War rules and treaties be like:
    - Let's have rules for war.
    - Let's break them if we are losing.
    - Let's make rules again after we have won.

people forget that the training of a single pilot for example, can cost several million dollars, and has a long training time. pilots are the most difficult part of a fighter to replace. this is the same for most military roles.

Yeah, training pilots from scratch takes time. Training an experienced pilot to operate a new/different aircraft takes a lot less time. The F-16 needs a fixed runway and an army of specialists to get it ready and to keep it operational. There is not a single safe airport left in Ukraine, whether military or civilian. Then she also faces off against an opponent who can also fly and also has a fully functioning anti-aircraft system. In the end it will end up just like the supposed "game changers" Leopard II, Bradley, AMX-10 or Striker.

@@mathewvanostin7118, almost everything that you written here is incorrect.
Ukraine does not have a massive air power; it started the war with a small fleet of ~100 combat aircraft many of which have subsequently been lost.
The Ukrainian Air Force fleet was inherented from the Soviet Union 32 years ago not from Russia during the previous 25 years.
The Russians had a 10:1 advantage against Ukraine in February of 2022 but despite this they didn't destroy the Ukrainian Air Force within 3 months. The Russian Air Force has failed to destroy the Ukrainian Air Force after 18-months due to a combination of corruption and next-level incompetence.
Everyone knows that Ukraine is not in the Middle East.
Everyone is aware that the Ukrainians are "smart", this has been on display as they have found clever ways to defeat their much larger invader on the battlefield.
Ukraine’s supporters will continue to provide it with the tools that will help them to remove the Russian Zombies Army from every kilometer of Ukrainian territory.

And it was all good cause big majority of soviet military industries were in russia. So ukraine was dependant on russia to continue selling them new equipement and ammo to maintain everything. So russia liked the fact ukraine was dependant on them to maintain majority of everything. And back in 1991-2014 they were best friends before the usa sponsored coup to try to make it nato and not a russia allie

So true. If Jewish Nazi Zelensky had listened to Trump and his genius friend Comrade KGB Col Putin's wisdom & brotherly advice and hadn't been armed twisted to start the war against Russia, by joining up with aggressive NATO --- an action that put Russia's peace loving nature & existence into a dangerous situation --- none of this would have happened.
Everybody knows, Russia and China are, for example, the good guys; at least they are never aggressie or are colonial powers like the US and Western European countries.
Russia and China came into being, from the very beginning, as big and wise, tolerant, freedom loving, and peaceful as they are today.
It's the aggressive West who has steadily encroached against Russia, putting her 11 time zone land and 6,000 thermonuclear in danger.... that emboldened Ukraine to start this war of aggression against Russia.... But it's not just Ukraine; Finland, Norway, Sweden, Moldova, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland.... ALL these aggress neighbors want to see Russian collapse...
Russia, on the other hand, merely and GENTLY asked for small "buffering" acres --- from these former East Bloc provinces of the USSR ---- to add to her tenuous, 11 time zone land, to make sure it is a bit safer from the aggressive West...

Russia undertook basically suicidal attacks against Territorial Defense Force units to take a few settlements up north with a total population of around 60 people in an attempt to draw away Ukrainian troops from the South, then proceeded to get blasted and pushed back to the river. A situation not much different than the sacrifice of the Russian 155th Naval Infantry Brigade at Vuhledar. Anyone who thinks Russia is doing anything noteworthy north is out of their minds.
And Ukraine is shaping the battles in the South to their favor, they're securing the high ground around important settlements and roads, while bringing up engineering vehicles to clear minefields and destroying bridges, logistic hubs and C3 centers in the rear with GMLRS and Stormshadow/SCALP missiles. A situation not much different than what happened in Kherson, where the Russian proudly boasted about "defeating" the Kherson Counter-Offensive multiple times as they "strategically withdrew to more favorable positions", until suddenly, and for "no apparent reason" the Ukrainians achieved a breakthrough, then the Russians put their tail between their legs and ran away to the other side of the Dnipro.

It's not a silver bullet, but each introduction of something new has changed the battlefield. Especially HIMARS forced the Russians to move many HQs and ammo dumps out of HIMARS range. Storm Shadow also makes it quite a lot worse to be at an ammo dump or HQ.
Russia doesn't have that many S400 available, but S300 will also do the job. F-16 can probably force the Ka-52 back from the frontline though, at least make it much more high risk to use them.

However, they can both handle modern weapons systems and electronics that MIG-29 and T-72 cannot.
Dropping cluster bombs on minefields and trenches is not the same as dropping them on civilians.
