    who has somehow missed (super baffling) that the reason for this video’s existence was to show anyone potentially throwing $ into a black hole of what this particular product does for those of us with dark unbleached hair. It’s actually a pretty big deal that people are out there making videos this helpful. There are temporary and semi permanent products that do in fact work on dark hair. the problem is that they are few. Thanks for trying so we don’t have to ❤

    Hey guys! I wanted to give a little update. After I posted my video, XMONDO reached out to me about my review. They did confirm that on dark hair that the product would only last temporarily and just wash off. I thought it was cool that they took the time to watch my video and reach out. I wanted to pass this on to you guys as well so you know that if you do try to use this product on your hair and you have dark hair, it definitely will only last a couple washes. I thought it was really cool that they watched my video and reached out to me and I wanted to share with you what they said. If you have any questions, please leave it in the comments and I will give you an answer.
    Helpful Tip: If you have staining on your skin from using hair color, try using a cleansing balm to help move the majority of the staining,
    Thanks again for watching and I will see you at the next one!

    Its a semi-permanent dye so its meant to wash off after a few washes + you would need lighter hair for it last a bit longer

      For sure! Most the time I personally get a month or two out of other products I’ve tried but this one was in just a few washes. I spoke with a rep at Xmondo and they confirmed their product will wash out in a few washes if on unbleached and lighter colored hair.
      It’s a great product if you want just a temporary color for a little bit!
      Thanks for watching 😊

      Exactly, it is a color deposit conditioner and not semi or demi permanent. If you want more than a few days you do not wash daily, but it still will be gone fairly quick unless you use semi or demi (or full) permanent.

    I think it’s funny you said it came out in 5 washes because that’s the exact number he said would get it out of dark hair. I might try it on my brown hair, but I’m thinking about lightening with Sun In or something similar

    It did look very beautiful in your hair! I used the slate gray and it lasted about 8 washes. Honestly that's expected since its not permanent. Also if you have short hair you can get a few uses out of the jar plus it doesn't damage your hair so there are more positive things to be said than there are negative! Thank you for the review! I was going to put blue or purple in my hair next so this was helpful!😊

    Great review! Thank you for testing it on your hair. I heard that the colour sticks longer if your hair is dry, damaged and more porous. I guess the good news is that your hair is very healthy :)

    Up close it looked beautiful, and I bet in the sunlight it’s really pretty. If you want it to last longer you have to wash your hair with a color depositing shampoo and conditioner. Use one the same color of the XMondo temporary dye. I think Brad has started to produce a line of them.

    Thank you for doing this for us. I also have dark hair and found this very well done and structured.

    I was told by a hairdresser that the more conditioning semi-permanent colors (which XMondo is) wash out more quickly. I have virgin (mostly grey) hair and use Adore along with a color deposit shampoo in between colorings. It's still just a tint, and in my case reminds me of those light, water-based wood stains that seem to lay on a tint, but the wood shows through. I actually like it.

    I tried the super purple, my hair is almost your darkness. Mine lasted for about three washes, did cover the gray. I was told could be the hard water. I didn’t have much luck with salon color highlighting, which also washed out. I still use the purple when my colored hair fades, I can put some purple in for fun for a few days, before I have to touch up the roots. Thanks for your video.

    I mean people should know without bleach that you won’t see the results like you think if your hair dark just saying it will still turn out just not as much think it’s would So hope no blames the brand because of that
    All I got say not going off on anyone or claiming anyone is doing so I just putting it out In general

      The whole point of the video was to show everyone what it does on dark nonbleached hair.. did you not see that throughout its description and the entirety of the video?? Are you ok?

    In one of his videos he posted, he said it usually washes out after 5 washes. He also recommended using color preserver shampoo/conditioner.

    I think that if your hair was a bit bleached/dmged it would've lasted longer. I mean by that, that your hair is too healthy and its porosity is not high enough to let the color to enter a bit even though it is not a demi perm.

  • @LeahNicoleTarot
    @LeahNicoleTarot Рік тому +1

    It’s not meant to last it’s semi permanent for a reason also he mentioned u need a color shampoo to make the color last longer but it’s last after 4 to 6 washes as it’s not permanent .. it’s very beautiful though and ur supposed to wash it with another product he has cause the color has to bond to something porous hair meaning color treated hair so it’s done it’s job

    Was debating trying Xmondo but kept seeing reviews on their site complaining about it washing out after 1 or 2 washes. Think I'll stick with Artic Fox. Not sure if you've tried Lunar Tides yet, but I had a horrible experience with it. The color showed up fine, but it stained EVERYTHING!!! Took me scrubbing my face, neck, and ears 6 times to get it off, and I always coat my hairline, ears, and neck with Vaseline to keep the dye off!!! Also bled like crazy and stained the tub on its first wash. Just a heads up😂

      @bitsofbhavika  Рік тому

      Thanks for the heads up! I haven't decided on what to try next but I will keep it in mind. I don't know if this will help in the future but I find using a cleansing balm helps with removing staining on the skin (at least for the ones that I have tried so far).

    I’m just curious why it wouldnt stay in your hair just as long. I can understand why the color won’t show as vibrant but it should stay as long as it would on someone with lighter brown hair..

    • @joziesundstrom7660
      @joziesundstrom7660 Рік тому +1

      It's because when your hair is healthy, it still is filled with its pigment molecules. When you bleach your hair, what it's doing is opening the hair cuticle, and stripping all the pigment out and it washes right out of the cuticle. So when you put any kind of dye onto bleached hair, it gets sucked into the cuticle and lasts longer. But since non bleached hair has its pigment, the color can only sit on top, and cannot push deeper into the cuticle

    Question. What if i wanted the color to show a bit more but i never bleached my hair and never want to bleach my hair, should i mix developer with the hair color?

    • @bitsofbhavika
      @bitsofbhavika  Рік тому +1

      Hi! I wouldn’t recommend mixing developer into semi permanent hair colors. From my research in the past, I’ve read that you shouldn’t do that with semi permanent hair color. If you’re looking for a product that’ll show more in your hair, I’d recommend looking at another brand. Also, I would recommend that you look up more on it just so you know what’s best for your hair and what you are trying to achieve. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching and for the question 🖤
