Thanks for sharing that with us. Very nice! You are sure fortunate to get all the parts, as said. That's the hardest part of getting great restorable examples. I was wondering about the gasket from the beginning of the video! That's quite ingenious how they adapted the wide Frigidaire gasket with the metal pole.
Love this Imperial, and incredible condition!!!! Food-o-rama . . . . . . the Holy Grail. If I ever find one,,,,,,,,,I'll pay big $. Otherwise I pay $100 or free for removal from basements for most. I;ve owned about 50 or more, buy/sell and keep the best ones. Love your videos! Lot's of good info.
Had a customer (hvac) and every year for annual service you would go down into the basement ans see his furnace was a different color. One year it was Kawasaki Racing green, next year was Fire engine red. All paint was Emron air craft paint. I know you cant do enamel to change color but it be cool to try. Nice video's
This is very beautiful. This is back when they made things that were very impressive, and built to last. I like the design with the pull out shelves. Whoever had it took very good care of it. Are you selling it or keeping it. I think you said it was going to a museum type place. Hopefully it will last another 60 years
I have one and was wondering if you could give me an idea of what you might charge to do it. Also, did you retrofit a newer compressor etc? Looks Awesome!!
Beautiful! Enjoyed your video:) we have a Frigidaire Cyclo-matic and plugged it in on Saturday…seems to work great. Only problem…the freezer door finger handle/grip is missing. I’ve been searching high and low for a replacement….any suggestions or recommendations on locating a replacement? Thank again and appreciate your time! Gorgeous refrigerator😊
My grandfather has a 54 or 55 French door. It hasn’t been plugged in since the 70s. It’s missing the freezer doors, a shelf and the cheese and butter doors:/. I’ve been trying to find stuff or see if it’s worth anything
That is really cool looking and amazing thats it’s 68 years old. I don’t recall you mentioning how it’s actually working? Does it get cold and does the freezer actually freeze?
I know you're a real refrig guy seeing all the drawers, shelves and goodies stacked high. Yes, you have to collect these pieces. Most fridges are missing interior parts........as you know.
hello Justin. greetings from norway! i have a frigidaire general motors 1950. on the back wall it says MM-76. do you know where i can buy a doorseal/gasket?? hope you write back, thanks.
I have a beautiful 56 FoodArama, the fat modern gasket that keeps the cold in, puts pressure on the door handles. The door handles get stuck closed and or eventually fall apart. So currently I'm only using my FoodArama for paper product storage. Can you recommend a magnetic gasket so I can use my FoodArama again?
That’s the most beautiful refrigerator I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t be able to part with it if I were you. Why wouldn’t you keep it and use it in your kitchen?
Hope you are well + love your video's... very cool + might you be able to help me??? My door handle is broken... + I can't find any video's on how to repair it... do you know how to repair it... @
One of these is in the kitchen of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water house in Mill Run PA. The only one I’ve ever seen… tour guide said it no longer runs.
I want a vintage fridge so bad. But idk where to find them…. Buuuuttttt I work at a HVAC and refrigeration company so I can get r-22 if need for one. 🤷🏽♂️ just wish I had a vintage fridge
Hi im a 64 year old lady who has a GE fridge that needs help. It just stopped working about a year ago. Could you and your crew help get it restored to its oriorigina😢l condition. This thing is older than me! I want to clean out my basement basement and basement basement and have a kitchen downstairs as well as the one upstairs
Can anybody find for me a vintage refrigerator that had a door within the door? No glass but a small one foot cutout with a small handle on the outside of the refrigerator door. I remember seeing it at an estate sale once and thought "Samsung your a little behind". Sadly I forgot the maker. But I was proud America thought about that first.
That has to be the most beautiful refrigerator I've ever seen aesthetically
It is absolutely amazing.
I saw it first! It's mine!
Yeah!
The fridge has the lines of a sleek 50s car, no wonder it was made by GM. Thank you so much for sharing your hard work!
I wish they made beautiful fridges and stoves like they did back in the day
The most beautiful fridge I've ever seen.
Wow that's a great fridge! I love the pink rose gold on the interior!

Made by General Motors. In 1956, this top-of-the-line Frigidaire cost $469.95 Fridge Capacity

Do u have a video on the Ride-Aire feature that lifts the refrigerator using the household sweeper? Was great to clean under it.
That is so cool
I love everything vintage... Just say your channel.. Do u do stoves as well?
Anyone know if there's a review of that fridge in that 1956 commercial?
I have one and was wondering if you could give me an idea of what you might charge to do it. Also, did you retrofit a newer compressor etc? Looks Awesome!!
Excelente! ❤

Have you ever come across the GE wall mounted fridge? What about the GE Wonder Kitchen with all appliances under one counter except the wall fridge?
My grandfather has a 54 or 55 French door. It hasn’t been plugged in since the 70s. It’s missing the freezer doors, a shelf and the cheese and butter doors:/. I’ve been trying to find stuff or see if it’s worth anything
I wonder if you could 3d print the missing doors.
Did you try contacting the company?? They may have New Old Stock - NOS parts.
That is really cool looking and amazing thats it’s 68 years old. I don’t recall you mentioning how it’s actually working?

In what year did the first magnetic door seal arrive?

You just need the correct door gasket and to adjust it properly.
I like the Soft Butter storage
Where do you find these gems
Average time for restoration
Have you ever 3D printed missing plastic components for a vintage refrigerator?
do you sell these also?
What do you think should I get some Big chill appliances I mean on paper they look very good but I don't really know about the quality
If I can't say anything nice, I shouldn't say it at all....
I would like that fridge ......
That’s the most beautiful refrigerator I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t be able to part with it if I were you. Why wouldn’t you keep it and use it in your kitchen?
Where do you keep eggs?
Do you sell restored refrigerators and Stoves?

I am looking to buy some vintage fridges but am having a horrible time finding a site. Do you have a suggestion?
Hm. Vintage55restorations.com 😬
how come this old fridge seems more modern than nowaday fridges.. awee...
Are they do sale ?
Do you sell these fridges
Call me crazy, but I love restored classic refrigerators as much as I do restored classic cars.
One of these is in the kitchen of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water house in Mill Run PA. The only one I’ve ever seen… tour guide said it no longer runs.
I saw a refrigerator built in above counters, like cabinets.
Yep the fridge was a little bit smaller than the one that you're showing same freezer door the same inside almost there was a sweet little fridge
What's that noise?
I don't think UA-cam will have a video of a 2024 refrigerator in the year 2100. It would've been in the dump for at least 65 years be then.
I want a vintage fridge so bad. But idk where to find them…. Buuuuttttt I work at a HVAC and refrigeration company so I can get r-22 if need for one. 🤷🏽♂️ just wish I had a vintage fridge
What about showing the coil and compressor.
Seems a bit counterproductive to have a section inside the fridge that is deliberately warmed. But she is beautiful.
I mean you’re paying more to have nice safe place to keep spreadable closer-to-room-temp butter

There's a website claiming to sell this exact fridge with your photo. Is it legit???
I would pay big bucks for that fridge
WoW I am in love Hubba Hubba what a fridge I wonder if it’s a bitch to defrost when it gets cold?
Bro I 25 I never knew they took my butter warmer away

He's hot!!!
Pretty sure he means General Electric not General Motors lol
I definitely meant General Motors. Frigidaire was a division of the car company. Thanks for the arrogant nonsense
This guy talks too much
