I'm honestly glad that the red version is more easily found, if only because like you said, it's the final iteration of his suit when he fought Batman at his own home.
Yeah, it def makes more sense

Did not expect a Smurfs reference twice in one video. Wonderful touch! I really wanted the blue, platinum version as my definitive Azbat, but was not disappointed in the least once I picked up the red version.

Awesome review, really like the collector’s edition idea. My mind’s eye version of this suit is blue so I wish I could get that one. Mainly bc I used to have a trading card with Azrael landing on a rooftop with lightning strikes behind - so epic! I had that and loved it before I ever read the storyline. Batman wearing a full helmet with all the razor edges was so cool to me, if I only flipped over the card I would’ve known it wasn’t Bruce haha
Yeah I didn't read the story as it was published, so when I was a kid I thought that was a robot suit he wore to compensate for the broken back
I just got him yesterday an I am having a blast

As always, really enjoyed and appreciate the review! Just curious though, you don’t ever show the white night Batman any love in the head swaps. I know the bodies kind of stylized, but I think there’s still some comic scans. That would look pretty cool on it.

That would be awesome! Knowing Mcfarlane, I'm sure we'll be seeing this character again. Hopefully we'll get that at some point.

It's funny how distribution works. I live in Ecuador, yeah, Ecuador, and here there's a chain of supermarkets that get dc multiverse figures for only 4 or 5 bucks extra for the shipping. We even get some exclusives like mcfarlanetoysstore exclusives and limited editions. I got my patina merciless here.
And just today I went to one and found like 5 Azraels... Both red and blue! Of course people are getting them, but I find it funny how this system works. I didn't got one, I'm waiting to go to another store today to pick up the platinum Hong Kong skydive Batman and perhaps the Anne Hathaway catwoman.
If you guys find it difficult to get dc multiverse figures, try with other countries. Little pricier but sometimes easier to find.

Well, you might be insane (I don't know you like that, after all lol) BUT you are correct! I do have the regular version now, but I use the Retro Card for my comparisons because the colors more closely match Spectacular Spider-Man, and therefore the shots with them together balance better.

It's hard to tell in the video but the sleeves don't exactly match the coat. And honestly I would like sleeves that are a bit thicker so it feels like a coat over the jacket. Beyond that, I'd love to be able to give him a vest.

I saw the red one at the store the other day but didn’t get him. I’m not much of a comic reader so don’t mind. It looks cool but impractical to have that batsuit on.

7:06 i genuinely wish that black, red, and gold version *was* the platinum edition, rather than the more desirable blue and gold Azbats
That to me would be a much better way to go for a platinum. A fun offshoot that some people might enjoy, but isn't necessary to the collection

(ii) Stealth Suit Iron Man is small and blue.
Therefore, if BOTH statements are true, it follows then that Stealth Suit Iron Man is indeed a Smurf.

That artwork for the blue azrael has so much wrong with it. Like…his torso is jutting out and slanting back into the armor. And did his ribs become tumors or something?
Yeah...Kelley Jones has a shaky grasp of anatomy. Still, he did produce some very iconic Batman images.
Red azrael is now not apart of the dc universe. Dc lost the rights to azrael on August 9th, 2022 infringement rights .
