Great review, thank you! Thank you for showing everything and for hitting all the main points! This is my type of bag. I agree with you on everything. I want something edgy, different, and low key without everyone knowing right away it’s Chanel. I love the chains and the different ways of wearing them. I have never seen anyone in real life wearing this bag and so I’m excited to have something different that I love.

I totally agree with you o the pros and cons but still love the bag. And as you said, it is an edgy bag I got the exact same bag and chose that size because it looks great on me.

Thanks for this review, I love this bag. I just don't know if it will fit my essentials which are a mini Pochette, a small wallet similar to your longchamp wallet, phone and LV key holder. I'd also like to get a couple of passports in for when I travel. Please can you let me know if they fit. Thanks. 💕

The Gabrielle is one of my least fussy bags to store, I just store it upright with all the chains sitting on top in a beautiful mess 😉

Thank you so much for the review. This bag (this size and this colour!)has been sitting on my wishlist for a while. I really love the fact that they mix and match different colours for the chain, and the vintage leather effect of the body. However,as you mentioned that it doesn't have the "feet" , so I'm kinda worried about the wear and tear and kept holding back on getting it. But it looks so gorgeous and chic when you demonstrated with black outfit, and I think it will go really well with other simple colours like white-t or a grey blazer, etc. By seeing your video today, I think I'll reconsider it. It's just so stunning that I can't move my eyes away from it.🙈 Thank you for sharing with us in such details~

Yes you can adjust the strap, I did and the ending doesn’t stick out anymore. Unlike the boy, this bag has more holes so you can adjust. The boy only has 2 and can’t adjust much.

thank you for this! i am only 5' tall and just got the small gabby like yours and couldn't figure out how to wear it. I have larger bust so it's hard to wear it with the 2 straps, 1 across each shoulder but i didn't think about twisting the straps. love that idea! I almost returned the bag lol but your idea made me keep it. Could you recommend something to keep the base scratch free???? thakn you so much!!!! xoxo
Keeping the base scratch free is a matter of habits so just be more aware in general when putting the bag down to not slide it, don't put it down on the floor or any hard surfaces too quickly and always store on top of a fabric material.

Hi, Amy. Thank you for your honest and detailed review. It really works and now my desire for this bag has become 50/50. I'm 155 cm tall and do I look okay with the medium size of Hobo bag? The medium size accomodate many contents? How do you recommend?
The medium size is significantly bigger and bulkier. But it fits items very easily and readily. I am 162 cm tall and I find the medium border line too big but I do recommend it if the small is too restrict for you.
That's a very impressive review. I have to be honest, because of you, LVLoverCC and Minks4All, now I own a number of designer handbags, LV, Chloe and Celine. Now you guys sort of move away from LV and toward Chanel. I have to admit, Chanel bags are more classic and elegant. Maybe in the future I will think about owning one piece.

In Vancouver, there is only one Chanel boutique and our boutique is on a first come first serve basis so there was no waitlist per se. I happen to be asking for it at the same time as the new shipment came in. But my SA also knew that I was after one, so I kept checking with her periodically for a period of time :)

I purchased them at the same time as my Chanel Gabrielle which was around end of March. I believe they are a classic style so they will be back here and there.

Ohhhhh that's a hard one! I think I would go for coco handle if I need more room in my bag but I think the M/L is super classic though!

It really depends on your budget and what use you have for the bag. Generally, I recommend getting a classic as your first bag but some seasonal ones are also a good choice. Let me discuss more in my following Q&A (I already filmed my next one) but for now, i'd say any Classic Flaps, Coco handle, Mini flaps, or even WOC are great choices.
Would you recommend the Gabrielle in croc leather?
I would because the strap is too good! But it is heavier than the classic version for sure.

This is the mini or smallest size they offer (not the phone holder version though).

You've got an eye for fashion & it has inspired some of my looks/purchases in the past.

I love the coco handle and I tried my friends Small size Coco, it's super spacious, looks awesome hand held and cross body on me and has a great price point for what you get. Very classic looking and definitely a great choice for Chanel. :)

I believe they are thinner than the classics with the jumbo size being the thickest

I have several bags with chain strap. They are not well functioning as they are heavy on the shoulder. They are trendy and for occasional use. They're not comfortable for all day or travel. But beautiful though.
They're definitely more for special occasions, and agree I wouldn't travel with lambskin anyway 😉
