It was probably about 6 years ago when I first played this game. I was only 13 back then. Now that I listen to this I remember how sad this song made me. I remember because somehow it makes me feel the same feelings again today: Young, alone, helpless. It's really weird, but quite beautiful.
Dawn of the Dragon was a bitter and yet great farewell to Spyro we all know and love. It's a great way to see him off. To leave him to his happy ending. Though some may say they want to see more of him, i say no more. Let's just leave him alone as he is. His story is good as it is and adding more would ruin it.
Just listening to this song brigs back the memories over the many hard painful years, and just hearing it makes me want to cry because of how fast the years went by and it feels like it just came out last year. I am pissed that Skylanders canceled the movie, so much that wouldn't mind getting arrested for murdering those horrible creators. Legend of Spyro trilogy at least had passion behind it from the devs, e.g. had a good story, soundtrack, the works. Wasn't till Activision took the reins that things went to trash with Skylanders.
Elijah Wood's in this, what do you expect? :P He was Frodo, after all, and like Spyro had Cynder, Frodo had some on his journey. The only difference is, Cynder never left Spyro behind like Sam did when he believed Frodo was dead. Of course, Spyro and Cynder were chained together, but still, you understand what I mean. That, and it was also because Cynder loved Spyro and never wanted to leave him.
Chucky Amber Jess Harnell is not dead. He was the guy who voiced Spyro before Elijah Wood, and he's the announcer of America's Funniest Home Videos. Meanwhile, Tom Kenny and Carlos Alazraqui are still very much alive, as well, with SpongeBob being proof of that. I'm really confused on what in God's name you're trying to say.

The Legend of Spyro trilogy introduced me to this dragon game back in 2008, I played the Eternal Night's GBA version and I liked the little purple Spyro. It was just months before the Dawn of the dragon released, waited for its release, when I got to look around for xbox360 games at a mall, there it was, the final installation of the trilogy. Grabbed it right away. Now I'm sad it's not backwards compatible on xbox one :(
I think that "spyro" and "cynder" would have been both alive again because if it was possible to somehow "revive" them using some sort of "unknown method" would it be done to prevent their deaths after the end because somehow for some reason I have the "feeling" as if it could be possible to bring both "spyro" and "cynder" from their deaths because I think that maybe that maybe the power of something that can't be comprehended like "magic" could be somehow something but I'm guessing that it's possible using it to rip into any dimension someone could think with just one single thought might just be enough to do something at least because I'm going to be "determined" to make sure that it works properly however I'm trying to figure out how currently basically. :/

