You don't absolutely need a whammy pedal, but it really does help. I'm using a Digitech Whammy (it's red) in this video because I like its sound more than the whammy pedal built into my multi-effects. But yeah, the song is a lot easier to play and sounds more like Dragonforce if you use a whammy pedal
Tyreek Murillo I actually prefer the S series because the ZR Trem is incredibly stable and stays in tune even when going crazy, something that RG models can't do, although I haven't played any of the newer ones recently so I don't know if they fixed the issues, but the Edge trems are pretty bad. The main disadvantage to the ZR Trem though is that you can't do flutters.
I can cover them! watch my channel next week, i'll post the full cover w/ sam's parts for you, and watch halfduck's channel, he posted the solo cover, both harmonies, see ya
Sorry man I am also dissapointed =(. I was going to the airport the day after I recorded this video and would've been unable to practice for 3 weeks. I intended to learn all parts of the song, but I made this video because I knew I'd lose all progress I had made and wanted to at least put something out there, because I'd been working very hard on this song for a month straight. Also holy shit it's been almost 4 years. Looking back on this, it's not as hard as it looks, and these days I'm a lot better. But thank you for your comment. There's a youtube video where someone else is playing the whole solo, including the cleans and the ridiculous sweeps, he's really good, because both those things are super hard.
Don't listen to these guys. They just want to see someone else attempt the impossible. The guitarists in DF do nothing but play guitar. They've been playing since they were children and don't have outside lives. There's just no way to measure up to that. Their jobs are to play guitar and play well, so it's impossible to really expect to cover any song from a band that prides themselves on going as fast as possible on the guitar. You did good. Even the rhythm section is difficult to manage. xD Then again, this song is both A) completely out of my own style of play and B) exhausting to listen to.
That guy is not as good as you, you can see that he's actually muting the strings with a sock, dude deleted my criticism for pointing that out. Props to you, playing it as clean as you did without a crutch like that must have taken a while to learn.

4:20 and 5:15 are bass solos
Amazing but he mess up on the fast part, it was to slow but what a talent, awsome.
Thanks! Yeah some parts are too fast, especially the tapping, to be able to play cleanly but I tried my best!
How long did it take you to learn this song?
amazing!!! I already I subscribe to your channel, greetings from Argentina.
Thanks!
perfect only change the guitar tune
The intro is tapping too, it's easy.
Shut the fuck up, id like to see you do this
I liked this because google+ sucks
Avoided a lot of hard parts during the solo.
