Continually surprised by how well this hand-held, film-as-you-go format works out. Makes it feel like you're around the table watching while keeping the downtime to a minimum - great editing too!
I do edit out a lot of filler. :) Thanks, I'm glad you feel that way, as that's what I'm going for. I don't have the budget for fancy studio setups and time-wasting effects anyway! 🤣
Mate, I had no idea you're a kiwi! Been reading your posts and site for everything Warcry. Nice to see more kiwis into the game. Also, thanks heaps for making that rules summary sheet!
This is possibly the best battle report for Warcry that I've seen. I have seen some that are hard to follow, but with this game I knew exactly what was happening the whole time. Really well done hope to see more warcry content!
Great game and enthusiasm helping us all to remember not to take it to seriously and just have fun. When I place wound tokens I have it so that it shows at a glance how many wounds are left, so I don't have to keep working the maths out, it's so much easier that way. I have subscribed and liked and now need to find where you have more Warcry battle reports lurking
Did you use actions when you used abilities? In round two it sounded like you said your first action was to shoot a blowgun ability and then second action was to move. Unless something has drastically changed in the new edition, using abilities does not take an action. I don't have this set, but do some of those abilities specifically say they count as actions?
I should have made this more clear - using an ability isn't an action (though there may be some specific exceptions I can't recall off the top of my head), and you can only use 1 ability per activation. We may have jumbled the terminology a few times (not to mention got it wrong a few times!)
Considering I saw the band many times live in the old days, maybe I picked up a few moves. 🤣 As an interesting bit of related trivia however, my full name is Peter Gifford, which happens to be the same as that of the band's old bass player!
@@EsotericOrderGamers I watched the entire video, must have missed it. Went back and re-watched the first ten minutes assuming it was mentioned in the game setup, didn't find it, though you mentioned you 'wanted to use more terrain than recommended' or something like that, is that the explanation? Re-watched many parts of the video and still didn't catch it. Decided to stop wasting my time and just ask. Figured it would be the path of least resistance after doing my due diligence and trying to find it myself.
@@EsotericOrderGamers Ah, after the deep cut studios plug where you brought your reinforcements in. Not sure how I missed it. I think I had paused the video in confusion and went back trying to figure it out. Then probably skipped right over it trying to get back to where I left off. Anyway, great game and thanks for the rules pdf on your website.
@@MartinTheMartian1 I really made you work for that answer didn't I? 🤣 Sorry, didn't realise the info was so hidden away. Anyway, thanks for the extra views! 🤣

This is an amazing example of Warcry at its best. Swings and roundabouts, cinematic moments and just plain good fun.
Thanks for that lovely positive comment Joshua!

Hate to disappoint you, but I'm not! I'm Australian - I moved over here 11 years ago.😆
@@EsotericOrderGamers haha fair enough! To be fair, I couldn't quite tell until your mate started talking (he's obviously kiwi 😁) Cheers ☺

Great, thankyou - spread the word, tell your friends! :) There are lots of other fun batreps on this channel, check them out.
Awesome video by the way, nothing gets better than this.
🍺 Glad you enjoyed it mate!

What a board!
WOW :)
Cheers!
damn thats some well painted terrain, cant say i'm patient enough to make it that nice haha
I put on a podcast and relax when I'm painting, it doesn't require any patience! 😆
Nice battle with great terrain! Btw you can only add a Wild Dice ONCE to each chain. So no making Quads by adding 2. Cheers
Oh whoops! You're right of course.
Thanks

hey peter you sure your last name is not Garrett, you do a great mid night oil impersonation 🙂

Great report! Would love to see more Warcry love.
Out of curiosity, what camera are you using? It’s wonderfully crisp.
That, my friend, is an iPhone 13 mini. Better video picture than the 3 Sony and Canon cameras that came before it...
Thanks Peter👍thanks Dylan👍 always fantastic gameplay🌞 all figures and terrain incredible amazing🎨 greetings from⚪🔴Poland😀 Jack🎯
Was that a hounds of love reference at 34:50??
Of course! Though more accurately a Night of the Demon (1957) reference. 🤣
@@EsotericOrderGamers awesome
There are HEAPS of hidden music references in my battle reports and they're rarely commented on them - go find the lot! 😆
@@EsotericOrderGamers I will begin my quest…
Great presentation, thanks! Is the board you're playing on 30"x22"? If not, is there a reason?
This is the second time I've been asked - are you watching the video? Because I explain the reason why the table is set up the way it is in the video.

wow great game!! warcry is so fun
weapons with one range like 6 or 8 can be used like melee weapons within 3 inch.
I just updated my rules & reference! 😆
My money's gotta be on the blowpipes!!
I'll take that bet!
Isnt, that terrain too big for a warcry game?
If you're referring to the size of the table, in the video I explain how we take that into account.
Here's hoping those blowpipes don't suck (sorry).
That really sticks in my throat. 😜
@@EsotericOrderGamers I've always been too full of hot air.
Yeah, that blows.
