I would like to smell this, hope I'll find a decant somewhere. Nothing can beat Guerlain's Vetiver or the Encre Noire line, and Bel Ami Vetiver is one of my all time favs. I really like vetiver, such a classy note, but I found my favs. Also like you said at the beginning of the video, I would really enjoy a Sauvage review, that would be interesting, made in the Ram way. Cheers!

I just despise the smell of Sauvage so much that it won't be pretty... even on the parfum which I think is one of the "better" Sauvages... but there is a new Sauvage coming out called Sauvage Eau Forte (😂) which just does my head in 🤦🏼‍♂️

Great video man I always love the way you explain fragrances how you talk about fragrances and about the history and about the notes there’s something I could just listen to for way too long! Hope you’re having a great day wherever you are keep up the good work, man!

Good to see someone review this Dior. I got a bottle of Aliage last year and it’s become one of my favorite green frags. Find it fresher than Devin and not as barnyardy but in the same category yes. Whatta fragrance.

It takes a lot to blow me away now a days... Aliage totally blew me off course... quite a fragrance 🙂

☆Dang Ram, great breakdown of Vetiver. I have but 2 vetiver forward creations... Lalique Encre Noire Etrem, like this one, and Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver Parfum...this one smells a little rubbery, like a dirty tire off my skin. That stated, i really wanna get ahold Guerlain's take, but am wanton to smell the full spectrum of differing vetivers. The sole thing admirable about vetiver i can relate to is how it reminds me of playing in the summer heat under the sprikler, sitting in my childhoods backyard. After the ground was thoroughly saturated, grabbing a large tuft of that grass and yanking it out to the roots. That earthy, deep soily woodroot smell. Good, but a weird thing to be jazzed about as a scent... For me its probably the most odd 'like' in scent accords, which i know is pretty tame in a larger frame of the frag comm world. ♡ you mucho Ram, y my Frag Fam amigo/as

What's funny is I know exactly what you mean... I also love the imagery used & I will tell you as the years go on Vetiver may continue to grow on you 🙂

For me Demachy has mastered parfum concentration. Dior Homme parfum, Fahrenheit parfum, Eau Sauvage parfum, and Sauvage Elixir; with each of those fragrances you can see that they are related to their original flanker but they have so much depth. It is incredible!

I agree with you... probably some of the best things he did while at Dior 🙂

Cheers Rams, not sniffed this one, sounds great I enjoy vetiver for sure , I grew up with smelling it off dad and Big John, it resonates as a man scent from my youth to me

Ramsey! I'm a VETIVER head & I think your review on Diors VETIVER has sold me on obtaining a discontinued bottle in the future.
Before it was discontinued, reviewers like max forti had)*A fan of this) said overtime it had been reformulated ,so when I do look to get a bottle the collector in me will certainly seek out an early bottle.
    Thanks again👍
    P. S. Looking to see Cedrat de Bois. Is original truly the Aventus killer?🙂

My favorite vetiver. I'm still looking for an alternative bright, as you say, vetiver.

This one is quality but not my thing. I decanted some and sold my bottle that I grabbed in Paris. I got it for a collector piece but it’s almost a Vetiver soliflore (or soliplant or whatever!) and it just was too much Vetiver for me. I agree it’s not a shapeshifter but I get almost exclusively Vetiver. And zero coffee. 🐏🐏

I think this is the most basic b vetiver, doesnt deserve to be in a private line. Guerlain and Chanel did it much better, but here Demache created the Dior one so what can you say…😂

I think he did a good job on this one , but I get it and the price knock is a big part of it... if this was priced more favorably who knows how it could have done 💪🐏

Rambeau💪...Never sniffed this one. But, I know that some serious FragHead friends of ours have both loved this or have sold it off right away. Nevertheless, this Privee was always hard to find. Well done, reat description🤌