I know your pain; in the TLoS series I played this one first, then ANB, followed by DoTD. I was at Walmart looking for another game couldn't find it didn't want to leave empty handed so I picked up this one...…..I don't regret it
@adam Young They are ALWAYS looking for ways to fuck up a beloved franchise. I wasn't THAT into Spyro until ANB. After that and the later two games, I was hooked on the Legend of Spyro series. Now I am witnessing Spyro's demise unless they do a proper "reboot" (as they say) of the franchise. I can imagine a TLoS movie (taking place during and after Dawn of the Dragon), but if they make a Skylanders movie, I will sue on the grounds of Spyro being destroyed for profit. Sounds stupid, but it's at least an attempt to get back at Activision for its fuck ups.
I'll back you up on that sue but and yes i think we have seen the last of spyro sadly once they start putting out more skylanders games the title of spyro will be barried and forgoton by them for each skylander game that comes out the further away from spyro they get. Honestly, I loved the first three Spyro games. The one thing I hated about Year of the Dragon is how they made Sparx "talk". Enter the Dragonfly was alright, but I hated what they did with the animation style on that one. A Hero's Tale also had a pretty ugly "realistic" animation style, but it was still kind of fun. For this series I've only owned and played The Eternal Night, but this game was where it was all ruined for me. Spyro seemed like he changed way too much, and now Sparx completely talks and was apparently changed into an annoying wisecracking sidekick. I loved running around levels, collecting gems and doing special challenges just to get full completion and see everything the game had. But when this series started, all it was about was beating up enemies mercilessly and fighting. That's not what Spyro was originally about, it was about the adventure you went through and the interesting characters and enemies you met along the way. Pretty much when Skylanders was created, Spyro wasn't even "Spyro" anymore. They made him look awful and practically ripped him from the Spyro games to start up their own cheap version of this game. I'm not trying to be a jerk and argue saying that I'm right, but after all these changes to Spyro, it would take a miracle just to bring back the magic of what the game once was. All video game companies care about now are sales. Nostalgia and adventure are dying. First-person shooters seem to be the future of gaming now.
Spyro did change from the original series to the legend series but I believe it was for the better and I do have valid reasons for this. First off the newer games was more up to date, with better graphics, mechanics, and plot line (obviously not the best but you get the point). Since I first started on the legend series this is opinionated but, I believe there was more story line that evoked emotion in the legend series and I point to this video and its' comments as evidence (this was the end credit song for The Eternal Night). As for nostalgia of course people whom played the originals first would fell more nostalgic to them and that could bias options of which game was good. And I'm not saying The Legend series was perfect by any stretch of the imagination, for it was most definitely not, but It was almost infinitely better than the slanderers spyro (mutant), nor am I saying the original series was bad, I am Simply saying, for their respective times and audiences, both series were ground-breaking achievements that warranted a large amount of nostalgia and love, the fact they were of the same character was a simple amazing coincidence. The legend series was an honest reboot and not just using Spyro a puppet to make another game popular only to be cast aside later. It added to Spyro giving him a new background and putting in new play mechanics and it even had a great story line through out the trilogy. The Legend series even made several call backs to the original game to appeal to nostalgia for players of the original game by keeping some of the core mechanics and even sparks eating butterflies and other silent nods to the old games. But you must remember this a entirely new game with a new world, new cast/personalities, new mechanics, excreta so some of the things will be different such as sparks' very ... interesting personality, but please I beg of you don,t condemn it for not being its predecessor. Also, in regards to the skylanders spyro I'm only going to say this *sigh* *silent tear*
I like Spyro A Hero's Tail and Shadow Legacy and Shadow Legacy really needs a sequel because of the Cliffhanger ending seriously Shadow Legacy really needs a sequel to it where the Sorcerer returns as the main antagonist and the Shadow Realms also returning as well and Spyro and Ember becoming an official couple in the Original Spyro Videogame Series and I don't care about Ember x Bandit Spyro x Ember is better
This is still damn good compared to skylanders. Ya know what? Fuck it. They're all good, but skylanders should not have used spyro, and legend is for less traditional fans. I love the original and legend trilogies equally, as the quirkiness of the original is compromised for a story, and while sparx may be annoying, it's interesting to bear through it to know everything there is to it. Oops, I'm just ranting on now. To sum it up, just play the others without nostalgia goggles.

the legend of Spyro is for a reasonable part based on mythology/history, so it is logic that it has similarity's to some other good story's

The Legend series even made several call backs to the original game to appeal to nostalgia for players of the original game by keeping some of the core mechanics and even sparks eating butterflies and other silent nods to the old games. But you must remember this a entirely new game with a new world, new cast/personalities, new mechanics, excreta so some of the things will be different such as sparks' very ... interesting personality, but please I beg of you don,t condemn it for not being its predecessor.
Also, in regards to the skylanders spyro I'm only going to say this *sigh* *silent tear*
I like Spyro A Hero's Tail and Shadow Legacy and Shadow Legacy really needs a sequel because of the Cliffhanger ending seriously Shadow Legacy really needs a sequel to it where the Sorcerer returns as the main antagonist and the Shadow Realms also returning as well and Spyro and Ember becoming an official couple in the Original Spyro Videogame Series and I don't care about Ember x Bandit Spyro x Ember is better
This is still damn good compared to skylanders.
Ya know what? Fuck it. They're all good, but skylanders should not have used spyro, and legend is for less traditional fans. I love the original and legend trilogies equally, as the quirkiness of the original is compromised for a story, and while sparx may be annoying, it's interesting to bear through it to know everything there is to it.
Oops, I'm just ranting on now. To sum it up, just play the others without nostalgia goggles.
