Thanks for your video. But, from what i understand: actually there is no exemptions. Of course, you can say ACCA member dont have to attend the course and just straight away write exams. But I suppose that we may need to attend the courses in order to pass the exams. Additionally, there is no module exempted for ACCA member?
Thanks for your comment. Definitely, once you become a CPA and return to your home country the designation is still yours as along as you continue to meet the requirements to retain your CPA membership such as paying your membership dues and professional development.
So I need to have a bachelors degree and be an acca member to apply for cpa canada or can I just go for cpa canada after I complete my acca and get a brookes university degree in bsc applied accounting as they have a mutual agreement
There's no requirement to have a bachelor's degree before applying to CPA Canada. Once you become an acca member u can apply to CPA Canada and get the relevant exemptions.
Thanks for sharing. Clarify please ACCA Fellow with many years of experience can get a job in canada directly without doing all you have mentioned? Please update thanks
Thanks for your comment. Yeah an ACCA Fellow or non-fellow can definitely get a job in Canada without doing what I have mentioned in the video. The video is particularly for those interested in getting the Canadian CPA. Which an ACCA member can either get through mutual recognition or by challenging the CPA exam.
Meaning to say: ACCA member:direct go to exam Non member:study then go to exam? wow, actually a lot of accounting body just let u do exam, and if you can pass then you get the certificate.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, you will have to take same pathway as ACCA members because at the moment CPA does not have an MOU with CIMA just like ACCA.
Without the CPA Canada MRA, the value of the ACCA is reduced worldwide. Canada was open to ACCA members with the MRA, now that might not be the case.
Yeah. The MRA between CPA Canada and ACCA is no longer in place at the moment.

Thank you for clearing up confusion.

Once I become a Canadian CPA and decide to move back to my home country will I still have the CPA accreditation? Thanks.
