The "icing" on the last snack you had isn't icing and it's not paper either... xD It's just a thin, smooth wafer. So no, you're not supposed to peel it off.^^
I swear to god when I was blue and shot down. I discovered you looking for videos the usual but you just seem to brighten my day so much I cant help but feel so happy. when ever I see you I cannot whatch a minit of you without smiling first for a second.
Dear Emmy, yes the paper is eatable : ) It´s like the sweet paper in your german video ; ) Like your work : ) You´re such a sweetie! Lots of greetings from Vienna
what you call "paper" is actually called "Oblate" in german. it's supposed to taste like that. it's typical for church, you'll get it there in the holy mass and it's used in a lot of recipies. not everybody likes it, but that's how it is. Try eating an oblate, without chewing! ;P it sticks to the top of your mouth and it is really hard to get it off! children sometimes play games, whose oblate disolves last. :D it is a really fun game to play.
"Rumkugeln" are filled with Rum and Rum is made out of molasses. It's alcohol like Whiskey or Cognac and comes from the Phillipines, South and Middleamerica etc. On "darbo Fruchtsnack" there is something like a eatable paper, so you just have to bite in that "sandwich". The reason why Manner doesn't taste so choclatey is because it isn't chocolate-cream between the wafers, it is hazelnut cream. Also the Mozartkugeln in the gold foil just have on the outside chocolate, then there is nougat cream and then comes the little marzipan basically :-)
I have just started to watch your videos and I am already a fan...you are so lucky getting to sample all these products from around the world...I wish I could x
The "Beeren" berry candy has edible rice-paper on top & bottom, to prevent the candy from sticking to the wrapper. It's pretty much flavorless, but perfectly fine to eat.
I knew the Schokoschirmchen mainly from Christmas time, in austria they are often hanged as edible ornaments on the christmas tree And Mannerschnitten should be part of the national anthem, I mean you find them EVERYWHERE, from the Opera house's restaurants to any soccer club house and like EVERY workplace and school cantina. You can even orde them in many coffee houses and cafes.
Yay! I'm so happy that you posted one of Austria! I'm going to be touring Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein in march with my school :D I was looking for good snacks to try :D
the white paper stuff is a kind of wafer! it is absolutely edible, and will melt in your mouth, but very slowly. my favorite german cookie has it on the bottom, and it really makes the cookie.
the "wald beeren" fruit bar in minute 10 has eatable paper outside, it taste very neutral, but is definitely there to be able to hold the sticky fruitbar. good videos!
It's called "Esspapier" > paper to be eaten. You just leave it where it is. It does not taste like much but is eatable and just helps to have something to grap on.
This paper is fully edible. Mostly it is used as a piece of sweets. But there is also a sweet that is called "Esspapier" (German, rough translation: edible paper) what is just a slice of this paper. The kids love it. Because it is so crazy. Paper that can be eaten.
I'm from Austria so I speak german (of corse :)) and its very funny for me to hear the word "Schirmchen" when u say it 'cause you say it like "Schörmöchen". I think almost everbody from Austria knows what I mean :D
2:26 The chocolate or hazelnut cream filled Waffel. Originally an Italian treat also known as NEAPOLITAN. You can also buy those treads under this name in Germany also ( Neapolitaner). Männer is just one of the most famous companies producing them. But it is as with the MOZART KUGEL since there exists no Copyright everyone can sell them
