A lil note from me to you as I upload this vid - there are SO MANY more options online for products under $5 and also larger shade ranges for a lot of the products versus what was available in store ( ie the LA concealer had like 5 shades in store and there are 28 shades on ulta's website) A LOT of products were also out of stock at all ulta, walmart, target in store , (like wet n wild at walmarts are always SO brutally out of stock) but online has most things for when you do your shopping!

Don’t normally comment, but loved this one! Seems not many beauty yters are paying attention to drug store anymore. Which is understandable, since brand deals and stuff are necessary and good for your job - but I appreciate you stepping back into the more affordable! :)

Wet n Wild have contour sticks for under 5 dollars and so does Jordana! Also Kathleen has raved for years about the Essence Pure nude highlighter in the shade Be my highlight but more recently she discovered the Pure nude Sunlighter one which is the one you have. I’m pretty sure she uses it as a bronzer topper because it’s darker than the other one so there are two different ones, the Pure Nude Highlighter and the Pure Nude Sunlighter.
you have the most beautiful, intriguing face like you are genuinely nice to look at. that was probably creepy as hell but your face is so esthetically pleasing. 😭😭

Btw, Kathleen was actually talking about the original Essence High Beam Highlighter, and that's more champagne! The Sunlighter is the new golden version but both are beautiful!

FYI, the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter in the shade 01 is the one Kathleen talked about! We found out about it from her as well and use it almost every day. The shade you tried is really pretty too!

The essence mascara you might enjoy even better (like I do! ) is the volume stylist 18h the purple/lavender tube. The Essence Be my highlight highlighter is gorgeous too. May I suggest a 'Canadian' series of product reviews such as Marcelle, Annabelle, Quo (products and brush range), Lise Watier? Cheers!

Everyone is raving over that mascara (even Tati, I think) and I am so sad I can’t use it :( no Mascara from Essence, no eye liner, no concealer... they make my eyes burn and become watery. Their foundations make me break up :(
Martine Desjardins I love that mascara! Use it every day. I do tons of coats of it and then a couple coats with lash princess the green writing one. It’s like my dream team combo cause I achieve both volume and length with them. Try it girl 😉
I absolutely loved that you used elf brushes and wet and wild lipsticks. Hear me out, the reason why i stopped wearing makeup completely is because i felt defeated due to all these high end products that have been reviewed on YT, especially with watching my "prefered" makeup artists....but seeing this video has inspired me to do makeup on myself once again. I love the cheap makeup alternatives that are out there and i love a bargain! Youve set a fabulous taste in my mouth and i will continue to support what you do and your videos. Yay! I miss watching drugstore makeup videos - not enough people make them anymore! I feel proud that I know a good number of great drugstore makeup :) The Wet n wild bronzer and highlighter singles are also really great!

The L.A. Girl Concealer comes in like 30 shades and it's PERFECT for cream contouring or bronzing! :)
GIRL! There is only one Queen in the non-luxury makeup world, and that's Kiko! I doubt they have it in Canada since they only have a couple in all of the US, but it's all over Europe (It's an Italian brand). Best quality and amazing prices between $2 and $20. I often prefer their products over fancier ones. Try them whenever you're in NY or Europe!!

The highlight shade in the NYC duo is probably not supposed to be shimmery, just like a light matte powder to set :)
Yes, you're right. Both of those shades are matte products. The lighter powder it meant to highlight under the eyes and other places, that these days people typically highlight with a lighter concealer shade. It's NYC's version of a similar type product from Marc Jacobs. Wet n Wild have something similar as well. It's basically the type of lighter powder typically found in contouring palettes - like ABH and KVD

I absolutely loved this Allana! I love seeing drug store products featured. Even under $10-15 is fabulous. There are so many amazing performing products and we probably don’t even need to be buying anything more expensive. Although my new DesiXKaty palette is freaking beautiful!
