The National Museum in Khartoum has a beautiful 30 foot statue of Taharqa. I have a video of my son when he was three years old pointing at the statue saying "Superman". Name your children Taharqa instead of Tyrone...Thank you for the video.

@@TYETHEG83 At the end of the day there is nothing "wrong. But we are the only people on the planet that honor our former masters by maintaining the branding/names they forced on us so many years ago. If you met a Japanese or Indian named Tyrone you might laugh, but no one finds it strange when Africans have these names. As Brother Malcolm once said walking around with these names let's the world know who owned your great great grandfather.

Also, the largest of all the Kushite pyramids was built in his honor. It was made so that if you are standing at the Jebel Barakal peak on the day the Nile begins it's flood, you can see the sun line up with the pyramid at sunrise, and if you are standing at the pyramid on the day the Nile flood recedes, you can see the sun line up with the Jebel Barakal peak at sunset. There is a documentary on youtube that has good visuals of this called, "Immortal Egypt: Invasion (Ancient Egypt Documentary)."

@EuropaNostra He was greeted as a liberator in Upper Egypt (the south), he then went north without any battles, he trusted Lower Egypt (the north), they initially allied with him.
They turned their backs and allied with the influxing Assyrians, forcing a Cushitic militarial retreat to the capital of Napata.
There was no reason to fight northward seeking vengeance, because the Persians (who Cush was allies with) annexed Assyrian territory, ending the Assyrian empire.
The later "Aethiopians" of Meroe, were largely on positive terms with the Greeks and Romans, they resisted Arab empires (and Islam) and remained Christians, until the Turks conquered and calling the land "Bilad Al-Sudan" (The land of the blacks)

from what i read, there were so many different kings and leaders over time; who wanted to have and control Egypt because of all the gold they were known to have, and the most beautiful fabrics, and clothing, oils, also Egypt was well known for its wine, so Egypt attracted lots of attention, rulers from the Middle East, Europe, India etc. were all interested in Egypt's commodities and resources. Some of the invaders would mutilated the statues; trying to discredit a particular Pharaoh or King.

Taharqa was known in the ancient world as one of the greatest conquerors of all time. Taharka himself mentions his fame in the ancient world for his military prowess. "His(Taharka) name circulating in all lands and foreign countries through the valiance of his valiant strong arm.” Stela of Taharka from year 6 from Kawa IV ca. 685 bce.
He led his armies according to strabo who quoted megasthenes, to the pillars of Hercules.
Many scholars have documented the extensive conquests of Taharka. John Giles discusses the great conquests of Taharka “A prince called tirhakoh in scripture, tearcho and taracho by the greeks had during the disaster of Egypt, been making great conquests in Ethiopia on both sides of the red sea. Availing himself of the caravan roads, through the broad continent of Africa, he had pursued his victorious career to the shores of the Atlantic, and northwards to the Pillars of Hercules. Many nomadic nations of Ethiopia and Arabia had united under his wide spreading dominion; and he had already performed more extensive and more difficult journeys, than the march which report now ascribed to him, of penetrating through the desert which joins the two cultivated regions of Arabia, Sabea, and Omanum, and then proceeding from the latter, along the western shore of the Persian gulf, into the rich Babylonian plain, and to its capital Nineveh, the proud Centre of Assyrian power.” Pg 122 The history of the world from the reign of Alexander to that of Augustus
    By John Gillies
Taharka was only defeated because of his old age
“Tirhakah was now quite old, as he had led the Egyptian army against Esarhaddon’s grandfather, and yet he was still of fight, and placed his army between Memphis and the Assyrians and gave them battle.” Pg 46 The chosen people by Winfield forrest cozart 1924

@Galactus2018 Taharqa conquered the Assyrians many times and was only defeated in his old age. he also conquered as far as Mesopotamia
“On a monument at Thebes, Taharqa is represented conquering the Assyrians….. Taharqa does this before Amen-Ra in his usual human type, who holds by cords three usual towns indicated by beardless captives, with their names in ovals. They are tash-pa, tesher, and kah-set or khash-khast, and are apparently Ethiopian. Tasher is of course the desert or red land, in antithesis to kami or Egypt. Besides Amen-Ra, a deity of smaller proportions wearing two hawks feathers on his head, is represented standing, holding a sceptre. This might be a form of anhar or onouris. A statue at bulaq records amongst other nations conquered the shasu or arabs, the khita or Syrians, aratu or aradus, kati or Phoenicians, assur or Assyria, and naharaina or Mesopotamia”

@Galactus2018 “The reign of Tirhakah (Tehrak) during this period appears to have been glorious. He was regarded by Judea as its protector, and exercised a certain influence over all Syria as far as Taurus, Amanus and the Euphrates. In Africa, he brought into subjugation the native tribes of the north coast, carrying his arms, according to some, as far as the Pillars of Hercules. He is exhibited at Medinet-Abou in the dress of a warrior, smiting with a mace ten captive foreign princes. He erected monuments in the Egyptian style at Thebes, Memphis, and Napata. Of all the Ethiopian sovereigns of Egypt he was undoubtedly the greatest; but towards the close of his life reverses befell him, which require to be treated in another section.” Pg 330

Additionally the many artifacts stolen from various Nubian kings/queens need to be returned to Sudan and apologies made by Italy, France, UK, and Belgium. In fact they should all contribute to a museum in Sudan that houses these artifacts for public view.

Pharaoh Tahaka.. king of both Nubia and Kemet (Egypt).
    Biblical references
    :-
    --------------------------------------
#Tahaka has been suggested to be Tirhakah, king of Ethiopia (Kush), who waged war against Sennacherib during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah (2 Kings 19:9; Isaiah 37:9)
The events in the biblical account are believed to have taken place in 701 BC, whereas #Tahaka came to the throne some ten years later. If the title of king in the biblical text refers to his future royal title, he still may have been too young to be a military commander.
Herodotus, the Greek historian who wrote his Histories c. 450 BC, speaks of a divinely-appointed disaster destroying an army of Sennacherib, which was defeated by Sethos (probably Shebitku) after praying to the gods. The gods sent "a multitude of field-mice, which devoured all the quivers and bowstrings of the enemy, and ate the thongs by which they managed their shields." This is commemorated in "a stone statue of Sethos, with a mouse in his hand, and an inscription to this effect 'Look on me, and learn to reverence the gods'."
According to Francis Llewellyn Griffith, an attractive hypothesis is to identify the pharaoh as #Tahaka before his succession, and Sethos as his Memphitic priestly title, "supposing that he was then governor of Lower Egypt and high-priest of Ptah, and that in his office of governor he prepared to move on the defensive against a threatened attack by Sennacherib. While #Tahaka was still in the neighbourhood of Pelusium, some unexpected disaster may have befallen the Assyrian host on the borders of Palestine and arrested their march on Egypt."
The two snakes in the crown of pharaoh #Tahaka show that he was the king of both the lands of Egypt and Nubia.

I know who to cast for King Taharqa, Daniel Kaluuya, but I don't know who to cast for King Sennacherib, Hezekiah and Isaiah, the film would be 2 hours and 48 minutes long, it would be epic, based in 701 BC Siege of Jerusalem.

Dr Clark said It best. The story of the great exodus out of Egypt. The oppression came under Assyrian reign. Took them in and gave them life. European literature says Egypt was oppressive and opposition to the one god, but yet....The Whole idea of monotheism came from Akhenaton and his wife. Yet I mention this and I’m considered blasphemous by my own people. Yet every story of gods promises and favoritism (just like he a man or some shit) to a particular people they want to claim that’s them in the Bible.