The fruitsnack (last candy) has something like a waffle on it ^^ It is dried and pressed fruit paste. The waffle is there to protect your finger from sticking. But you're suposed to eat it with it ^^' I hope you understand what I mean. It is one of the "more healphy" candy.
I have seen the edible paper like she said on the flying saucer candy with the candy inside the saucer. So I would guess it would taste pretty good on a berry candy bar. It is almost like a super thin wafer.
Aaaah~! I had those Mozart chocolates and wafers when I went to Austria with my high school marching band about 4 or 5 years ago >w< They were delicious!! And I would love to try those rum-kokos one of these days~! Though I probably couldn't handle the intensity of it xD It seems like it's definitely worth a try though!
Yes, it was paper :D It' called "Esspapier" which means "eat paper" ^^ It just like a cover for food :) You can buy them in different colours as well in Germany & Austria :D
haha, what a funny woman. she has a lot of Viewers and makes People even send her Sweets and Food, just to watch eating it in UA-cam. I love that woman, thats Genius!
She doesnt make anyone do anything. She started showing japanese candy and people started to randomly send her stuff from around the world. She doent ask anything of her viewers.
I am from Austria and I am always eating that edible paper thingy of that fruit bars (the last thing Emmy ate in this video). We also have this stuff with apple and other flavours. ;)
Hey emmy! For the last snack : it's not paper hehe it is a sort of rice paper and it is usally used to cover something that without it would be sticky :)
at the last candy you can eat the paper around the bar! it's paper to eat :D we have it also in germany and it's very popular at the childs. by the way; I don't like the bar, it's also in Germany. I think it's soooo sweet. Not too sweet because of too much sugar, too sweet because of too much fruit sweetness (did I said it right? :x sry for my maybe bad english). And I had to laugh when you tried out the chocolate balls with coconut and rum :D every candy with rum in it has a strong taste of rum. In Germany we have "Rumkugeln" (rum balls), that are balls with chocolate crumble mixture at the outside and inside there's a chocolate-rum cream and it also has a strong rum taste :D But it's goooood *-* (in my opinion)
I remember going to Canada one year and my parents picked up a candy that was similar to the Rum Koko's, but instead of it being rum it was vodka. chocolate coated with a hard candy and the vodka was in the middle.
Seeing all these "Emmy Eats" videos makes me want to travel around the world even more! I have a huge sweet tooth and the snacks from different cultures look so yummy (+___+)
Im Austrian and I really enjoy watching you try these. Also, all of my life, I've been wondering what the Nimm 2 leaf shaped gummy sweet is meant taste of.
The 'paper' on the Darbo fruit slices (Fruchtsnack Waldbeere) from 09:57 is like "Esspapier/Oblate" in german - very thin paper-like wafers similar to the host, christian sacramental bread. Something like edible wafer paper/rice paper in english. So yes, I think you can eat it :-) Many similar (sport-)snacks have that because the fruit slice itself would be too sticky to hold ^^
I remember in Canada in some parts of Easter we would get about 3,17,11 thing of chocolate shaped like a carrot and whatever age we were that's the amount we would get and I would never be aloud to buy them for myself!
Haha, no Emmy, you didn't eat paper! It's part of the bar! I love it! It's 'paper' you can eat! Kids here have money-paper you can eat, too! It's thin and white, nearly transparent, but comes in many flavours! :D The 'paper' around the bar is for that your finger don't stick to the sweet mashed berries! Please thumbs up, so Emmy can see :)
I'm from Austria and the white stuff on the darbo waldbeere is eatable :) it's called Oblate! :D

