Awesome Diag👍 Bro what were the challenges with Autel, when writing the donor DME's ISN on the FRM & CAS modules Also, plz consider filming the process of programming donor unit's on bench, it will help many sub's worldwide😉 Stay Safe👍
Please help me I have an e90 2011 328i I went through the water I turned off the car does not boil nor the glass cleaners do not work maybe you can help me what can be
Yup, I run into this all the time here in Portland, Oregon. I use autohex 2 to read the ISN and transfer to a used good known DME and then code / program so the VIN transfers. New DME is spendy!
A small soda blaster nozzle can be very handy for cleaning corrosion off of connectors with relative ease. I use baking soda in one and it works great. Made by airboy who make air blow guns (for shop air blowing).
That sounds like replacing an entire wiring harness from the DMV? As I said previously you can use this corrosion cleaner in the connectors and on the DME itself and you will not believe just by using a toothbrush or a connector probe that's used for cleaning connectors how quickly this will clean that up in a matter of minutes versus spending hundreds of dollars on a DMV and a whole wiring harness? That unit is supposed to be covered with a weatherproof seal to begin with? What is the deal with that?
I've come across a product it's good at dissolving rust and corrosion and it's still used in coffee makers believe it or not and soon a small bottle you can get at the grocery store but this stuff works better than anything that I've ever found on the market today and it's inexpensive, a little bit of that on a on an old toothbrush and you will not believe what ends up happening with your electronic connections almost like brand new, and then you blow it out with some compressed air in your finished
No, you're not finished. The dme was completely flooded. Would you simply clean off corrosion from a circuit board then hands it back to the customer and warranty your work for 3 years/36k miles?
Mario, you are AWESOME always good approach and logic to get the job done only if you took the time and showed ur viewer how did you finished the coding/programming the the DME and the tool u used and would be very helpful to the links where to get them as always good job and thank you for sharing ur knowledge brotha. cheeeeers from Ontario/Canada
If they would just set the DME facing down with the connectors. its obvious that design would have problems. I bet every one of those with that design is going to have them same issue. I guess its their way of selling ecms and wiring harnesses forever. Do most bmw's have the ecm/dme in the same location and facing up like that? It will be the first place I check on anymore bmws.
literally had an a4 b6 2.0 na today with water damage in the pcm connector. caused coil control to be shorted to the injector control circuit because they are on the same connector, shitty design to begin with. coil controi is like 10% duty cycle while injector control is 80+. caused a burndown of couple of cyl3 coils because on time was so high. thorough pcm connector cleaning took care of the issue.
Greetings from Ireland, new to the channel great vid as per all of your other vids I’ve watched so far, this car looks like it suffered from as we used to call it in my last job, it was suffering from German leaves.....! We used to service a shed load of 1 and 3 series and always clean out the drains of the leaves as they could cause rain water going where you don’t want it too....!
How good are you with Mercedes can diagnoses? I have a 2014 Vito 2.2 diesel van that has no can signal at pin 6/14 at dl16 with Pico scope until I disconnect fuel pump module then I’m only getting can low signal and can appears to be mirroring can low but with only a very low voltage swing. I’m only new to using the scope, I’ve started getting into scoping since moving to the local JLR dealership as there electric’s are not the greatest even from new ! We run across communication issues on vehicles with only a few thousand kilometres on the clock ....! Interesting but head melting at the same time 😡
Ha yeah i hadn’t watched the whole video before I posted that 😂 The only reason that stuck out to me is that I recently did a valve cover gasket on my e93 N52. That cover looked very important lol
Mario brother! Great video! Thanks for sharing! The cloning modules (if that’s the correct term) and all that is on a whole other level for me. Great stuff bro!
I know i tried it with the drive pro, and for some reason it just wouldn't work. It doesn't exactly spell it out but my guess would be an issue with the isn change.
Thank you for a conclusion on your video and Diagnostics I was kind of confused why you kept trying to laugh all the way through dictating your video? That makes me feel that you're not serious about the work that you're doing?
It would have been interesting to see , if you would have just cleaned the female and the male terminals and then tried to start it up! I have a feeling it would have been fine. Why didn't you try that?
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics Thanks Mario, I later remembered that you did say you opened the case and found some water! I'm glad you tried it ; it just seemed to tempting not to try. Always enjoy your methods/channel.
What is your technique when cleaning corroded connectors like that ? Such as do you have a trustable spray you like to use ? Thank you for the content , really liking this channel .
There are diamond tipped connection cleaners and also you can use either de-oxit or winzer to clean out, followed by stabilant 22a to promote conduction after the cleaning
I used to work with a guy who's teeth looked worse than those DME pins. Not kidding. That wasn't even the bad part-- it was the breath from the dying teeth. If CRC made tooth paste, I would have gotten him a can for Christmas. Thank you for another superb video! Was cool to hear the Diagnose Dan shout-out! He seems like a great guy. Maybe when tbe virus passes you can invite him to the Super Mario Miami Mega Mansion Magnificent pool party?

