Howard Carroll told me that when The Birds did their West Coast run, they’d stay at the Dunbar Hotel in Los Angeles, and whenever they arrived there would be 500 women waiting and crowding the lobby just to see what they were wearing. These outfits surely knocked them off their feet. Even the conservative James B Davis is wearing bell bottoms with platform shoes. The Birds were hip, although I’d say Ira Tucker’s wardrobe needed some work.
Just like the record tuck had a very unique range, he could adjust his voice and sing it in the same range Paul owens sung it in back from 20 years later and perform if like they did in 1952 is mind blowing!!!!!
The voices are wonderful. But the outfits are epic🤣😂🤣