moanst ned eha: es is so geil wonn ma aus österreich kimmt? :D
The "icing" on the last snack you had isn't icing and it's not paper either... xD
It's just a thin, smooth wafer. So no, you're not supposed to peel it off.^^
It's actually eatable paper, at least if you want to translate it^^
I swear to god when I was blue and shot down. I discovered you looking for videos the usual but you just seem to brighten my day so much I cant help but feel so happy. when ever I see you I cannot whatch a minit of you without smiling first for a second.
nameless268 :D!

Glaub mir man bekommt sie ^^
du hast schon Recht ! ^^

I have just started to watch your videos and I am already a fan...you are so lucky getting to sample all these products from around the world...I wish I could x
You always seem to have the power to put a very big smile of content on my face!
You are so awesome! You have people addicted to watching you eat and try new things. I just love your facial expressions!
The "Beeren" berry candy has edible rice-paper on top & bottom, to prevent the candy from sticking to the wrapper. It's pretty much flavorless, but perfectly fine to eat.

Yay! I'm so happy that you posted one of Austria! I'm going to be touring Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein in march with my school :D I was looking for good snacks to try :D
Out of all the Emmy Eats you've done, this one made me actually want to try every single one of these treats! They look so delicious!
Hi. The coating on the berry bar is called rice paper and you eat it with the bar. In SA they usually have it on the nougat.
Wow, I would have never known.
Sounds delicious :)
your videos inspire me thanks for making them you truly are my inspiration
Good point! Try having it as a coffee creamer flavor, no alcohol at all, just the flavor of it
Austrian candy looks so delectable! What a treat it must have been to eat all those cute candies
the white paper stuff is a kind of wafer! it is absolutely edible, and will melt in your mouth, but very slowly. my favorite german cookie has it on the bottom, and it really makes the cookie.
the "wald beeren" fruit bar in minute 10 has eatable paper outside, it taste very neutral, but is definitely there to be able to hold the sticky fruitbar.
good videos!
I´m living in Austria, but I´m Polish and I watched both vidoes about the countries sweet and your reviews are the best!!!
I see - thanks :)
It's called "Esspapier" > paper to be eaten. You just leave it where it is. It does not taste like much but is eatable and just helps to have something to grap on.
no you are not supposed to take that off they are a lot of things made with paper that you can actually eat
This is actually a very thin wafer.
you don't peel the "paper" off the wild beeren bar :)

And where are you from?
This paper is fully edible. Mostly it is used as a piece of sweets. But there is also a sweet that is called "Esspapier" (German, rough translation: edible paper) what is just a slice of this paper.
The kids love it. Because it is so crazy. Paper that can be eaten.
Agreed :)
Your hair looks really cute like that.
I love those flying saucers. you let it melt in your mouth and then there are tiny candy balls in it love them.
It's so funny to watch that if you grow up in Austria;D
I'm from Austria so I speak german (of corse :)) and its very funny for me to hear the word "Schirmchen" when u say it 'cause you say it like "Schörmöchen".

Männer is just one of the most famous companies producing them. But it is as with the MOZART KUGEL since there exists no Copyright everyone can sell them
Actually "Nimm2" is from Germany.
Penner
I said schirmchen means umbrella. :)
The fruitsnack (last candy) has something like a waffle on it ^^ It is dried and pressed fruit paste. The waffle is there to protect your finger from sticking. But you're suposed to eat it with it ^^' I hope you understand what I mean. It is one of the "more healphy" candy.
because you can form little faces and figures with the candys so they are supposed to look like eyes and the "nipple" is the pupil :)
in germany we call them carrots for easter, icicle for x-mas and the rest of the time they are just umbrella.

i love these videos where you try food from different places! ^-^
I have seen the edible paper like she said on the flying saucer candy with the candy inside the saucer. So I would guess it would taste pretty good on a berry candy bar. It is almost like a super thin wafer.
Hahah Rummkugel.. there is nearly no alcohol in it.. you can eat nearly 4 baggs of them and you r not drunk
Aaah I used to eat so many Rum-Kokos-Kugeln from the age of 10-15. They're soo good. I should really buy some again.
Its called 'rice paper' its a bit unusual but 100% edible. Flying saucers are awesome!
the marzipan truffles can be found in the States as well.

We have something similar to the umbrellas here in the US. I used to always get them for Easter, but they were carrots instead of umbrellas.
Yes, it was paper :D
It' called "Esspapier" which means "eat paper" ^^
It just like a cover for food :)
You can buy them in different colours as well in Germany & Austria :D
How comes you don't like Casali? Me and everybody I know can eat one bag at once.
I don't like it either ... and I know quite a few other people who are the same soooo ... :/
haha, what a funny woman. she has a lot of Viewers and makes People even send her Sweets and Food, just to watch eating it in UA-cam. I love that woman, thats Genius!
She doesnt make anyone do anything. She started showing japanese candy and people started to randomly send her stuff from around the world. She doent ask anything of her viewers.
