Thanks for making such a comprehensive tutorial, and explaining each step. I often watch tutorials where you mindlessly follow, and don't learn about what each of the commands are doing. It was really helpful to have you breakdown what was happening each step of the way.
If we want to stretch a hole through this right in the center how would we do that ? When I create a base geometry of a cuboid with a tubular perforation in it the points at the perforation also get considered as anchors giving not so great results . I the base geometry made is continuous and is only open at points intended to be anchored.
Hi there, thanks for sharing! I tried to use the trick of connecting mesh on two compound surfaces (1st surface is done by loft, 2nd surface is to tangent match 1st surface), but it doesn't work. Seems the trick only works for simple surface, do you have other solution?
couldnt we just use the equalize option on mesh surface component??? I am just curious, bc I didnt actually get the part using dimensions and find the accurate UV division
In this Grasshopper kangaroo tutorial, we are going to use Kangaroo's Live Physics engine to simulate a simple soap film mesh form. First, we are going to start with a box and then use the naked edges to define the fixed vertices. Finally, we will relax the mesh by using Soap film combined with Mesh edges as springs. Though couple of your tips were very helpful, i see you used the mesh edge lengths. (facepalm) i keep getting a very "jittery" mesh when i use the soap film and i came to see if there was a solution for that...
You have to play with the strengths to get a good result. Relative to your geometry and the dimensions you have used you can get a jittery mesh which is normal.

I guess Quad Remesh would work great as well... I haven't tried though.
