Just bought my first car a week ago and got it delivered to me yesterday it’s this 2018 Toyota Corolla LE in Black!!! I love it sooooooo much so far has everything I was looking for in a first car and more!!!! I’m pretty nervous while driving seen as I’m new to the road but omg!!! This car makes me feel like I’ve been driving forever the way how it’s comfortable and extremely reliable!! Came here to learn more so I can make my self even more comfortable while driving thank you! 💯💯💯
How the car?
I like it too, very reliable and lexus look to it
How much did it cost
You're first car was a 2018 Toyota my first car was a 2006 Dodge caravan although I did trade something to get it I didn't get a really nice car until I got a real nice job and until I worked for 3 years
Just bought a white one today, loving going from a 96 to a recent car, and this car is great soo far
Almost 3 years later I am still driving mine. 47,414 miles on it so far. LOVE how it drives. The steering is smooth as butter and you can lowkey whip it around and pass people no problem. Its comfortable too. NO PROBLEMS SO FAR 🙏🏻
Update: 49,642 miles! Lol
Hey have you taken in on the highway? Hows does it drive long distances?
Update, 56,273 miles!
@@IK7. Yes I have. Its definitely comfortable. Easy to drive. It has no complications. It doesn't make your back tired, the seat is cushioned correctly as well.
@@gilbertherrera8477 Great to hear!
Bought my LE in May 2018 and already put 21k miles on it. I used to drive accords and civics but now I’m a Toyota person! Absolutely love the car and the reliability.
4 years later how did it hold up?
@@darkathmanson dude! 116,000 miles into it. I use the car for EVERYTHING. This winter we got over 700 inches of snow and I used the car every weekend to go skiing. With chains on, the car is unstoppable. I would be driving on nothing but snow and ice but the car just eats the road up. Love it!
Got this car as my first official car ! Love it and in black never thought how I feel about black but looking at it now it’s amazing ! And exactly that same layout inside 🔥
"Lets hit the panic button" fumbles for volume key
Just bought it, and I love love the car, lots of safety features 😍 it saves me gas from going to work and school. It’s awesome 👏🏾
I know people say this car isn’t that good, but sense I have my own opinions, I can say... THIS CAR IS AWESOME!
TCOR they’re dumb if they disagree with you tbh
I have the ‘18 LE in silver.
Great car..
by far the best gen Corolla (looks wise)
So glad it still offers a CD player!
I have this same car lol. Literally same exterior, interior, and trim level. I named her Pepperann :) Traded in my base model 2016 Kia Rio LX and I could not be happier! Everything seems like such an upgrade coming from my Rio lol From the DRL, to the vanity mirrors, interior map lights, I was hype! Haha. The Toyota Safety Sense is also a sweet deal considering it comes standard on all Toyotas, regardless of trim level.
Did you name it after the cartoon? If so, very cool.
Just bought this car last week!!! And I love it!!!! I have the black one.
Michael Cox me too I fucking love it!!!
Same here! I have a silver ‘18 LE…
Super easy to mod too
(2018 LE) This is my first car and so far I've tested the hell out of it. I ran into a curb so bad that I broke the passenger side front wheel, tire, strut among other components that got fixed. It ate a branch on the way to a fishing spot while driving in some deep sand. I also have done drifting in it when the roads were wet. Overall I've done all the regular maintenance and repairs on the vehicle and it has not failed me in 3 years.
I love the fact that LED headlights are standard
Can’t see for shit at night useless just blinds other drivers.
However, the SE had dual headlights which are automatic high beams and also led lights down the side of the bumper not on the LE. The Corolla has some of the brightest headlights on a compact car
michael cordell I can see just fine heads and shoulders better then any halogen lights. And the auto high beams are amazing
I have a 2010 Corolla. It's been a good car. Until recently, the only things I've had to get is oil changes and a battery. I bought it used. Before that I had a 1993 4Runner. I'm hoping to get the 2018 SE. I'm okay with buying used cars, lol. I'm hoping my new car will last a long, long time.
How is your car ?
Best car I've never owned.
I have the same car ! same year and everything and i love my Corolla ! nice review man.
Thank you for such a wonderful overview ! Proud camry owner
Such a great looking car. Very lexus style grill. I had mine 2 years now while its not too fun to drive which makes some enthusiasts hate it but this is a excellent value car that will give you so much miles of driving. I been having a corolla since 2008
Just got mine today ! Super excited to use it as my daily 🙏
thanks Mike , I didn't go farther enough on your page about the CHR , sorry about that , and I do enjoy your videos and info
I love 💕 Toyota Corolla 🚘
I love 💕💕Toyota Camry 🚘
Y yo te quiero 😍
I'm mostly glad that the back seat drivers will be comfortable
3:59
Those seat colors are so nice
This is the basic edition. Most people who want a A to B car, will buy this model. If you want a more fun and sportier version buy the XSE version. It has Sport mode, nice aluminum wheels , more features, etc.
