Removing ‘bulk’ is achievable with a styling adjustment as well. For this type of cut, I found combing in a side-part not only helps ppl with fine hair *add* volume, it also oddly helps those with thick hair *reduce* volume.

I really enjoy watching your vids man! I’ve often tried growing my hair out but I keep giving up after a few months because it just doesn’t look the way I want to and looks very ugly because it grows really slow on top but the sides are going crazy! I almost consider to fly from The Netherlands to London to get it shaped by you. Great work!! Keep it up❤️
Question here, so how do we go about describing this to our stylist without them having to watch a 30 minute video? Can you make a video on how yo explain to stylist?
First tip is make sure you go to a salon. Salons are more experienced with longer hair. Dan is amazing and knows what hes doing even though some might say hes a "barber". Second bring in pictures and explain to them the different aspects you like about this style. Maybe one thing is in a particular style you like how it feathers towards the end. How its not frizzy and has this movement or wave to it. Maybe the shape and how the sides are layered etc. Any good stylist shoulf be qble to come up with a plan on how to go about styling it based on the picture and the things you are describing. Or they might say this wont work with your hair texture here is something else we can try instead but is still similar.
The only problem with your videos man, is that you're not in my country!! Haha just joking man. You have an amazing talent! I see barbers on YT but you are just outstanding! I'm going to try and study these vids as much as possible to try and cut my own hair. It's a big risk but anytime I get it cut it's hard explaining what I am going for. Well done man!
How long does it take to grow my hair such as long as in the video? I have 10cm on top and 4,5cm on the sides, growing out my undercut. My goal is to have long hair up to my shoulders.
I don’t think the client has got what he wanted. Although the stylist does have the gift of the gab. That cut will soon look out of balance because too much has been taken off the nape.
That was exactly my feeling. The client certainly didn't look too pleased and I'm not surprised to be honest. The stylist certainly waffles on and more often than not in an incoherent and not very assuring manner. I wouldn't return after a cut like that.
@@suchisthismystery2814 "The client certainly didn't look too pleased and I'm not surprised to be honest." @@terratec1001 Well there was a notable change in the clients face when he got to see the back of his hair and I don't believe for one moment that was because he "suddenly" became "self-conscious of the camera"; it had after all been on him throughout the duration of the haircut. If the client had been happy with the finished haircut his face would have most likely shown that, but it was notably the opposite in this case.
