I used to work graveyard shift security in an office just like this. A zombie apocalypse happening when I was stuck in there alone was one of my worst nightmares, despite it being a failry secure location. Its perfect, just missing the old microwave and a cardboard cutout of our lord and savior Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
@@daoyang223 Sorry for the late response, I actually bounced around a bit. Working security was my way of helping cover college expenses. (Its pretty great, you can do your homework if you can stomach the late hours and horror-movie vibes) My first big job was at a corporate office of a video game developer. We were located by a shoreline so during the day, I mostly dealt with angry swans in the parking lot or disgruntled gamers demanding to speak to someone in charge. Night shifts were scarier because I had to patrol in the dark. Bc these were game devs, a lot of the office spaces were decorated with promotional cutouts and statues of characters. Cool during the day, but you really dont want to round a corner and see a necromorph at 3am. That job was still a lot of fun bc of the people I worked with. My boss would occasionally move characters around to scare me and in return I aggressively decorated our shared cubicle with weekly themes like dinosaurs or My Little Pony. My second big job was after I moved to LA for an internship at an animation studio. I got a transfer to an NBC building where I was the only guard. That was probably the creepiest because it was always grave shift and I was completely alone for most of the night. It was worse during covid because I was considered necessary so I was in a dark office building overlooking other dark office buildings. LA was scary quiet. Then the BLM happened and while most of the protests started peaceful, you'd get assholes taking advantage of the situation, and cops are gonna cop, so from my little vantage point it sounded like the apocolypse outside. On the flipside I made friends with this other girl who came by to bleach everything for a couple hours every shift. She occasionally brought Salvadorian food and we'd shit-talk and share funny videos. We're still friends to this day :) Nowadays I draw comics for a living. I still work late hours but I get to do it in my pajamas with my dog
@@hobowithashotgun3438 None of my posts were armed so I had to imagine what I could do with an umbrella and a tazer. The umbrellas worked on angry swans at least.
I don't know how you would have wanted it to come out, but I really like what came out. 🤭 I like all the details on the surveillance monitors, not to mention the camera movements. 😁 Great project! 👍
Day 9: When my uncle told me he’d constructed an underground bunker, I called him crazy. Now, it’s the only reason I’m still here and my family is alive. We’re safe him and I, hiding down here with our families. Last I heard, the government has fallen. We’ve got plently of food, lasting us for years, along with the supply of water. Best we can do is wait this thing out and hope it’ll pass. Perhaps we’re the only ones left… I try not to think about it, but it’s hard not to when I’m on watch in the control room.
@@avrie6668 I hope not. I would love to live in an underground bunker with infinite power and a control room with cameras so I can see everything everywhere. Id love to keep track of zombies this way too.
I recognize the second from the left top monitor as having the sweeping flashlight from another of your videos. That and the ubiquitous 5.56 rifle are the only easter eggs I've noticed so far.
thank you for another inspiration drop for my writing, I will make sure I credit you in short stories, because if not for you, I would not be writing again, another banger indeed
The static in this reminds me a bit of "Kokoku" by Laurie Anderson. And I like how the broadcast or reception goes in and out. And of course, the creepy sounds that come in all of a sudden, scaring me because I was comfortable listening to the static.... 😂
Mike sat at the comms, resting his rattled nerves some as he tried to radio back to Starcourt. " Monarch, this is alpha squad. The West end outpost has been abandoned. The virus sample crate has been cleard out also. Awaiting further orders." He spoke quietly.
Day ... Ugh, I don't remember. I've lost track after the last entry. Every day is the same. I patrol the halls in the first floor and check the windows for any sign of break-in. None whatsoever. I'm surprise of this location. I must hit the jackpot with this discovery of a sanctuary. No survivors or those things have been encountered here. Just me, myself and I. P.S. I hate leaving the safety of this building to find food. Every time I leave, I just hope to come back in one piece. If anyone read this, I'm either dead or left to another place for the sake of my sanity.

Where did you work at? I hope it was a high security tower in New York. What do you do now?
I used to work overnight security as well, but I was well armed, and my building had a lot of supplies. Zombies would have been a cake walk.

They use to be 50.000 thousand people in the city now it’s a ghost town full with zombies 🧟♂️ 😮

2 rifles and it’s always nice to see a Ak too

Three monitors down.
Two possible explanations; bad connection or a lazy ambience creator 😅
@@UNZEEEN 😂 I was thinking a third option. Zombies are getting smarter and blew them out.
