's a culture shock.
They are genetically more related to the mainstream Filipino, Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese populations than Sub-Saharan Africans/ African-Americans.

That's Lola?isn't it?
First saw her when Dee Mwangu was building a house for her family..
She looks amazing and the house is beautiful..🌺

Woow okey this is interesting
We have skinwalkers too. We call them "aswang". In case you find that sort of thing interesting.
@@qcgarcia yes I love folklore!!!! I will be doing my research on that I seen that there is one that can detach half of its body and it eats babies I haven’t heard of one like that here. Thanks for sharing!!! My great grandmother told me of this creature that used to come around our area named the huckabuck it was half deer and half man or half deer half dog I forgot which one. But it would go around killing and eating everyone’s animals. And there was also a spirit of a man with a white shirt they say everytime someone says they seen em they pass days later and I’ve known this to be true myself with my grandmother friend miss Rita she moved into a house in my neighborhood that’s haunted I lived that lady man but she said she seen em an passed a day or two maybe three later then her sister died a day or two later. Then more ppl moved in and someone seen the spirit and this other lady died. My great grandmother also told me about the keyhole lady spirit that would come inside your house thru a keyhole so they would block keyholes off

Nice you all just learned about us. Why don't you ask Filipinos. We knew them and the blood and DNA that runs in every Filipinos is rooted from them the black Negritoes of the Philippines.
Just from watching the vedio you have all the respect and your people from me if to travel to phlepeen will love to visit you and your people thanks dear for the information
Please do! Dear you will enjoy
BUT YOU SHOW US MORE THAN DEE AND DAVY. YOU SHOW THEIR CULTURE THANK YOU.
🙏🙏
We are similar bcz we are one People my dear White asian want to extinct them but they still résist we african should support them because they are discrimated every where 😢😢😢@@DianahDaisy
Thank you for watching i really appreciate
Finally rora❤ i missed her
Aww
Amazing content Daisy! 🎉 Keep going 🙌🏾
Thank you! Will do!
This is what am I thinking about!, ty👏👏
I totally understand thanks for correction but we tend to think that every who is black is African
May not be Afro-Filipinos but they do have Afros 😂 🤷🏾♂️
I have a lot of Filipino friends and they tell me that I look like the negritos who live in the mountains and usually only come into town on Saturday’s. Just curious if there is any interest in solar energy? I think that would help immensely.
@Davy Junior come and see Lola😂❤❤
Indeed
Wow great contentvmy dear... So much love and respect to you my friend.
Thanks a ton
They're not necessarily "Afro" (in the "Sub-Saharan African and those closely related to them" sense)
They're actually most closely related to other Negrito/Melanesian/Papuan ethnic groups and Sub-Saharan Africans are actually one of the most genetically distant from these groups, in fact, a Chinese person would be more closely related to an Aeta than a Kenyan person
The pinned comment also says this but there's arguments going on in the reply section so I'll clear things up
1. No, it's not "colonial education" genetic testing has proved that the 2 are very distinct groups
2. They look similar due to something called "convergent evolution" they stayed long enough in a certain environment where these features were best suitable to survive
The environment did not change their genetics much as those who migrated to colder climates.
how much is required to build a toilet? i would love to help in any manner possible.
Not everyone with dark skin woolly hair is from Africa. That is colonial thinking.
Thats what we all know ..every one who is black is african
@@DianahDaisy black is an adjective.
@@DianahDaisy I am from America and have a tribe and language culture and it's not African. Do you know that many indigenous tribes got reclassified as negroes. It is only one landmass. Have a good one.
Civilization as we know began in Africa!
@pamelaatram4175 that's what the colonizers told you.
I was waiting for this visit , thank you sis for this amazing work ❤❤❤
Thank you so much
Omg they look like Manus province people of the north islands of Papua new Guinea
Are you serious..i wanna go there
@@DianahDaisyyou should most melanesians are similar physically to Africans even if they are not related to them it's all love ❤❤
Mostly dark skin people of pacific and south east asia negro look like a tribe in south Asia like India
They look alike aboriginal Australia
@@navajo6931 well yes that is because genetically speaking melanesians are related to aboriginals but not Africans
Their lifestyle is similar to many parts of some provinces where there is no electricity or running water for plumbing. Things get real when you leave any part of one of the major cities in the Philippines. My in-laws live in one of the provinces so coming from the West it's a culture shock.
These are the Israelites the bible speak of...
Just came across the video now. Keep up with that uplifting energy 👑☝🏾
Thank you! Dear I appreciate that
They are genetically more related to the mainstream Filipino, Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese populations than Sub-Saharan Africans/ African-Americans.
The Aetas came from Africa and migrated . When the bridge disappear after the Ice Age they stayed in the Philippines
nahh.. africans are big.. this aetas are came from Papua and original australian aborigins
@jamesleeborgonia222 nahhh the people from Papua and Australia aborigines came from Africa .
@@ReyvenBergado-tf2sc who told you that? 😂🤣🤣 your own formulation? 😂🤣.. do you know that there is a several race roaming around the earth right? if you didnt know about that.. go to school, educate your self... do not mislead people in your baseless info lol

Thank you so much dear one day i will visit Nigeria
10,000 to 15,000 yrs ago their ancestor travel from africa to philippines so they are really originated from africa im a filipino and we love our brother and sister aetas
Hello. Good video! Can you tell me what city you received your pass to visit the Aeta?
I think Zambales , Pampanga, Philippines.
There's one in Panay island too, Nagpana village. They're all over the islands. Check on Boracay island. They own it and them tourists and politicians exploited their island.
I hope good hearted individuals could help them build most needed facilities.
such a beautiful and peaceful people.
Yes
What do you think of Aetas ❤
I was thinking about loraher update thank you daisy
What's the reason for the gate pass?
Not Africans thats for sure.

Willing to help with bathroom. Love the natural hair
I watched Dee's videos while visiting there, and I thought that she built two or three community toilets and/or bathrooms while there. Am I wrong?
