The silver king run is a 20 to 40 min hike from chair 6 depending on powder conditions. It’s very steep and there is almost no one there because it’s such a tough hike. I did 5 of these hikes in deep powder this day and this was my first attempt to going down this hike. (This was my first ever attempt on all these lines) There is a chute at the bottom that is small and narrow depending on conditions. It’s very dangerous to attempt. You pick up a lot of speed. I did this years ago and here is the video from the silver kings run from that day. I was most alone and no one else was doing the hike then. Now, it’s rare to find good conditions on this run. Good luck. Don’t worry about the haters, there will always be haters are complain but can’t do this hike let alone 5 of them in one day. Stay safe out there

It’s about about 8 to 9 feet lol
Very awesome looking run. But you need to work on that massive body counter rotation. Until you do, you will always be plowing in between your turns and will never be stable enough to carve the steeps. It's an easy bad habit to develop but it is seriously limiting you. I had to take lessons to break it for myself but it's worth the effort. Keep at it and have fun!

@@BenNdjami The season is not over yet! I was out in the Crystal Backcountry yesterday and found a bowls with 8"+ of fresh powder with softpack below it.

Goggles got foggy from the hike. I switched to the smith goggles. They don’t dog up

I was the only one was hiking up there and I did 3 of silver king run in one day and more. Your lazy ass was at the base 😂 on the greens where it belongs. I can now rip all of it 2 years later. @@BenNdjami I rode for 6 years straight in the Colorado backcountry and resorts. Point it straight and run it out was my motto. Just jealous it's been awhile lol. I had some spectacular high speed crashes for that motto tho 🤣
Hey Brian, welcome to the PNW. It’s not like CO powder here. I’ve rode in vail and copper on a powder day and that pow was so fluffy. We got a bit heavy pow here but you can still point straight from the top but it will for sure feel different. For sure recommend you come ride this run at crystal. It’s the silver king. I tomahawk last year trying to point it on this one😂. The chute is pretty narrow towards the end so consequence are very high. If you are in great physical shape and can hike in powder for 20 to 30 min each run, then Come give it shot with me this year. Should be filled in by March. That’s when it’s prime sendy season. Have fun and stay safe out there.