ELPJM09 in actuallyity it they all have sport mode the xse has a special button next to the tracktion control button
It’s the same shitty car
michael cordell that's your opinion
Just bought this as my first car. I found it used with 30k miles like new for $15.8k but with tax and insurance it came out to $19k
Thats 4k in taxes and fees damn
I got the 2018 silver corolla LE with 40k miles from hertz car sales in Minnesota, it was approximately 12,500 after taxes & registration, in iowa it was worth 17k, I saved tons of money !! I'm sorry but you paid too much !
@@drkoko9604 lmao yea I definitely got bamboozled, but I also live in California so it seems we overprice everything
I bought my ‘18 LE 4 years ago for $19k new…. Car is still going strong. 💪🏼 go Toyota
Why does the startup sound like a pentastar engine 🤣. I love how they brought the old beep back from the 2009-2013 corollas ! So much nicer and less annoying then the microwave beep 🤣
I’m going buy tomorrow for sure I will post when I got it
I just got this in Barcelona red and it is really nice to drive all cars when new are nice but for the price this is a bargain compared to other brands on the market today I save money on gas and this car runs real fast as if this was a 6 cylinders cool features and the standard daylights can't say much more just a nice car
Nice review just bought this car yesterday
I got it used for 12 grand since my Prius got totaled since the safety features weren't working after coming from the shop, thank God I have the gap insurance. Good car even though it lacks on features but for having Bluetooth is all I need.
Red looks pretty nice on this car, how does it look in person.
Awesome toyota still has a cd player on new cars👍👍
Good, thank you for review and your time spent.
love the video. Very helpful!
Dam 30 City/40 highway it's up there with the prius
I can't believe thats a base model, cus there are a lot of feature in that corolla.
I own the XSE and love it!
These are great cars. I've had two. I really miss my 2010. I really hate, HATE CVTs. I wish Toyota would make these more fun to drive. But I get it, it's not for fun, mostly for reliability which is why I've had two, lol. Great gas mileage I'm getting atleast 31mpg. Love all the tech even w/base model but my goodness, the most boring thing to drive ever. 😭
KayleUknow that'll probably be awhile from now right? I mean this design is still fairly new. And I think it looks great just slow and boring.
acosby20 great gas mileage 31?? I consistently get 33 34 combined in my 17 Elantra, and it has a smooth slick 6 speed automatic! ! just got back from trip to Vegas 80 mph, turning 2,500 rpm. nice.
Steve Franklin sounds great. I have been thinking about the Elantra. I could probably get more but the way I drive(flooring it sometimes by mistake), I'm happy with 31. I like the look of the Elantra too!
acosby20 had mine 15 months, 20.000 miles. Has been excellent so far, love automatic transmission. cvt replacement costs will be around 10.000 dollars! car killer repair. automatic transmission rebuild averages around 4000, 4500. big difference. yeah cvt sucks otherwise, I have nothing against a Toyota . I had one once a celica, loved that car.
Steve Franklin I always hear people say that CVT is cheaper in the long run than a "regular" transmission. Such a lie. There's no way it can be. Thanks for your feedback! I am so ready for a car without a cvt.
Great overview! Could you add the Subaru Impreza hatch to your list?! That would be awesome. As always, love your videos! :)
i just bought the new Impreza.
This car gets me all the ladies
sam furby yea I’m sure you do
Richard W this is facts girls love my Rolla lol
Yea girls say they like my car but i doubt itll help you pick up ladies but it looks prety good
Nice looking car. I either will buy a Corolla or a Soul. I'm coming from a truck, I need a good daily driver. I'm tired of putting 100 miles a day on my Ranger.
Which one did you end up getting?
Good video! Ty
Nice video! When do you think the Crosstrek video will be out? Seriously cannot wait for it!
Hopefully ill get a chance to film it in the next week or so.
Northern Virginia Dashcam can't wait for that!
I don’t know about y’all but a CD player is fine with me
Still use it.
Agreed. Hard to find now.
I have the white one with 30k miles on it i love it
Hey Mike, I have been in the market for a Corolla xle is there anyway u could please review one? It would really help me!
The new Camry and it's competition is so much better.
what competition, Toyota is number 1 and then there's everybody else.
I'd personally get red with the light grey interior.
Am here once again watching another episode of things I can’t afford
Going to visit a local dealer corolla LE 2018 with 16k KM. Do you recommend even after all these years?
your camera looks so good , do you film with the 100mbps option or 60 mbps option on the sony cam?