One of the best teachers I have come across
thank for sharing
Mario we can see your tonsils. lol 😂. Good find. Stay safe
Very common nice video
Todavía estoy esperando los subtítulos en español 👍

make sure you clean those drains before you put another one in.
Yes sir! Car is long gone and yes those drains were cleaned out. Good tip 👍
Wow talk about water intrusion! What about a gallon of DeOxit?
🤣🤣🤣
Mario los subtítulos en español 🛠

i wanted to see the power and ground and comm wires hooked up and check out communication...
Man!!,Ur excellent 👌

12:19 something in the cabin air inlet moved
Good eye
That was the noise Mario was talking about in the glove box. I notice it also.
Wait until they fly. Lol it's the worst mistake man ever did was put a computer in a car.

There's way too many reasons for no communication. I think your going to have BMW software
There are some sloppy mechanics out there! Forgetting to put stuff back. So irritating.

Easy to take apart and clean. Most of the time it will work again.
This is why you should always clear your water drains, seals/covers, the trays, & if you have a sunroof.
Yep lol also helps to actually have a choice installed on the box too 😆😆
My car also cranks, but doesn't start. Not fire...I have to check dme. I saw the video well.Thank you...^^
Wow... that's extremely bad! Quick & dirty here. Lol
Thank you Mario. Good job again. Have a blessed and safe week to you and your family.
Thanks for sharing buddy.

I have a 97 528 I no Start No Crank. Any advice on where to look for the ECU Or ECM
Love that scanner you got, good job on the diagnostic work!
Nice job Mario. Thank you
What could 2ACC code mean for a 2008 328xi n51 e90
Mercedes turns the fan to full blast because there’s a separate device from the ECU for the thermal managing. In BMW, the DME does all this together.
Awesome diagnosis, thanks for sharing!
Did you look at the video at 12:22 for whatever reason the Recirculation door opens up🤔
Yep lol, don't know why though 😆
Super Mario Diagnostics it was at the very moment that you disconnect the computer
How much would something like this cost bro?
Hi bro ,, my car same porblm,, what can I doo now
También es válido que nos toquen cosas "sencillas" Mario. Para no cansar demasiado el cerebro jeje Saludos Bro.!!!
Wow. You did it the right way. Evidence led you to the issue.
Great video super Mario 👍

Is there a channel for the remapping part?
Isn’t there a cream plastic weather cover supposed to be on top of that DME??
Yes it was missing. We got the customer a new one

euro classics.fish bowls
nice job
🙌🏼👍
We've had loads of these. Really shit design from BMW putting their DDE/DME inside a washing up bowl.
Thats why every time I see leaves I always vacuum them up.
Mario that is a mess an expensive one at that. Thanks for the advice and sharing. Stay safe and well 😊
Nice !
Good job Mario.
You're amazing man.
Are u in Phoenix
No, Miami FL
Great job man, love your channel.!
Thank you very much!
Autologic for BMW is the must.
It won't change the isn number in the cas or vin though
@@SuperMarioDiagnostics Not sure, but does the replace DME procedure on Autologic actually should take care of that?
