I really hear you about reading for enjoyment vs. reading for the channel. I can feel the pull of booktube to make me read things I don't particularly want to just so I can fit in, and it's a no go for me.

Yes the pull is strong, but i think being a small booktuber means we have more freedom to do and say whatever the hell we want 🤣 The aftermath of me trying to read things I don't want to has been chronically damaging, still recovering and we're into December. Maybe next time you want to read out of your comfort zone, try tackling just one book at a time and surround it with a bunch of other books that you're really excited to read?
