My dad has one in the edition with a 1.4 tsi dsg it has loads of room, did a 7 hour journey in the back of it and got out feeling i could go for hours longer.
after a few months of driving it, i can confirm it's an awesome car for the money. it's immensely popular as well, expect to wait between 6 months and a year (i waited 10 months)
I tried to configure this car but with all the options I wanted it ended up really expensive.. I think a peugeot 3008 gt 2.0 diesel automatic instead makes more sense. For 43000 euros it has everything on it. From 19" alloys, all weather 235 tyres, grip control with 3 modes (snow, mud, sand), hill descent assistance, 360 camera with front-rear parking sensors, blind spot setection, automatic led headlights, rain sensors, active advanced cruise control, active emergency break, active lane assist, break assist, car-play and android auto, bluetooth, dual-zone climate control, 2 digital displays and tomtom navigation with connected services for 3 years, nappa leather sports seats, keyless entry and electronic boot, 3 fragrances that are pumped out from the ventilation... It's a no-brainer
Great review - just found, sorry. We are collecting our new-to-us 2018 SE L 4x4 next week, and really looking forward to it. With the dark metallic maroon paint outside, and oatmeal leather and Alcantara inside, plus that humungous glass roof, it was instant love on the short test drive we took around Kings Lynn. We are really looking forward to going back to North wales this Spring, to see over the hedgerows all that we've been missing with ten years of E-Class Mercedes-Benz estates - loved 'em - all three - but appalling hikes to the insurance made a change to something less expensive and higher off the ground for out awful Cambridgeshire roads made a change inevitable, and, at our time of life, vital. Not even M-B's wonderful, but VERY expensive, air-matic suspension could cope, costing us thousands in repair bills...
How have you found it? I’m currently looking and have discounted the BMW x1 and Audi Q3 in favour of this Skoda. I believe that it’s worth getting the SEL rather than the SE however with my budget it’s going to be the 1.5l petrol version.
@@itsscott313 We are loving it - mainly because of the almost 50mpg economy and cheap insurance - half that of the MB. If you can stretch to the sun-roof, get it - it's amazingly bright in there!
@@tacfoley4443did you go for the 2l diesel version? I’ve looked at mpg for the 1.5 petrol and it says on average 35-40. I’m looking second hand so it’ll probably be a 19-20 plate. Looking forward to test driving it though!
@@itsscott313 Yes, we got the larger output 2l diesel that comes with the 4WD version. We've had Mercedes-Benz in twos since the late 70's - one petrol and one diesel, and latterly two diesels until the unbelievable price hike this year that saw them double and triple in cost. All thanks to EVs and the ease with which high-price cards like Range-Rovers and so on can be stolen in less than ten seconds.
I watched a few reviews on this car now. Nearly every one has totally different views on it. Who's right and wrong.I would never buy a car based on online reviews.
Just had a mk8 5dr hatch golf R for a day, did a 350 mile trip on the west of Scotland with a moderate driving with occasional pedal to the metal overtakes and averaged 44mpg 😜😜
As a presenter I quite like this guy but as a motoring correspondent... Learn to drive properly! Get your fecking hand off the gear stick and on the wheel. I'm not asking for "ten-to-two" and "pull-push" but not using your other hand when you run out of movement with one is monumentally dumb.

Great review 👌
38mpg for an Auto isn't bad, the Manual should be more economical I guess.
What edition of Kodiaq is this car?
Gr8 video just strarting my own UA-cam Chanel dedicated to the motor industry
1:25 Not seen that before? Ford Focus has had that for two generations.
no one does car reviews better than this, not even me - (joke)

Awesome
Didn't like the background music at all.. review was good overall, but editing of the video could be improved.. as for the car, I love it!!
Smarter my ass! You cannot install 3 children seats in the second row!
Trying to copy Jeremy much? Anyway, still entertaining
Or is it named after a bear because it's shit in the woods?? :-))