I really like my 2016 Honda CRV it's the most reliable and best CRV ever made
I just got this car for myself the other day, major upgrade from my 2008 Versa 😭
Can you make a car review of the 2017 toyota highlander xle awd v6 or hybrid? Thanks
Corolla gang
Very good
Are you posting a 2018 Corolla IM soon?
I believe the IM, which is a Mazda 2, is discontinued for 2018, Miguel.
When u will change your dodge ? Its the best .
Where do I buy blinker fluid for this vehicle
I have that same 2018 Corolla in the same color
Does it come with Android Auto integration ?
Does it have prewiring for fog lights?
CAN anybody help me should i buy 2015 Honda civic ex or 2016 Toyota corolla s or the 2016 Honda civic ex . but i really don't like the 2016 civic back it looks ugly to me .
Ribesh Kafley . Look up the new 2018 Camry.
Bro that would be too much for my first car .lol
Ribesh Kafley . 2016 honda civic ex or ex-t
Ribesh Kafley . Don't get any new Honda. Those CVTs are faulty. It seems that they have issues after 4 years or so. Look it up. I would get a Corolla, preferably a certified pre owned. You will save lots of money over a brand new. I just bought a new 2018 Camry SE and it already lost $5,000 in value even though it has only around 800 miles.
i was thinking of 2015 honda civic ex or 2016 toyota corolla s at first . I wanted to customize the car i buy so i was thinking civic idk
Great videos.
Torn between this or a 2018 Jetta 1.4t S. Jetta hands down a better performer and price but GDI engines are a turn off ( due to carbon buildup). The Corolla seems to have better reliability but hear of futue expensive CVT replacements, actually CVT's in general. Guess it depends on whats the least of worries (CVT replacement vs GDI carbon buildup).
CDs have pretty high def audio.
Hey mike! Could you do a review of the 2017 Cadillac CTS? Thanks!
Seriously, no navigation system or Apple or Android car play at these prices and no push button start?
Cathlean Johnson in 4 years, that car is still going to be worth pretty much the same amount of money. Vs the other cars with the Apple and Android stuff got to be worth a third of the value. I definitely get the concern with the lack of Technology with this car. But the reliability and durability Factor, far outweighs the conveniences that you get with other cars in this class.
Phrench Vanilla Thanks for the info, shopping for a newer car and will keep the Corolla on the list...
No bud the base model has little for fancy stuff try the SE or sxe trim lines
Joseph Poniatowski my friend just picked up a 2018 Le. It has Lane departure, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, keyless entry, sounds pretty fancy to me! LOL. I have a Camry SE sport, and basically the only things that I have that they don't have, is a sunroof heated seats navigation keyless entry and XM. But the 2018 Corolla LE does have some pretty cool things on it!
Phrench Vanilla good choice I would have bought a higher trim but not enough cash
I have a Mitsubishi mirage for a year now, and I would like to try a Toyota corolla for the first time!. When Mr. Bidden send me my $1400 stimulus check.
Me estoy spoileando el auto que tendre dentro de 1 semana 😂😂
Hi Mike...This is going to be my very first new car, and i would choose it for it's reliability. I'd love to have a camry but not ready with the budget. WOuld ypu suggest me that Corolla LE model would be my resort for now?? or any other variant of COrolla??
Joel Stephen I just bought a ce and it's great go for the higher trims if you want heated this and that and a GPS but other ways it's the same comfortable driving experience
I'm a Camry fan and I had to go down to a Toyota Corolla hopefully can get the Camry 2021
I have the exact same 18 Corolla LE but black exterior and black/dark grey interior with silver/crome accents/trim. Mine has 127k miles and still running strong. Only thing done engine wise was a new battery after 3yrs. Have had new tires and brakes and new shocks n struts all the way around paid for by my extended warranty that my mechanic had done since my warranty was about to expire so why not, I had to get some use out of it 😂
Have you ever changed the transmission fluid? I just bought one at 70000 miles.
@munashemanzanga4823 No I've never changed it and it still runs and shifts like new, I have 141k miles on it now and still all I've had to do to the engine was replaced the battery once, the battery that comes stock is a little 440cca but I replaced it with a 750cca and it's still going strong. I've never changed the transmission fluid so I never will. I'm gonna trade it in after I finish paying it off soon. But if I could go back to having only 70k miles I would say change it now and then every 40-60k miles
@@RonnieRockafellahow much did it take to get the engine replaced? Or was that covered by warranty as well?
