2024-08-11 Time-Lapse: Toronto on Dramatically Cloudy Night

As far as I know, the a6400 only directly supports time-lapse through the "S&Q" menu, and that option is limited to 1 fps Full HD. To make time-lapse with any other capture or display formats requires an external controller. When I bought the a6400, I thought that this "oversight" would eventually be corrected by a firmware update. But that never happened.
This file is my second recent attempt at a time-lapse on this camera. The lens is, again my 20mm F2.8. Exposure is +1.3 and Picture Profile is Off, leaving a "normal" capture and render. I found the result had more contrast than I would
have preferred, with shadow details lost. Moreover, the shutter speed did not
drop below 1/30th sec. I was aware that this was going to happen, but I was
unable to set up an auto-exposure that allowed for longer shutter speeds.
What I did like about this clip is the dramatic cloud formations.
