yes, it is not hard. But with the constant assembly and disassembly process, the wooden parts will probably suffer damage. My suggestion would be to make new wooden parts or design these parts and 3D print them.
Most of the sensors, LEDs, switchs and others have a cable with 3 connections, they are ground (negative), voltage (positive, normally 5V) and signal. The sensor shield has male connections for this 3 positions, for many connections. So, you must be careful to connect the sensor in the right position, respection the negative/signal position. The sensor shield have numbers for these connections, and these numbers on most shield boards match the arduino pins, so look the schematic to see what pins is the sensor connected to. ive followed all of the instructions and after plugging it in, all that happens is the buzzer going off + the lcd turning on. when i also connect to the app, nothing works. plz help me cuz i have a project due next week
I have a problem. 4 days ago i assembled the kit and everything was working fine until i tried to test it again. Now my buzzer is bepping every 2 seconds and LCD display is on, but i cant do anything else. Can you help me somehow?
At the final project I have uploaded the codes, and tried to input the password, (by pushing the button as password was identified in the codes, ) but it the was not successful and buzzer was beeping all the time. Pushing the button nothing happened, LCD screen did not change. Please let me know, what to do.
@@HendrikxWorkshop I have copy pasted the codes of the final project to the arduino software. The problem is, that the LCD Display do not show anything, when I input the password by the button1. In your video this step is at 8:30 - 8:40 Do you have maybe a testcode for this step (input something by the button, and LCD display write it)? If yes, I will provide my e-mail address.

My gears for both the window and the door are raised up when mounted on the servo and not nearly flush enough. Thus they miss the other gear they are supposed to interact with (too high for them). I have watched all the instructions over and over again and redone this to be sure they are assembled as in the directions and in your video for that matter. Any thoughts?
I took a picture but I am not sure how to send it to you. The servo horn must be on the opposite side of the servo, so the gear will be closer to the servo then the servo horn.
@@HendrikxWorkshop Thanks for the reply! I did all that and an email from Keyes support noted I had actually used the wrong screw from them the servo plastic bag (of course the only screws not labeled in the kit). All that said the gears on the window and door still don't actually line up with each other. It's also looks like the "house stock material" I got looks way thinner and way flimsier that what you show in your video. Through my OCD and the creative use of some spacers I was able to get the window and door gears to work. I had no problem with anything else, the Sensors and the Arduino portion were straight forward. IMHO this smart home project is a great idea that could have been so much more if it would have been a bit better executed. As it is now it is a bit tedious and my kids lost interest leaving me on it alone in the end.
Yes I agree. But you can use arduino, components and sensors to assemble something else. Check out my animatronic videos. 3D files are available for free. my sugestion is to review all connections and program code. Try to reload a diferent LiquidCrystal library. 3.3VL error is probably related to 3,3volts, check the power supply.

I am considering buying such sets for my vocational school class. Is it easy to disassemble and reuse them after use?
