Could you tell me that if I only did my secondary school education in India, can I do cpa in Canada without any bachelor degree . I did my accounting diploma in canada.
I'm so glad I could simplify it for you. When you're in the CPA program, be sure to check out the survival guide video I have to help you understand how the modules go.
Let me know in the comments below, what videos you want to see more of! If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please also let me know as well. Thanks!
No Problem, Thank you so much for watching!! New video coming out this weekend!!! Please subscribe and share with friends if you haven't already!! Let me know if you have topics you wanted to know more about. 🙂
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. I can think about that. But to give you a quick answer, I think it's just after work and on weekends. I know it's hard, but you just have to clear your calendar and commit to this. Set a realistic plan for yourself on how much readings you can do and stick to it. Having friends to study with you will also help as well with motivation and keeping you on tract
Thank you so much. This was really helpful! question, when should i submit my transcript to CPA for them to tell me what requirements I need to take and how soon do they usually respond? I'll be done my undergrad dec 2023.
Hi shumuz… Just wondering if you can make video on registration of cpa program because I Don’t understand how to start. Actually i started evaluating my degree with wes. What is further step on cpa ontario page? I see there is option coming cpa combined application do i need to select that category?
if you don't opt for the taxes in the core, can you take it later even after becoming a CPA? (in case you want to change your career and move to public accounting / audit firms)
Thank you for the video, I am wondering I have undergrad in my back home and studied 2 years accounting diploma college program in Canada. Is that make me to jump straight to Capstone 1? Thank you
If you go to 2:33 (Entry Points Into The PEP Program?) of the video, you can see. If you just start with core 1, core 2, electives.... it would take you about 1.5-2 years. If you do a Diploma or Masters degree, the CPA process can be shorter by a couple months, but at a minimum is still a year (If taken the Masters Program). This is just the education component, after that, you need to have 30 months work experience. Hope this helps.
Hey boss, If i completed my degree but am lacking a 60 in one of the core courses, would I have to re-enrole in a uni to get that credit again? Also is there anyway to do the core 1 and 2 without a diploma program? Appreciate the help.
I believe that you do not get the 60% in one course, you can retake the course again in University, or CPA also provides courses that you can make up that mark in. In terms of your second question, your starting point is at core 1 if you meet the requirement. If you do not meet the requirement, you will need to take the CPA preparatory courses to make up for it. Please see here to see what they offer: www.cpaontario.ca/students/prerequisite-preparatory-courses/preparatory-schedules?filter15834=%7B%22semester%22%3A%7B%22label%22%3A%22Semester%201%202022%20(Nov.%202021%20start)%22%2C%22value%22%3A%22Semester%201%202022%20(Nov.%202021%20start)%22%7D%7D
I'm not sure what the 12th in India is. But when you get to Canada, you should reach out to the provincial CPA and ask them if your prior experience and education in India will count towards the prerequisites to enroll in the CPA PEP program and start at Core 1.
im enrolled in 4 years bcom majour accounting degree at Humber college , longo school of business, this degree counts right to be eligible for the cpa pep ???
Hlw, i 'hve recently done my graduation in Accounting in Bangladesh so can i do CPA PEP in canada And how also i want to know which university will provide me this course.
Hi there, I have completed some of pre requisite course from the university of British Columbia And I have bachelors degree in Commerce from India. So Can I complete rest of pre requisite course from CPA Canada site? Please could you answer this question? It would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
Hi, yes, I believe that you will be able to complete all the remaining CPA required courses from the CPA Prep Program, would advise you to get in contact with CPA BC
Thank you for the informative video. I am a student at Humber college pursuing Professional Accounting Practices Program. As part of my study, I have been asked to interview one CPA Canada. If you could help me with any lead, it would be awesome. Thank you.
There are certificates or Masters's programs you can take in university to bypass some of the PEP modules. Or you can enroll in all of them with CPA directly.
@ShumzCPA so does CPA conducts it online or they have dedicated centers. Which one would you prefer, enrolling with CPA or taking courses at university?
I got enrolled in YORK UNIVERSITY for ADVANCED PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING, i want to know about how it will help me to become a CPA , can i get the details please ? Thank you:)
Hi Rushangi, thanks for your comment. York University is great, I had a couple friends that graduated from there. You can email me at shumzcpa@gmail.com if you want to give me more details about your program and we can discuss what your CPA journey look like.
If I clear US CPA course after becoming canadian resident, to which program of cpa Canada I will be eligible to take or writing CFE will suffice? Please reply. Thanks in advance
Not sure how the transition from education from into to Canada is like. But I would say that you can first start with the CPA preparatory courses to fulfill the minimum entrance requirement, since you probably don't have the 120 credit hours they want. TO get more details about this step, I would say to contact the provincial CPA to get more details.
Yes, you will have to contact CPA Canada and then there is probably an exam to do. I know for CPAs in Canada, to get a CPA US, we need to do an exam too, so I would imagine the process to be similar? Please see the link I found, hope it helps. Best would be to email or call CPA Canada. www.cpacanada.ca/en/become-a-cpa/international-credential-recognition/international-recognition-agreements/international-members-seeking-canadian-cpa/us-cpas-seeking-canadian-cpa

I have one doubt about whether which option would be better
1. Doing cpa directly with cpa Ontario or
2. Doing some accredited courses

I just wanted to know if I have completed my diploma in accounting of 2.5 or 3 years am I eligible for prep program of CPA ?
What is scope and salary of CPA in Canada?
Hi.. I completed my bcom in business in Southafrica. do i qualify for cpa prepatory course?
How do I check?
You can email the CPA province you want to register with.

You will need to register with your provincial CPA and send them your transcript. Then they will let you know if you can start at Core 1.
Then, What is the duration of this course after the undergraduate course?
Minimum time???🙏🙏🙏
