My mom was a goth and part of the punk scene, in high school. Some of the clothes she wore were items she made herself, and she even dyed her hair jet black, which faded to pink, and then faded to white.
I grew up in a loving household with amazing parents. But what didn't click for me until years after mom's death was the fact that her constant visits to the doctor for migraine shots and being "out of it" a lot of the time, was a clear indicator she was addicted to the prescription meds. She had a problem and I never noticed it growing up until I look back on it and realize "woah". She was still a kind, loving, wonderful mother. I miss her and dad so much.
My dad was awful; every few years another half sibling comes out the woodwork, guy has kids with 5+ women, he lived in Thailand for 2+ years so I wouldn't be surprised if I have a half sibling out there too 😂. He was a major drug dealer, was imprisoned in Thailand for stealing a boat whilst wasted then they booted him out, and rightly so. There is undoubtedly lots of stuff we don't know about which he got up to.
I didn't learn my dad was a pothead as a young adult before I was born until I was in my 20s.😂
I didnt know my adoptive parents divorced when I was 16, I knew they had separated, but I found out yesterday they had divorced in 2019. they split in 2017.
“Acid flashback”lmao
Omg. Mötley Crüe 💀
Spent my whole life believing my dad was a drug dealer that was in prison, then i found out he wasnt my biological father when i was 15 and my real dad had recently died. Never got to meet him or spend time with him. His grave is in town but ive never gone. I dont even know if he knew i existed

Story was insane and I think more people should acknowledge it, I mean, good thing for a healthy sexual relationship, right, but also… what a way to find out!
