I really enjoy your channel and your enthusiasm for our hobby and your care and compassion for the world as a whole. I have never zoomed before but I am wanting to spread my wings on socials so as to interact with other stitchers. No one I know stitches or truly gets how obsessed I am with the hobby, lol. Vegt: the v.d. stands for "van de", which in English means: "from the". My name is Marion van de Sande, from the sands (the sand grounds). Vegt is the name of a river in the northern part of the Netherlands, these days called the Vecht. Oh, Sarah! You made me laugh until I cried over whether you had enough fabric for your tiny finish. Because (drum roll) as I watched, I was stitching a small (80 x 59) on a full width of linen! I guess I'm just too terrified to cut - until I've reached the corners, and can be confident that I have enough fabric - and aren't cutting too much or too little. Isn't it funny how alike so many of us are - from one side of the world to the other.

I confess, I love all you do -- and share -- and care about. Thanks! (Plus, I sing along to the opening blues number your talented hubby wrote and sings. Thanks to him, too.) Now about that Brenda Gervais gal with the never-ending dress: if you didn't devote '2 threads a day' to her, you'd never get her finished!! So don't feel guilty! Now then, *how long are your 'threads'*? 18 inches? Longer? Shorter? Just curious. As for the 'highlight' in the fruit (that's what a painter would call it), do what pleases you. You might like the lighter pink stitch in those tiny spots -- but to test it, don't do just one. Do 3 close together and then step back from it to see the effect. I think that will give you a more accurate reading. Just my humble opinion, of course. Thanks!

Because of my holiday in France, I'm only watching this floss tube today. You always bring a smile on my face. About the little Dutch sampler from Jenny v.d. Vegt: the v.d. stands for "van de", which in English means: "from the". My name is Marion van de Sande, from the sands (the sand grounds). Vegt is the name of a river in the northern part of the Netherlands, these days called the Vecht. Around the city Zwolle there have lived and still live lots of families van de Vegt (from the -river- Vegt). Just a little information which I happen to know because I am Dutch.

Because (drum roll) as I watched, I was stitching a small (80 x 59) on a full width of linen!
I guess I'm just too terrified to cut - until I've reached the corners, and can be confident that I have enough fabric - and aren't cutting too much or too little.

I confess, I love all you do -- and share -- and care about. Thanks! (Plus, I sing along to the opening blues number your talented hubby wrote and sings. Thanks to him, too.) Now about that Brenda Gervais gal with the never-ending dress: if you didn't devote '2 threads a day' to her, you'd never get her finished!! So don't feel guilty! Now then, *how long are your 'threads'*? 18 inches? Longer? Shorter? Just curious.
As for the 'highlight' in the fruit (that's what a painter would call it), do what pleases you. You might like the lighter pink stitch in those tiny spots -- but to test it, don't do just one. Do 3 close together and then step back from it to see the effect. I think that will give you a more accurate reading. Just my humble opinion, of course. Thanks!
