I’m the guy that flagged you down! I started my own company in April because I was inspired by you. September 23rd was my 25th birthday. I recently got engaged and am also building a new house. The 100 mile drive to prosper from Granbury was so worth it all week long because I got to have that interaction with you on my birthday. And I’ll tell you what I don’t think I have ever been so productive in one day. It was awesome. God bless. Keep up the great work. Most of my residential customers ask me if I do trim and always tell them to call DFW crown molding and about your channel. Cheers bud thanks for putting me in the video.

Hey thanks for saying hi! When you first flagged me down I thought something was wrong with my WindsorOne boards that I had strapped in the bed of the truck. Love the work. The idea behind the scribe cut and the 3/4 offset is exactly what I needed for a project I now have to redo. Oh well, lessons learned. The jokes were hilarious. I loved the closing part the check clearing. Thanks for the ideas on the use of primed finger-joint pine. I think you should invest in a 2nd nail gun. You already have enough batteries and it would cut your installation time almost in half when you have a helper like that. I think it would be a great investment. Also lets you have a backup if anything happens to the other one.

The design of this is gorgeous. We have an open concept like this and the 40’ span of textured drywall is boring AF. Going to attempt this at some point. Didn’t expect you to use a butt joint for the longer lengths...was thinking a 45 for a scarf like I’m used to doing on baseboards, but with using pocket holes, I get it now. Always learning when I watch your videos. Thanks for the content.

What I do is remove the drywall & insulation. I move the joists to make box beams screwing a 2x6 between 2 joists to for the beam.. 1/8" ply on top. It's a more rustic look which I like. Looks great and the attic ends up flat so insulation isn't broken up by joists so better R value. Also makes the ceiling appear higher.