@mekaelejigu6163 o no. I never had the engine replaced. It's the original engine with 150k miles now and still running strong with no issues and I've never changed the trans fluid and still shifts like new. Only thing replaced was the battery. I did recently have to replace a abs wheel speed sensor on the front passenger side (guessing from all the potholes in Michigan) which cost me $300 at a local shop
@@RonnieRockafella ah okay, I misread! I have the same car in the LE trim. Glad to know it’ll still be doing me justice when I get to that mileage.
nice cars !!
does the LE trim level of the 2018 corolla have power seats and lumbar support?
FARAZ FAROOQI no power seats same as the 2017 models gotta get the xle or higher for power seats
Why people when it sees "s" in the gear selector they automatically says sport mode. There is no +/- selection. It stands for second, not sport.
Window sticker says "Shift mode". while it is not exactly a sport mode it does simulate gear shifting in the CVT for more spirited driving.
according to the 2018 manual the "S" stands for engine braking and the"B" stands for maximum engine braking. It's basically the 1 and 2 in older cars. You're right about people assuming it means sport.
Could you please do an xle? Thank you mike!
I have the 2014 Corolla LE fully loaded, is this worth the upgrade?
superarsenal009 it pretty much the same as your 2014 just a few minor change.
Alright, thanks
Aaron 1530091 gaming and reaction no it's not the chassis is brand new for 2018 and has been redesigned from the ground up the 2018 Toyota Corolla is a new car all around
superarsenal009 depends if you can afford it. I would considering saftey sense p is free
I like it better the the Honda civic
and also, do i get Entune in LE too??
Yes
How mach $ this is sale $3000 dollas ?
Whats the difference the corrola 2017 & 2018 LE? 😪
Dexter Paglinawan Difference of 1 year.
just the model year
Saftey sense
Watch a video or two this year is rebuilt from the ground up
Dexter Paglinawan different start up buzzer lol
Does anyone know how to turn eco mode off on this car ? For the life of me I cannot figure out how to turn it off
15:32 The ECO mode button should be next to the traction control button if you have it. If not then the "ECO" you see on the dash is just telling you that you are driving easy and saving gas. "During Eco-friendly acceleration
operation (Eco driving), Eco Driving Indicator Light will turn on.
When the acceleration exceeds
Zone of Eco driving, and when the
vehicle is stopped, the light turns
off." See page 99-100 cdn.dealereprocess.org/cdn/servicemanuals/toyota/2018-corolla.pdf
Is it a keyless start
The Jokestar only the xle or xse trims
I have thought about it and I don't really mind that much that this car doesn't have Android Auto/Apple Carplay for one reason. This is because it has build in navigation as a package to this low trim level. At least for me the only reason that I use Android Auto for in my car would be for using Google Maps and everything else I would just use off of Bluetooth, because having to plug in your phone just to get nav through the car's infotainment screen just seems like a waste of a charging cycle and therefore aging your phone's battery quicker. I don't know how good Toyota's build in nav system is like, but with modern day tech it is probably at least comparable to Google Maps. As far as the rest of Android auto goes most of it can be done through most car's systems via Bluetooth like Pandora, your music library, and making/receiving hands free calls. The only things I can't do with my car without AA would be asking google now questions and vocally send texts/have the system read me new texts. I just feel like needing to plug your phone in and waste a charge cycle along with your data especially if it is limited just seems inferior compared to a car system's nav paired with Bluetooth that is on basically every car in this segments either being standard or one package/trim up from the absolute base.
can I used android auto with this model ?
Front disc brakes, rear drum? just like the Elantra se. Hyundai got slammed for this, will Toyota for doing the same ?
132 Horsepower & 128 Lb Ft Torque.
They need to stop putting steel tires and hubcaps come on now Toyota all that money y’all get can’t even throw real rims on it.
For real I need some rims on my car 😫 and spoiler.
good good
It is the last year for a CD player
since they redesigned this car I thought it looked nice but these refreshes have only made it look worse
I have this car but it’s a se
Do 2018 get option for BSM?
Anderson no.
Toyota entune does not support on corolla se 😭😭😭😭😭 wwhhhhhyyy? Homagad 😔
I want to straight pipe mine why idk can I idk
Why can't they have the imitation carbon fiber also on the grill instead of gaudy-looking glossy plastic?
Chao Hong Li easy answer, they could!
Who knows maybe to save money
Good or not, but Octavia is the best in C class.
I am no fan of the construction of this car.
CDs are dead. Long live CDs!
I may be vain, but I don't like the look of the interior of this car at all. That creamy color is real ugly, and the instrument panels are ugly too, with the one above the steering wheel looking ten years out of date. My 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback had a more appealing looking instrument panel, even though it's an older car than this one and doesn't have a quarter of the features.
